It wasalright but we booked a room with two seperate beds.. Both beds were so uncomfortable that we could not get any sleep.. Otherwise the decoration of the room gives you the feeling of your own bedroom.. The breakfast was good, everything was available you would expect from a buffet breakfast.. Location was also good, 10 minutes walk to Gamla Stan ( the old town-where ou may want to spnd most of your time) and 3 minutes to the shopping centre and the shopping street.. Booked this hotel because of its proximity to the train station, but would go back again if that wasn't an issue. Great front desk, with acknowledgement that our two twenty-somethings might not be up in time for the fabulous breakfast served from 6-10 AM. Small room but great lighting and everything you need. Windows that open. Would definitely go back.

A first point. If you take the express train from the airport, then the exit from the train terminal is almost directly opposite this hotel. The hotel is in a very Swedish building with a very strong Swedish style. A significant point; it has excellent security. To access the rooms, a person has to go past reception. To activate the lifts to get to the upper levels, it is necessary to insert the room key into a slot in the lift, twist and select the floor. What really makes this hotel stand out... Read more

We stayed in this hotel three nights in June 2016 and found it to be the perfect place to stay for tourists. It also does a good deal of business with people traveling for work. The location can't be beat, right in the heart of the city. The staff was very helpful, allowing us to check in early after we arrived by overnight ferry. They have a substantial breakfast buffet that is sure to please any traveler. The restaurant in the hotel (Belgobaren) serves excellent dinners also.

We extended our cruise stay by one night and chose Freys Hotel. Dropped off our baggege in the morning and checked in later in the day. Great location for touring: HOHO bus nearby, Gamla Stan a 10 minute walk, shopping and shops around the corner. The room was well-equipped, coffee, robes, wi-fi - all the things I wanted. The attached restaurant offered great beer and tasty mussels. The very short walk to the Arlanda Express made this a perfect stay (okay, the rain spoiled it a little).

The location is great. It's convenient starting point to walk to shopping areas, restaurants, tourist sites, and the central train station. The hotel room is a bit small. Clean. There's a Belgium restaurant and bar. But the hotel is old. A cosy hotel. Very convenient for the Arlanda Express. My room was small: OK for one, but a squash for two. However, it had a table and comfortable chair, and plenty of power sockets. On a summer trip to Stockholm when prices at even basic Radisson SAS were off the charts, we took a chance on Frey‚??s Hotel. It‚??s not in my favorite part of town ‚?? hard by the central train station ‚?? but it was convenient to just about everything (Gamla Stam was a half hour walk away, everything else seemed much closer). It‚??s a three star ‚?? nice service at the desk, reasonably comfortable (bathroom towels were a bit stingy and worn) but it was a good stop for that first day in town af... Read more

We spent two nights here and found it an OK hotel at an OK price. It's right in the center of town and only a short walk from the railway station and the airport bus. The Metro, too, is quite close. Our room was small and clean, and since it was facing a courtyard, it was also quiet, even with the windows open overnight. The beds were quite good, and the shower was wonderful! There was no closet or cupboard, just a rack to hang clothes on -- but there was a refrigerator, which we found very... Read more

The hotel's location is a major plus; you can see it from the Arlanda Express terminal at Stockholm Central station, has excellent links to the local metro, and many places of interest such as Gamla Stan / Old Town can be reached easily on foot. The hotel itself is very nice. Our room was fairly small, but clean, quiet and very comfy. Would be happy to stay here again.

The Frey Hotel is very close to the main train station. From the Airport to the main train station it takes you approximately 20 minutes. The breakfast is very good and you find everthing you like. The coffee is just OK. The rooms are small, but good and nice. Free Wifi ist available. The Sauna is not always working, so you have to announce your plannings, it takes +/- 1h for upheating, ... The friendliness of the reception staff is just OK.

Freys is quirky. Freys is a little off-beat. And Freys has brilliant customer service. But somehow this all does not really quite come together. The decor of the hotel has either been deliberately and ironically designed from the 60's or is actually from the 60's, we couldn't figure it out. Rooms follow the same pattern, and ours (and others) have ceramic horse heads hung on the walls. This is calling upon the building's history as a horse carriage maker/business in the past, but is still more ... Read more

Upon arrival to the main train station we exited on to the street and were thrilled to see this hotel immediately across the street. Very nice building, we had a very well appointed, large room on the 6th floor with a view down the street past the old Post Office Building. . Location is within walking distance to sights and to various transportation links. Front desk small, and not particularly inviting to us. Specific questions were answered at a minimum- maybe they were used to more seasoned t... Read more

