Me and my sister spent one night in Scandic about 2 weeks ago and had a very pleasant stay! We especially enjoyed the room which felt fresh and modern along with the bathroom which was huge. The bed was amazing! In the morning we enjoyed a great breakfast and they offered a wide range of choices with healthy and ecological food. Fantastic! I do have to give the hotel and its staff extra credit, we stayed there the week of the Eurovision song contest and even though it was very busy in the lobby,... Read more

Great central location next to the station of Stockholm. Rooms were very comfortable but a bit noisy (as are more hotels unfortunately). Breakfast was a sort of organised chaos. My tip: don't include it with the room, there is actually nobody checking.

Stayed here on a business trip for 4 nights. The hotel is clean, although a bit dated. The service was friendly and the location was good, but the rooms were very small, and within the rooms the bathroom was tiny. Even though the bed was the equivalent of a king size, the room would be tight for 2 people.

The main reason I stayed at Grand Central is because I found out that they offer many vegan options for breakfast. While it's true that you find things you rarely find somewhere else (vegan cheeses, vegan pate); the choice of those things was the same every day, so after a few days staying there it was not as impressive as the first day. Warm options included only a porridge; so that's something they could improve. The room was neat and spacious, the bed was comfortable; but I found the room to... Read more

The hotel has an excellent location if you're arrive by the airport train - just take the Kungsgt exit from the station and you're a half block away. Otherwise, the hotel has a decent location - near the new town and about a 25-minute walk to Gamla Stan. The staff is very friendly and efficient and the breakfast is excellent. The room decor is all wrong. Dark colors in small rooms gives a claustrophobic feel. The signage to the rooms is confusing and incomplete and the room numbers, while perh... Read more

Most of my experiences from stays at Scandic Hotels are good but this time it went really wrong. I booked a room a week in advance and payed 2700:-. When I check in it turns out to be a so called cabin in the basement with no window. When book it says nothing about that. There were no possibilities to change. Apart from that the price is usury for that wardrobe-like space there were no remote control to the TV (which was necessary only because there are no buttons on the TV itself, not for the d... The Scandic Grand Central is close to the train station, Gamla Stan, and across the street from the Arlanda Express. Breakfast is included and delicious. The wheelchair accessible room had the perfect height bed, not something we see very often. There is a wheelchair accessible bus stop just up the street from the hotel that takes you to the Vasa Museum and Djurgarden (you could transfer to a tram if you don't want to walk at all)

The room (a family room) was a nice size and very clean and cozy. My parents had a problem with their room and they were moved immediately and upgraded. The best thing was the breakfast! Wow! The Scandic Grand Central has a great location - it is just half a block from the Arlanda Express entrance (make sure you take the Kungsgatan exit which is marked on the platform). An elevator will take you to street level and the Scandic is just across the street. It is walking distance to many restaurants and a shopping district. We had a very nice stay in Stockholm and staying at the Grand C. Even if our window was facing the street it was no problem sleeping. That we prefer a double bed instead of two singlebeds put together is a matter of taste but wish Scandic could get some double beds in their double rooms. The breakfast was great and the staff very friendly and service minded. The gym could be a little bit bigger with a area for self training like pilates or yoga movements.

Check in was straightforward and my room was on the top floor where they have a roof garden bar, this was extremely crowded in high summer and as a result there was noise until well after midnight. The room had two single beds, that's not as comfortable to sleep in as a large double. Very convenient location, opposite of Casino Cosmopol and with a lot of restaurants, shops and a 24h 7Eleven across the street, this is a very good place to spend a few days in Stockholm. Reputedly also visited by non-customers, there's a gym and a sauna included and what seems to be a lively disco/showroom during weekends (open until 01:00). Wifi works well, rooms are stylish and clean and the price is very competitive by Stockholm standards. I will visit again for sure.

Very happy with our stay at this hotel. Friendly staff, modern with nice interior giving you a "feeling of being home". Nice breakfast, great location, nice rooms. Cons: you have to walk through a lot of long corridors to get to you room.

Whoever designed Grand Central by Scandic he or she has definitely stayed at The Ace Hotel. The concept is a rip off with the lively lobby with live performances, a special bar concept as well as a special restaurant concept. Even the design concept is a copycat of the Ace Hotel with the writings on the wall, the ToV on all messages, the consequence use of black and white in the interior design. Although the execution is well done it's not as sharp as the Ace but very friendly and nice place to ... Read more

I stayed here with a friend for a long weekend in January. The location nearby the railway station was absolutely perfect for us and the interior of the hotel is absolutely fabulous. I booked the stay as reward nights so I can't comment on the price level. We had a very big room with two separate beds that could be adjusted for individual comfort. The bathroom was also quite spacey and in general the interior design was really great. Everything was perfectly clean and we enjoyed our stay very mu... Read more

Location is perfect, very close to T-Centralen & buss station. More beautiful city center starts from here and Gamla Stan is 5-10min walk away. Several restaurants everywhere around. Hotel is very good, rooms clean and have space. Breakfast is excellent, although negative side is too tiny breakfast facilities, hard to find free table. Have visited several times and same issue always.

After an early dinner and some bowling we stopped by grand central for drinks. We came there at around 22 so the place had not been filled up yet which was nice! It's a nice bar, mixed crowd, good drinks, not to pricey, but most of all a nice place at that part of town which mostly offers weird, small bars which no one would go to. Haha.

First the good part. Excellent location close the central station. Bought one of their cabin rooms. I have NO problem with small rooms without windows. However. In this room they had placed the light switch behind the pillow in the bed. Every time I moved during the night the lights went on in the room. Waking me up. Came in late, hungry. The receptionist could not explain the F&B options, so she sent me on a trekking mission through rowdy bars and what seemed to be different restaurants. Cou... Read more

Nice, spacey rooms with comfortable beds and a quite nice view of the street. Nothing breath-taking but still nice. Very nice lounge with modern design, spacey yet not loud or noisey which for me is a huge plus. The breakfast buffet is of high standard with fresh vegetables, fruits and a good sortiment of different breads, cheeses etc. although I wished they would serve freshly brewed coffee (they have a machine but it just isn't the same thing). It is adjacent to the Central Train Station of St... Read more

Nice and well organized hotel. As Star member you are treated a bit better then non members. (Newspaper) Rooms very small, but nice and clean. Breakfast very good, but very crowded at time for my breakfast. (7.30)

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in November 2016. The location is perfect - right at the central station, it only took me 5 minutes to get there from the Arlanda airport bus. The main shopping street is also 5 minutes walk away, Gamla Stan (the Old City) is about 15-20 minutes walk away. There are a lot of cafes nearby. The reception staff was very helpful. The lobby area was also very good - a lot of places to sit down, have a rest, charge your laptop / phone / whatever you need. The room was... Read more

Perfect location, close to the Central Station. The lobby is welcoming and the bar and the restaurant look very trendy. Close to other nice places too, which is why we never tried these facilities at the hotel. International atmosphere and great breakfast! I like the interior decoration too. Modern and stylish.

Great welcoming Staff on arrival was an indication that hospitality was going to be spot on following delayed flights from Heathrow. Check in & out were both efficiently smooth and quick. The Junior Suite was a great choice see photos which speak better. I had a couple of Vinyls to play on the vintage stereo player no cassette tapes though. Buffet breakfast was also great. Looking forward to staying longer on next trip and will remember to bring some cassettes.
