What the Marquis might lack in "luxury" is made up for in the friendly welcome and great service. The rooms are spacious and have a lovely balcony overlooking the water. A local, 'caribe' vibe, tile floors, wood beams, ceiling fans, coffee maker and fridge in the room - very comfortable. Very quiet, a small but very nice pool and a patio for breakfast. We opted for room service for dinner which boasts an extensive menu from a local restaurant and we ate on our balcony - so nice! Food was s... Read more

We stayed here for 5 nights and if we ever come back to St Martin we will stay here again. The hotel is not a part of a big chain and only has 17 rooms. The views from the room are fantastic since it is on a small hill. The morning coffee from the balcony is worth a $100 just for the view. The rooms were nice and clean. The receptionists Emma and Christina were very kind with their recommendations on places to go. We had two boys aged 6 and 2 with us. You could literally stay in the hotel premis... Read more

Wonderful views from the best rooms. Convenient location to enjoy Anse Marcel Beach, Orient Beach and Gran Case. Staff very helpful and friendly. Willing to shuttle down to the beach. The Anse Marcel beach is one of the nicest beach areas on the island. Looks to have been constructed for the winter of 2015. It's a tucked away oasis. As the view depicts, it's a steep drive in and out. Best for the adventurist that has rented a quality vehicle with adequate breaks. Highly recommended for the... Read more

This was the second stay in 6 months for my wife and I and it was like coming home. Moira the Marquis manager welcomed us like old friends and the only thing changed is three fresh new Swiss interns who were fabulous. Really nothing is too much trouble from the simple breakfast, coffee and rolls, sitting on the room deck looking down 600feet to the Anse Marcel beach resort enjoying wine from the local store or the Marquis fridge. The girls are always avaialble to run you down to the beach or the... Read more

Lovely place. Moira is the perfect host. The gentleman from the reception is very nice and so polite. The 3 young interns from Switzerland are a big plus. One of them came to pick us up from the beach when there was a huge storm. Everyone is unbelievably nice and helpful. The view can't be better. The rooms are big and clean. It does feel like more than a hotel. We will definitely try to go back. Hope wouldn't rain that much. Can you believe they gave us all the sugar from the kitchen when we... Read more

My husband and I have been coming to the Marquis for over 15 years. Yes, each room has spectacular views of Anse Marcel, yes, the rooms especially Les Saintes are exceptional, yes, the laid back feel makes you so relaxed, yes, access to the gym at Le Privilege is an incredible way to start your morning, yes, having breakfast on your patio overlooking the azure sea takes your breath away . However, the true essence of why the Marquis is such an amazing, welcoming place is the staff. The Manager... Read more

Having read the reviews and receiving a great deal to visit the Marquis Boutique Hotel my husband and I decided that we would stay there on our visit to St. Martin. My communication with Moira throughout my booking was above par. Moira was very responsive and answered any and all questions that I had to offer. Upon arrival Moira was away on vacation and we were left to the care of Cecilia, an intern from Switzerland. She was very nice and was as helpful as she could be especially considering she... First, I really liked the staff, especially Renaud, who was fascinating to talk to. But everyone was really nice. My French is limited, but we got along, usually there is someone around for the English speakers, so don't be scared by the French side. Anse Marcel is about as far north as you can go. You pass cows getting here. So if you want to be in the center of things, this is not the way to go. It is about 10 minutes to Grand Case, with plenty of restaurants. Go to the local "LOLOS" in...
