This is our second time here, and I am already going to book for this year. Trust me, I am a perfectionist, when it come to views. This is a million dollar view for a great price. Mike and his wife are so friendly. I would not even look to book somewhere else.

The best island vacation we've ever had. Rooms are quite literally steps from the water, with barely a patio and extremely comfortable lounge chairs between your bed and the bay. Feels more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. Mike (one of the owners) is incredibly warm and friendly - you feel right at home from the moment you meet him - and of course he is extremely knowledgeable about the area. He provided us terrific restaurant and activity recommendations, and even made reservation... Read more

This hotel is right on the beach! You walk out of your door and your feet are in the sand! There are chairs for laying out on the beach. The couple who run it are extremely friendly. They upgraded my room from a Queen to a King just to be nice! The bedrooms have a tv, bathroom, and full kitchen. It's a short walk to the grocery store and bars. The owner also helped with getting a taxi back to the airport.

My husband and sister and I stayed at this charming hotel for a week. This was our first trip to the island and was surprised with how things looked. The area looks pretty run down and you are close to one of many gentlemen clubs. From what I was told they are still recovering from a hurricane a few years ago and that it is much better than it used to be. First off we were greeted by Mike right away once we walked into the mini courtyard. Right away Mike was very helpful and told us where to g... Read more

Lovely rooms for the price. The beach in front is the best reason to go there as it is absolutely fantastic. There are chairs, umbrellas, and all the extras you need to enjoy your time there. You could stay for hours just admiring the great looking sea in your front yard.

This was our 4th time there. I donâ??t think I want to go any other place. Every time I try something new I am disappointed because The Azure spoiled it for any other place. We stayed in 4 different rooms, including the beach Suite, the Saba Suite and The Tikki room. This time we stayed in the Tropical Suite and loved it. I love being in the beach view rooms but in the Garden, you can walk a few steps and still have the view. I love having the big refrigerator and stove. We went shopping at the... Read more

We were here for 10 days and had a nice time. It's right on a great beach, fun to people and boat watch. Close to stores, Catholic Church, airport and places to eat. The staff were excellent, they always took time to talk or answer questions.

I stayed in a mini suite on the beach side of the hotel. The room was perfect, big cozy bed small kitchen with all the essential utensils for preparing meals. Front door was on a beach front patio complete with patio table and chairs, woke up and drank my coffee looking out at the ocean.

The rooms were clean, with fresh linens daily. We felt that we should explore other areas of St. Maarten and we found that we just loved the sun and surf at our own little slice of paradise! We were able to make our own breakfast or walk a block and a half to the french bakery for a lovely breakfast or lunch.

This was our 2nd time now staying here at the Azure, it felt like home the first time and felt like home the 2nd time! It was our honeymoon this time around and we couldn't think of a better place to spend it at. It's a beautiful establishment with a lot of character and Mike the owner is a wonderful guy that won't hesitate to give you the best recommendations for the island and he is always there to help with any questions! So relaxing! Will be returning as soon as possible. Oh and did I mention we were graced with the Adastra Trimaran yacht in the bay for 3 days. Google the Adastra it's gorgeous! Lastly breakfast is a short walk around the corner to the Atlantico bakery. Best baguettes this side of Paris. Love the crepes and pastries too!

We decided to stay at the Azure Hotel on a whim and I'm glad we did! Located right on the Simpson Bay beach with plenty of bars, excellent restaurants, and things to do within walking distance! Every morning we would walk down the beach to a great little French beach restaurant and bar called Karakter. Mike is an excellent resource for everything on the island and was incredibly friendly! The rooms were very nice and clean (cleaned daily). I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's ... Read more

We just got back from another great week at The Azure. I probably cannot say anything that has not already been said, but I must add that there is no other place I would rather stay. Almost everyone there this week had stayed before. We hung out in the afternoons/evenings as there is a feeling of home at The Azure. Michael is a wonderful host. He has a suggestion for everything and even set up a last minute beach massage with me. We will be back next year. I highly recommend this hotel, a... Read more

The Azure is the perfect place for how we like to travel - a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, and no unnecessary frills (why spend more for a "resort"?) - with the added bonuses of personal service and being mere steps from the beach. We stayed at The Azure for two weeks to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. We actually stayed in two different rooms, the Caribbean and Saba rooms. The Saba room was not available for our full stay, but it is not uncommon to switch rooms in this lovely 8 r... Read more

This is a small hotel ON THE BEACH. You don't need flip-flops or cover ups to go to the beach, because you just have to walk a couple of steps to get there. The room where we stayed had everything we needed. This is not a luxury place with marble and golden faucets, but it's a very clean place with all you need. They provide beach towels, umbrellas and beach chairs for free. A good deal . The owners are very nice, Michael ( the owner ) is very pleasant and always ready to take care immediately of ... Read more

I heard about the Azure from someone who had been there before and was intrigued. We booked 2 non ocean front suites for 5 days this past week. The website is dead accurate when it comes to the description of the hotel. I booked through the owner Michael and he could not have been more accomidating and understanding. He even booked our Rhino tour and paid the deposit for us until I reimbursed him on our arrival as well as booking a van for our island tour. Michael met us in person upon our arriv... Read more

If you want room service, noise and a pool go to a resort. If you want a perfect beach, mostly peace and quiet, great people and close enough to restaurant's and activities this place is for you!!!! Spotless rooms and great beach area with chairs and umbrellas makes for a very low key and relaxing vacation!!!! I'd definitely recommend the beachside rooms but the whole hotel is nice and situated perfectly on Simpson Bay. I'll be back again!!!!

Stayed here a couple years ago and had a GREAT experience. Its a short walk (on the beach) to one of the coolest bars I have ever been to (Karakter). The beach is gorgeous, and the owners were great hosts! Looking forward to going back some day.

We stayed at this hotel from July 12-18 and couldn't be more satisfied with the choice we made. The hosts are very friendly and helpful people and are always around if you need anything. This place is located right on the beach, and it is within walking distance or a very quick drive to restaurants and convenience stores. The rooms are comfortable and had everything we needed. This place was great! It was right on the beach, the room was big, and we were in walking distance from a bunch of restaurants. There were plenty of reclining chairs and tables set up on the beach which was convenient. Mike was also very helpful and accommodating, especially after we had to change our reservations around last minute because of flight delays. I would definitely come back again!

We basically took over this hotel with a group of friends in June 2016. Some had been before, but most had not. This quaint hotel is located right on the most quiet beach around. I felt like it was our own private place. My beachfront room was spacious enough, I didn't come to this paradise to stay in my room. The room was clean; the king bed was comfy; towels were provided for both bath and beach; the kitchenette was just right. We spent a lot of time on the outdoor patio and on the beach... Read more

The Azure is a hidden jewel on the wonderful island of St. Maartin. A very small hidden boutique situated on one of the best beaches on the island and Caribbean. Small enough to have contact with the owner at almost anytime. You get a true Caribbean experience without being surrounded by shops, busy streets, crowded beaches etc. If you are looking for a real place to relax and just take in the sun, sound of the surf and essentially have your own private beach, this is the place.

The motel is right on the water. It's small but that works in it's favor. The furnishings were more than what we actually needed. The owners made us feel so comfortable. They checked on us each day. No matter what we wanted to do he had a suggestion. When we get ready to go back we will definitely go to Azure.
