I stayed here with my girlfriend for 6 nights in May 2016. We loved this resort. The location is the best part. Every villa has a waterfront view of Simpson Bay, which is beautiful. The resort has many restaurants on property, and is walking distance to countless other restaurants on the main road. The pool for the villas is very big with a swim up pool bar, and you can jump in the bay and swim when you feel like it. Also there's an AMAZING beach on the southern side of the island, which has cle... Read more

This hotel was everything I wanted and needed. The location was great with lot of good resturants close to hotel. The two bedroom suite with an oceanview was great, two bathrooms and kitchen with great decor. With free internet.

Two friends and I just got back from an amazing trip to Sint Maarten. We got a phenomenal price at the Villas because the time of year was slightly off season. First the good: our room was on the fourth floor with amazing views of the water. We were in the building between the pool and beach. The perfect location. We had both a and b sides since we wanted two bedrooms. The suite was huge and was more than enough space for the three of us. The room easily could have slept 8-10 people. We ate two ... Read more

My husband and I stood on the third floor with a ocean view. I was very happy to have a balcony with this beautiful view. The only thing I had a problem with was, they need more people at the front desk. Checking in was a long wait. But other than that, I had an amazing time. The Aqua Marina is not far to plan any boat trip. The Hollywood Casino is right across the street, very convenient. For breakfast we ate at Alexander's, very reasonable in price and friendly people.

We stayed in a studio on the 4th floor. Great view of all the ships!! Would love to go back one day, but, the next time I would definitely get a one bedroom instead of a studio. Just a little more room I think would be better. Our vacation started out a little rocky when we checked in. The young women behind the desk were not friendly at all, but with Jonathon, every thing turned completely around!! He should be recognized by your organization, he is a GREAT ASSET to the hotel!! He went way out ... Read more

Our arrival and greeting at this hotel was pleasant, quick, and organized. The back of our room opened right in front of the pool which we thought was nice and convenient. The only problem was the mosquitos. Every day/night a host of mosquitos would migrate into the room through the front door due to the humidity in the hallways. We had to spray ourselves down just to go to sleep and cover our heads because they would buzz around our heads at night too. As i know there are alot of mosquitos in... Read more

I have visited this hotel 2 times and I really do like it. My whole family went with me the 2nd time and they loved it just as well. The staff is very helpful and very polite. The rooms are great. We had a one bedroom suite and it was spacious. The thing I like the most about the hotel is it is very clean. Our view faced the Bay and it was wonderful sitting on the terrace staring out onto the ships. I wish that is was located directly on the beach but you can't have it all. The beach was... Read more

This was our first visit to St. Marten. Stayed in a 2 bedroom suite that was very spacious with beautiful views of the bay. Like others have mentioned, check-in took some time. When we got to the room we were blown away by the view of the bay and all of the boats. We loved sitting out on the balcony watching the mega yachts going into and out of the marina and beautiful sunsets. Rooms were very clean, plenty of towles and cleaned every day. Restaurants are within walking distance and all very ... Read more

We booked through Royal Resorts-Miami-Antonio who we have been acquainted by prior bookings. A villa suite with 1 bedroom, kitchen and living room during low season. Awesome and roomy. Breakfasts at Bon Appetit were included and the wait staff was helpful as they got to know our preferences. Dinner at Lee's was a staple and great as usual! IZI was a new find which was phenomenal. We enjoyed the beach daily as well as the beach bar with John, Jason, front desk and Diego, our concierge were notabl... Read more

One could be very critical on this resort for both positive and not so positive aspects. It feels that they are trying there best to polish things up and that there is a phase of improvements in place that will take while to materialize. The rooms overlooking the bay are very nice located, though no beach in front....some out dated furniture and a too soft of a mattress and pillows...small TV and cable that was out of order half of the time. Amenities in the resort are somewhat limited, which m... Read more

My wife and I went for our annual vacation. Pros: I saw a small sea turtle from my balcony every morning. That is all Cons: Rude housekeeping staff Room wasn't clean No shuttle to anywhere-at least by what resort staff told us Just another example of why to only go to St. Martin on a cruise stop. An extremely disappointing experience, Royal Resorts missed the mark on this one.

This is a very large resort and the 1 bedroom villa on the 5th floor overlooking the pool bar where we spent the weekend is the way to go. The layout is great, very spacious and kept up very nicely. Since we were only there for the weekend, we didn't expect maid service, but late Saturday afternoon a housekeeping member rang the bell and asked if she could freshen up. We politely declined. We ordered Thai from Avantika on Saturday night and ate on the dining table outside. The porch is very larg... Read more

Pros 1. The room we were given was clean and newly renovated, beds were comfortable 2. Housekeeping staff was polite and helpful and did a good job cleaning 3. A/C worked well 4. Wireless worked well 5. Free parking 6. The bartender, Sherman in the Roof Top bar. Cons 1. Misleading Booking. We booked "Ocean Front" ($300 more than Simpson Bay View) Our room was "Simpson Bay View". Ocean Front units were closed for Renovation, no mention of that when we booked. This is our second time visiting this hotel. We stayed in the main building in a 1 bedroom suite. The view was amazing from the room. The king size bed is very comfortable and it's a big suite. Two of the friends slept on the Murphy beds and they said they were comfortable. The room was cleaned everyday. The kitchen is fully equipped if you feel the need to cook. There are several buildings & pool that were under construction. They are renovating beachfront rooms. The pool by the main building i... Read more

We chose Simpson Bay because the Villas offered plenty of space and privacy for my husband and I with our two sons, ages 21 and 23. By reserving both the A and B side of a Villa, everyone had their own bathrooms, beds and balcony. The smaller area even had a butler's pantry with small fridge, microwave, dishes and sink. While we could have all shared one side which had a separate king bedroom/bath as well as two Murphy beds in the living area, it was very nice for everyone to be able to keep ... Read more

Spent a week in the villas. This was second stay in the property. Was there 2 years ago. The overall condition of the property is good, although it has gone down a little in two years. The preventive maintenance and overall cleaning of the rooms is not the same. As a general observation, less attention is given to the details in the rooms. For example, upon arrival there was only 1 wash cloth, two hand towels, and two full size towels. Since housekeeping is not daily, a mandatory minimum amount... Read more

We have stayed at this resort quite a few times. The resort is very clean and the staff is friendly. There is a casino on site and some great restaurants. Of course this time of year its quite dead so if your are looking for action don't go in September. If you enjoy the sun and the beach then this is a beautiful place to stay. The benefit of coming at this time is the price. It was a great value. We did have one problem one day we had no hot water due to a break in the line. While this ... Read more

We had a two bedroom villa. The room safes were not working and it took them two days yo respond. The phone was rarely answered. When we asked about an event being held at the property no one had the answer. Getting questions answered was a nightmare. However, for them the big push is selling time share units. Our villa was not very clean. We had to wash the glasses and dishes. They were dirty. We threw out the ice not knowing how long it was in the freezer. Amenities and towels were not fully... Read more

We purchased a timeshare here in April, but this week was our first visit. Checkin was smooth and simple, and we were given a two-bedroom villa overlooking the pool and the ocean. The Concierge (PG - pronounced peegee) was amazing! She made us feel welcome and was always there to help with anything we needed. Housekeeping is great - the rooms are immaculate, and it's not a hassle to replace towels daily if needed. The kitchen was great - cooking for six daily was like being at home! Th... Read more
