"As with everyone else we did not have a view of the sea, just the parking lot. I am sure the issue is that we booked through an outside source so we get the less than premium rooms because of the rates we get. Regardless the room was large and very nice. The AC was either on or off, the thermostat did not seem to work. So we were either so cold you could not stand it or hot, that said we managed it well enough. The beach is just a few steps from our room so that made up for the view. The food was pretty good but as most resorts it was a bit pricey. We would go back with that said."

"The Flamingo Beach resort was nice and clean, we thought our 1 bedroom suite was nice on the inside but we had a ground floor room that faced a chain link fence and the back of another building - we couldn't really even see the sky. Our room was in building 3. This did upset us as, when we checked in, we were told we were being 'upgraded to a 1 bedroom' from our studio, and right then I knew we were getting screwed. The staff was friendly but not overly helpful, and the resort seemed full of retired people - not many in our age group (30-35). Taxi's are way overpriced but the buses go about anywhere and are $1.50. Next to the resort there is a few good restaurants, we ate at Bon Appetite (good) and The Green House (great). There's also the Red Piano Bar which had a great musician (Susan Erwin) and they make great martini's. Other than these places, it's a bit of a walk to get out to the main road but it didn't bother us too much. The beach there is pretty small but nice, and sunsets are great from the resort. Overall, I would not go back because of our view and the fact that there were very few people around that were in our age group."

"Great location and beautiful views and beaches. Disappointed with my room. Took 2 days to fix our safe. The glass patio door did not lock. The screen door kept falling off its track. We booked 4 months in advance and requested a water view. Instead we got a view of the parking lot and the garbage dumpster. They only cleaned once during a one week stay and then when we asked for broom they didn't even supply a dust pan to pick up the piles of sand. They recommended we keep a bucket of water outside the door and rince our feet before entering the room. No joke. For the money we spent, the room should be cleaned a few times a week. Forget the bucket of water. Overall I would be looking for another resort."

"Had a wonderful stay. The villa was terrific. Right on the water and a few steps from the beach. The staff from the check in till the departure were all so welcoming and friendly. The resort was very clean, quiet and all were friendly. If you had questions they were answered immediately. The grounds were beautiful as well. Plenty of seating around the pool as well as the beach. The resort is close to everything in Simpson Bay."