The Freys Hotel is a very convenient, reasonably priced hotel in the central Norrmalm area. Linking the lengthly Drottinggatan shopping street and the business and restaurant packed Vasgatan it is ideal for getting about. Indeed the Arlanda airport Express and Central Station are minutes away. The hotel rooms are quirky and eccentrically designed, the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms spotless. Breakfast is a wide buffet selection based in the adjoining Belgium restaurant. It was very busy ... Read more

A very nice hotel just across the street from the Arlanda Express terminal. Friendly staff that help with your city tour. A resturant near the lobby with space for hungry morning guests. So much to choose from on the breakfast menu.

Our arrival to Freys Hotel was very easy walking from the bus station, literally a 5 minute walk. The hotel could not have been in a better location within distance of a shopping district and plenty of food options. We were given our key upon checking in which had the keyring shaped like a loveheart and we were on the 7th floor, the top floor of the hotel. Entering our room we were greeted by two towel swans kissing in response to our notifying the hotel that we were celebrating our 15th wedding... Read more

We had a great stay at Freys Hotel! The staff was helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was always delicious. We were happy to realize the hotel was next to central station and the Arlanda Airport Express, which made getting around very easy. It seemed as though we were walking distance to almost everything too! We were very lucky to have chosen Freys and would recommend them to anyone.

Comfortable, clean, friendly and a cosy yet cool feeling to it, this rather small familyowned hotel is perfectly located next to Stockholm's Centralstation. Shopping areas as well as most of Stockholm's wellknown sites lies within walking distance. We stayed in a quite spacious "family-room" on the seventh floor. Doublebed, bedsofa for one and one extra bed, something that isn't always easily found. Aircondition worked great and we didn't experience any noise at all from the corridor or other ro... Read more

The room interior is classy as how the pictures has shown. Staff are friendly and easy going. The restaurant is very cozy one, where we enjoyed our breakfast time. Just 1 min walk from Airport Express Station is super convenient for those who fly to Arlanda Airport!

Travelled from Arlanda airport on the express train and the hotel is about 50 yards away from the station - very easy to find . Friendly efficient staff on reception . Room a little dated and for some reason had a large plaster horses head mounted on the bedroom wall ( Godfather fans take note !!) but comfy bed and quiet at night . Shower cubicle and bathroom very small . Nice breakfast with plenty of choice . Easy check out

Freys was my last hope as I walked the streets after a horrid flight much delayed from Germany. All they had was a single. I accepted. Fearful. The room was small but perfectly fitted out. Clean, more like a bedroom than a hotel room. Clean and crisp..small but well designed. Breakfast was self serve and cheery. Great selection. Beware the bagroom- it gets very full. Great location.super friendly staff. Single Room perfect.

I visit Stockholm two or three times a year on business, but seem always to end up in a different hotel, as my reviews on Trip Advisor will show. This is because clients tend to book me into their favourite hotel. This time I ended up at one that will be my 'regular' hotel in what is one of my favourite European cities. Freys hotel is about 5 minutes across the road from the Arlanda Express platforms. You can't miss it as there is a large illuminated sign across the front (actually the side) o... Read more

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, good breakfast and perfect location. Considering the location I think the price was reasonable. The room had character, in a good way. The only negative things I have to say are that it could be a bit noisy on my floor and that the restaurant was very crowded during breakfast.

Stayed here with two couples, the location is great, decor is good and the breakfast is decent. The staff are very friendly and the wifi is pretty decent. Only bad points are that when we booked we were told it was a twin which was fine but actually when we got there it was a single with a sofa bed. The sofa bed was incredibly hard! Would of been better to just have two single beds. Also there was no shower cap, that would of been helpful as the bathroom is a wet room.

My boyfriend and I spend here a weekend. We liked very much the look of the hotel, the hospitality of stuff (they allowed us to print a confirmation we needed for the continuation of our travel for free), the location of the hotel (very central, just across the central station) and the breakfast (great variety of food and drinks, also gluten-free bread and soya milk). The only thing we could object is the insufficient heating in our room. We mentioned that at the reception and we got a small ... Read more

When u alight the Arlanda Express, just follow the crowd's direction n walk until u see a road. The hotel is just opposite. So it's just a 3 mins walk from the station. The frontdesk personnels are all so friendly n helpful. Breakfast was wholesome n delicious. The room was meticulously tidied every morning. Will definitely stay at Freys when back in Stockholm.
