Avoid staying here. A soulless hotel with often cold service and major issues. Room 916 was given to me on a business trip. It overlooks the outside bar and the music from the bar comes through the floor and window with a constant thump, thump. The bar shuts at 1am and the music continues till then I asked to be moved, but said that at my price band the only thing I could be offered was a cabin room which is very small and no windows! The bed is comfortable though. Shower dribbles out of the sho... Read more

Newly opened hotel which is opposite station, next to T bana and ideally located for getting around Stockholm. Stayed here for 3 nights in a twin room. The room was very clean but also very small. There was nowhere to put luggage, no drawers for clothes and only one chair in the room. There were no tea /coffee facilities in the room either. Breakfast buffet is extensive and of good quality. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Beds are extremely comfortable. Expensive stay for such a small room but ... Read more

This location has been open for just a couple months and it shows. Got an excellent - upgraded - room on the top floor. The room has great views over the city. The breakfast was slightly better that Scandic hotels normally have. Restaurant was maybe 1/4 full and you would expect fairly snappy delivery of food, but alas both starter (kale risotto) and the main (cauliflower cod) took painfully long. Maybe it was worth the wait given that dinner when it comes to the dishes was great, one could ven... Read more

Really really satisfied Breakfast was very good. Also hotel staff was very kind. First of all, the room was very clean and fancy. Perhaps the hotel will linger long in my memory. Thank you for kindness!!

The hotel service was typical Scandic; 2nf floor membership doesn't differ from normal guest other than a few small vouchers. But good things started to happen when entering the room. It was slightly bigger and brighter than other Scandics in city center. And the roof top bar is splendid; on a nice summer day it was packed of relaxed guests and citi people. Highly recommended!!

We spent 3days in Scandic Continental Hotel. The location is great, just across the Central Train and Bus Stations. so it is very easy to arrive Arlanda Airport. Sightseeing bus stop was a few minutes by walking. You may arrive in 5 minutes for good shopping alternatives. Hotel was renovated, and clean. There was no minibar and tea-coffee machine in our room. And there was no locker for dressings. There were other choices as hangers and apparatus on the wall. Bathroom was fine and big enough... Read more

Stayed here for the long Bank Holiday weekend. I booked a standard twin room and was travelling with friends. The room was clean and modern. The bed was comfortable with a number of different sized pillows. It had useful information in the room about what to do in Stockholm. There's no wardrobe but just a small shelf attached to the wall and a long rail with some hangers which you can hang your clothes on. There's a desk and a full length mirror which I liked. In the bathroom they give you free ... Read more

Room ***of 5: innovative Scandinavian design, i.e no cupboard (instead some metal pipes on one side, wooded wall decoration on the other to hang clothes) not ideal solution. Also, they had no tissues anywhere (!!??!!) and no mini bar: no place for us to store baby food. We gave it to the bar at reception. Noise: avoid 7th floor, just beneath the hotel bar disco: Music and lots of furniture moving until 1am (at least) However, staff was very accommodating and found us a room in the 4th floor - so... This is a terrific hotel at a great price! Fresh, modern interiors welcomed us throughout the entrance, room & restaurant. Room was very clean & smartly decorated. Hotel's location is walking distance from central station so travel from airport on arlanda express was a breeze. Our complimentary breakfast was wonderful! Just look at the photos. Staff was kind, efficient & courteous. I'm at a Radisson for 2nd night in city & this Scandic ranks right up with it in comparison at half the price. Plen... Read more

Very nice hotel in a perfect location: close to both the train station and the Gamla Stan. Very nice design. I liked the room. I was first a bit disappointed since there were no windows, but after experiencing the sunny Swedish nights I was actually happy for that. The breakfast is OK, with a good selection of food. It is not cheap, but nothing is cheap in the Stockholm center. I just had a disappointing interaction with the staff: it took me five phone calls to convince them to send someone to ... Read more

We stayed here for 2 nights. Service - We found that all the staff were pleasant from our experience of checking in, going for breakfast in the hotel and asking staff to store our luggage after checking out. The room was very clean and still had the new feeling. Food - We ate breakfast in the hotel on both mornings, this included the 'standard cooked breakfast' now found in most European hotels. We ate on floor 2 the first day as floor 1 was busy, and on the second day returned to floor 1. On t... Read more

The hotel is clean, has nice design, great bar and even better patio. The train station adjecent was still being built when I was there, but the café on the ground floor had opened. It is chic but the coffee is not up to standard for the coffee buffs like myself (other people in my group thought it was good).

Stayed at Scandic Continental for business in the early part of June. Arrived really early in the morning so I had to wait for my room...finally it was ready at 2:30pm. To be fair there were about 100 or so colleagues staying there so I'm sure that impacted the wait. As I waited for my room, a colleague who had checked in informed me there were no closets in the room...I didn't believe him. The good - very clean, bed comfortable, OK size room, pretty good electric plug access, good free internet, good location. Great roof top bar. Not so good - for me. First, I like more traditional hotels so if you like the W or that type of thing you will like this too. Things I didn't like: no closet, funny on the wall hangers, no outside window, looks out on internal hall and right into rooms across the hall. This hotel is in a perfect location. It is close to Stadhuset, Gamla Stan, Sergel Torg an the tunnel bana is right around the corner. The breakfast buffet is large and very good. Everyone can find something what he likes. Standard room has decent size but instead of a wardrobe you will find just a few hangers. It was cleaned every day. The receptionists were helpful at any time. I stayed on the 3rd floor and could here the trains however the beds are very comfortable.

It was a fantastically short and easy stroll across the street to the Scandic after a very nice Swedish businessman went out of his way to walk us the short distance from our train to where we could see our big, sleek, modern hotel. Check in was cordial and painless, however, finding the room was a bit maze like...every time...coming or going....maybe we needed another day or more sleep to figure it out. We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in June. The house has 11 floors with both city and water view. The standard room is very modern, not really spacious but offers everything a functional room needs. Only the lack of a place where to put the clothes made it a bit complicated as the suitcase was always in out ways. But that is just a minimal thing, otherwise there was nothing to complain. My wife and I will be a frequently visiting Stockholm as my son is working with a well known design company in the city. Scandic Continental boast on its central location, however there are a few other ‚??chain‚?? hotels within walking distance and close proximity of central station so it is not so unique to Scandic. It looked like they have put more effort in the aesthetic design of the place rather than making the hotel comfortable. We got a really cold room and had to change the room. So be aware that the rooms without Windows can be cold in the spring time (and summer time?). However the staff was friendly.

Scandic Continental is a brand new hotel at Vasagatan, next to the Main Railway Station and the Arlanda Express. The location is perfect, between the Old City and the city centre. The building looks beautiful and futuristic on the outside, with bold uneven lines and structures. Unfortunately it‚??s a little cryptic inside too. Room numbers are strangely split between odds and evens, and it was a bit confusing at the first time. Stairs end funnily at the 1st floor, and breakfast room was badly... Read more

Visited Stockholm the first time with my friend and chose this hotel. Paid US 180 for one-night stay here and we were quite disappointed. I stayed at the Scandic Continental for three nights. This is a pretty newish hotel (in fact some parts of it were still being built!). The location is great, right next to the main tran station.
