This hotel is typical Ibis style, so if you don't like the Ibis chain, you wont be happy. However, this hotel has excellent position in the city - it is few minutes away from the train station (the station is 5 minutes away from the airport), few more minutes from the a tram knot and approximately 15-20 minutes walk from the city centre. The staff in the hotel is very kind, helpful and nice. Excellent position, very close to the city centre, very nice staff, clean hotel, very good place to stay.

The hotel is easily reached from the station in a few minutes on foot, there are also many restaurants within walking distance. If you have to be or want to be in the centre of things, this is the right location. Service was friendly, the room was perfectly satisfactory and well-insulated. However both room and bathroom were small, space in Geneva is at a premium. The breakfast was a little disappointing, only average Ibis, here again space is limited. If you do not need to be right in the centr... Read more

We got lost coming from the station, despite a map and directions but it is about a ten minute walk. The rooms were modern, refurbished and very comfortable and quiet. The reception desk was efficient and friendly and spoke a million languages. Security was good (metal blinds that would lock down the window) and needing a room key to get into a lift. I did not eat breakfast but it was a ten minute walk from the lake and the old centre. I would stay again in a heart beat.

Very good hotel, located right in the city centre. Unfortunately on the night that we stayed there was a band playing in the adjacent square until 1am so it was quite noisy. Would recommend taking ear plugs with you just in case! Rooms are very spacious, clean & have all of the basics required. Room appeared to have been recently refurbished. Reception staff were very friendly & welcoming.

I stayed at this hotel in late April 2016 after a trip through France. I arrived at Gare de Cornavin and simply walked to the hotel. I walked out the front of the train station and immediately turned left. At the huge Warwick hotel I again turned left under the train tracks on Rue du Fort-Barreau and walked about 15 minutes to the hotel. There really isn't any other hotel or restaurant in the immediate area but there are several good dining choices if you're willing to walk 15 minutes. This is ... Read more

Located on the left of the train station. Walk along (against the direction of the train) the road next to the train station, take about ten minutes to reach the hotel. Nothing much nearby the hotel, nearest tram stop is about 5 minutes walk away and it takes only a few stop to reach the attractions. Hotel give away free public transport passes but you don't need to flash it to take the tram, just safe keep them for ticket inspection. Room is just nice for two person, as usual no fridge, but... Small hotel located 5 mins away from Geneva station. It was like stepping into IKEA, the rooms where very modern with a few design twists, clean and had everything you needed. Staff where helpful, breakfast was filling, tasty and plenty of it for 16 FR. My only issue was the road noise, so no windows open, air con all night and a warm and hot duvet. You could really do with just a sheet.

I am currently staying here for 2 nights. As a single female traveller this wonderful hotel lived up to previous reviews and what I was looking for on my trip to Geneva. Location was excellent walking distance from train 7 mins. If you take the free train from GVA and sit on the left side you will see the Ibis sign on the hotel as you arrive. This was excellent as it gave me my bearings when exiting the train station as there are 2 exits north and south look for the exit with the large church... Read more

Only stayed at this hotel for one night but have no complaints . Location is just a five minute walk from the main train station. Check in was very good mainly due to the friendly person at reception. Rooms basic but very clean. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as a very good value place to stay in Geneva.

I stayed here for one night during my trip to Geneva. The hotel is very central to all amenities (about 5 mins walk to the main train station). It's located on Rue de Berne which is a very long street and right at the other end is the red light district which is best avoided. The hotel itself lived up to my expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke fluent English and the continental breakfast (Swiss style) was good also. My room was basic but comfortable and I could sleep ... Read more

Great location close to the station. Numerous bus and tram routes within minutes of the hotel. Free travel card (access to all the trains, buses, trams and public transport boats across the lake) handy though much of central Geneva is easily accessible on foot. Very quiet at night considering its central location. Could walk to the river within 10 minutes. Refurbished rooms - simple but funky, practical and comfortable. Air con was handy in the summer heat. No bath but great shower. Reliable f... Read more

Having a one-night stay in Geneva before heading off to Lausanne, we stayed at the Ibis Geneve Centre Gare. We arrived late (flight issue) and the concierge welcomed us with no problems. Room small and efficient - looked as though Ikea had designed it, which is a positive for me! Very clean, comfy bed and very affordable for Switzerland. However, bring your own washcloth as they don't seem to be used in Switzerland. Also, windows actually open so try to get a room away from street - I don't... Read more

We only spent one night before going to the airport but were very impressed with the quick and pleasant check in. The hotel appears to have been renovated and is quite modern. Room and bathroom very clean and roomy for three of us. Great wifi connection. On a quiet street and only a few minutes walk to train station. Recommend staying here.

