It wasalright but we booked a room with two seperate beds.. Both beds were so uncomfortable that we could not get any sleep.. Otherwise the decoration of the room gives you the feeling of your own bedroom.. The breakfast was good, everything was available you would expect from a buffet breakfast.. Location was also good, 10 minutes walk to Gamla Stan ( the old town-where ou may want to spnd most of your time) and 3 minutes to the shopping centre and the shopping street.. Great location. Close to restaurants and shopping. Good morning breakfast including crepes, assortment of hot foods, fruit, cheese and bread. Rooms small and clean but dated and not like the hotel photos. Service was pleasant.

Simple, but good hotel with rich history. The crew is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated close to the central station. The Belgian bar is I believe part of the hotel. In the morning you have a good breakfast in this bar.

Booked this hotel because of its proximity to the train station, but would go back again if that wasn't an issue. Great front desk, with acknowledgement that our two twenty-somethings might not be up in time for the fabulous breakfast served from 6-10 AM. Small room but great lighting and everything you need. Windows that open. Would definitely go back.

Our room was absolutely perfect in every way. It was practically a suite, and included a sitting area with two couches, a desk, a large bed, a bar area with a sink, microwave, and refrigerator. The room was amply illuminated with eight large windows containing blinds between the panes that could be closed. The spacious bath had towel warmers. An iron and ironing board were available in the room, and there was also a separate ironing room in the hotel. An umbrella was in the closet, and mor... Read more

A delayed wedding anniversary celebration was spent in this glorious hotel! It was all amazing from the a few months ago when we made the booking right up to us checking out. The staff are amazing , And nothing was too much . When we arrived ( quite early ) the room they had for us was not ready so they were happy to look after our luggage to allow us to stroll around Stockholm until it was ready. A first point. If you take the express train from the airport, then the exit from the train terminal is almost directly opposite this hotel. The hotel is in a very Swedish building with a very strong Swedish style. A significant point; it has excellent security. To access the rooms, a person has to go past reception. To activate the lifts to get to the upper levels, it is necessary to insert the room key into a slot in the lift, twist and select the floor. What really makes this hotel stand out... Read more

This hotel is literaly 5 mins walk from the Arlanda Express station (from the airport). Staff very friendly/helpful. Room (superior) was on 6th floor and was brilliant. Even with window open, not too much noise from say 2300 - 0600. Added bonus with this hotel is tea/coffee making in all rooms. Buffet breakfast (included) even more than I could eat! Evening menu very good ar reasonable prices for Stockholm. For Scandinavian city centre, it was a reasonable price. Almost all tourist sights & boat... Read more

We stayed in this hotel three nights in June 2016 and found it to be the perfect place to stay for tourists. It also does a good deal of business with people traveling for work. The location can't be beat, right in the heart of the city. The staff was very helpful, allowing us to check in early after we arrived by overnight ferry. They have a substantial breakfast buffet that is sure to please any traveler. The restaurant in the hotel (Belgobaren) serves excellent dinners also.

We extended our cruise stay by one night and chose Freys Hotel. Dropped off our baggege in the morning and checked in later in the day. Great location for touring: HOHO bus nearby, Gamla Stan a 10 minute walk, shopping and shops around the corner. The room was well-equipped, coffee, robes, wi-fi - all the things I wanted. The attached restaurant offered great beer and tasty mussels. The very short walk to the Arlanda Express made this a perfect stay (okay, the rain spoiled it a little).

We booked the room for a two day stay on our multi country tour. We arrived quite early and were surprised they had a room for us. It was a beautiful room on 6th floor overlooking the streets leading/next to train station. It was quite warm so we tried A/C to find out there is none. They did supply a fan. No problem though windows open up for fresh air. This ended up being problematic as during the night, and I mean middle of the night, the unseemly are there having control issues. Loud screamin... The location is great. It's convenient starting point to walk to shopping areas, restaurants, tourist sites, and the central train station. The hotel room is a bit small. Clean. There's a Belgium restaurant and bar. But the hotel is old. You still need a physical key to enter the elevator and rooms, which is an inconvenience especially when there's a long line at the front desk. The room was tidy and spacious (we slept three persons in a bigger room), the interior of the hotel was nice and cosy. Unfortunately, some of the personnel at the front desk were a bit stiff and not so friendly, and the breakfast was nothing extra. Getting good coffee in the morning was important to us, and unfortunately the coffee served at the breakfast was lousy and we had to pay extra to get good coffee.

A cosy hotel. Very convenient for the Arlanda Express. My room was small: OK for one, but a squash for two. However, it had a table and comfortable chair, and plenty of power sockets. An awesome free breakfast is provided. The room was hot and I couldn't find any air conditioning control; it is very noisy with the window open. Only generic soap dispensers, no bespoke shampoo or conditioner, no face flannels.

First of all, Freys is very conveniently located near the central train station of Stockholm. It's 5 minutes walk, accross the street, after you arrive with Arlanda Express from the airport. Although so central, it is very quiet. The street where the hotel is located is actually a "dead-end" street, so there isn't any traffic. Even though the hotel's Belgian cuisine restaurant is popular, there is no noise pollution from it. The hotel is rather small and cosy but actually very comfortable, war... Read more

I booked the Freys Hotel in Bryggatan online, it had nice photos and good description on the website. But I was very disappointed. I am traveling alone and the location near the central station sounds good, but it is relatively deserted after dark and doesn't feel very safe.