My stay was only a for a night, but there's nothing really negative to say about the hotel. The rooms are modern and well sized for the price range, and the location of the hotel can't be beat given that it's a short walk to Cornavin, and a decent walk to the core of the city near Lake Geneva. The staff was helpful and polite, and made me feel comfortable during check-in and check-out. The only downside is that the free breakfast is on the expensive side, and a bit underwhelming for the price gi... Read more

The staff were attentive and helpful. We stayed one night prior to our departure from Switzerland. This Ibis is within a few blocks of the train station, so we were able to arrive from elsewhere in Switzerland, wheel our suitcases to this Ibis, and check in then tour the old city of Geneva and have dinner. The breakfast is reasonable; rooms are clean and although not huge, adequate. A good place to stay in a very expensive city.

The rooms are clean and the staff are pleasant. Location is 5 Minutes away from the station which is great . However we had the windows opened at night because it was very hot and the noise from outside kept us awake. I guess if was not so hot we would have had the Windows closed. The aircon did not work but maybe we expect too much from a 3 star hotel. I suppose I was happy with the hotel as we paid just over a £130 per night Just to give you some tips about Geneva: Very very expensive to eat... Read more

Great location (10 minutes walk from the station) and 10 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the main areas. Friendly check in late at night and generally helpful throughout our stay with tourist information and maps etc. It does exactly what you would expect from a solid 3* well run IBIS - clean, modern, comfortable, small and functional. Would recommend!

The Ibis is situated in a central location and is only ten minute steady walk from the train station. Its a typical Ibis clean and tidy and a good (take note Novotel and Mecure) staff. The cities sites are no more than 10-15 minutes away and the shopping area slightly overrated is just next to the train station. Of course no fridges in these hotels or kettles but they do have adapters if you need one as you will need one if you fail to take a Swiss or Italian adapters. Nice stay nice staff.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is modern and the bed is comfortable. When i check the room, the sink is blocked and after i reported it to the reception, they quickly upgrade me to a better room.

Located right across the street from the and bus station, the location can't be beat. $2.50 will get from the airport by train in 15 minutes. Rooms are modern, big enough with great beds and bathroom. Excellent buffet for breakfast. About 5 blocks from the lake and river. Free transport passes are good for your entire stay on bus or train, just board and show ticket if asked.

My hubby and I stayed in this hotel in September 2016 for three nights. It is very close to the train station, just about 10-minute walk away. It is a typical Ibis, everything is clean, neat and tidy. Check-in (and check-out as well) is fast and easy. The staff at the reception are very nice and friendly. We are provided with transportation tickets valid for the whole period during our stay which is a big surprise! That means free ride on local trams and buses including the yellow water bus... The hotel is located near the train station and it is central. This is particularly good for business. The room was small-ish but well furnished. Breakfast was OK. Staff is extremely kind. I'd say I wasn't impressed overall but would come back.

Compact living quarters but very clean and for a reasonable price why go big? Easy to trek to the centre of the city, airport and main railway station. Pleased to find an excellent breakfast, good coffee, freah bread, real starwberry jam, tasty cheese, overall happy with my choice which could be yours. If I have to return, this is where I will come just to see once again the smiling face of the receptionist.

A typical Ibis hotel, colorful and modern with small but well decorated rooms with comfortable beds. The bathroom was tiny but clean. The free Wi-Fi was good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is 8 min walking distance from the Central Train Station, and 10 min of walking to Lake Geneva.

So I frankly was expecting to be disappointed by this hotel, being one of the only "reasonably" priced hotels in Geneva during some sort of convention. It is about 4-5 blocks from the Gare Cornavin, not a bad walk but a bit of pain with luggage. But other than the location being less than ideal, I actually like the hotel. The lobby is small, but there is a bar and breakfast area. The room is adequate size, as is the bathroom. Bed and pillows were relatively comfortable. And road noise was ... Read more

Geneva is expensive but there is better value than this hotel The rooms are quite small and looks like it has been built by IKEA. There is no fridge in the room or coffee making facilities - 3.90 swiss fancs for a cup from the machine (although I was told on check in that this was free), only a couple of TV channels, you have to ask reception for an iron and a tiny ironing board, no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom etc etc. This is OK for a budget traveller but not if you are travelling on... Really worth the money if you are on a shoestring budget and wants to enjoy comfort as well. Friendly service especially from the front desk attendant, Mikael. Interior decoration is modern and colourful. Close to the station and restaurants and the lake is within walking distance. Airconditioning contributes to a good nights sleep.

Ibis Hotel Centre Gare was a Locational pick and I found it very good. What you want for a busines trip is a convenient location where you can walk to most of your meetings, a room large enough to sleep, and work peacefully. A breakfast at its meaning. Room was large enough, clean and furnished at least but enough. Breakfast was what you need in the morning, just a slice of this and that plus a hot coffe or tea. I am happy to say that Ibis Hotel has not disappointed as usual good price for value... Read more

Yes, ibis standard is there. Decent hotel, about 10minutes walk to the main train station. Small rooms with the price. Guessed was during the peak period. Service was good as expected. Not much facilities available. But good enough for a good night rest.
