Thought i would write a review on our friends Helen and Ians wedding at Rex St Lucian October 24th 2015. First let me say as we have all been to hotel a lot of times i with the help of Doreen Rex St Lucians wedding advisor did it all by email ,Doreen is the best and every thing was perfect from start to finish. It was the best there was the bride and groom my Husband was bestman i was matron of honor then we had our friends son Darnel as paigeboy Ginny and Shirley Ann as little bridesmaids Jules... The best experience we have ever had at a hotel, hands down! My husband and I came here for the last three nights of our honeymoon, and the staff could not have been more friendly. They put us up in one of the nicest rooms overlooking the water for n additional charge, served us champagne when we arrived, and the best part was we didn't have a reservation and they accommodated us. Loved our stay. We will absolutely be back!

Whilst an all-inclusive hotel, the choice of drinks was disappointing - we don't all want to drink rum punch! Whilst there was a variety of food on offer, there was too much "American" and not enough West Indian. I don't go to the Caribbean to eat pancakes for breakfast every day! The Chinese restaurant had very nice surroundings, but the food again was just average (in fact quite salty), and the choice limited. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although we did suffer from a visitation of... Read more

I think its the friendly staff and family atmosphere at rex that keeps me going back.. The rooms are always well kept and the meals are delightful. Its close proximity to the rodney bay shopping centre is also an added bonus. So what are you waiting on Book your stay today!!

To start off, the staff was great! always very polite and helpful. No request was ever too much. They went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible. We had the deluxe suite with a beach view, which meant that we could see the sunset from our own balcony. The beach is easily accessed from the hotel grounds and there is a beautiful swimming pool for those who would rather lounge by the pool. Minor point: the hotel is old. Even though it is well maintained there were some instances... Read more

the hotel is in desperate need of a face lift, old paint , broken electrical outlets ,damaged tiles and concrete thru out the resort, damaged ripped umbrellas, around the pool, garbage scattered around in view of guest. For a all inclusive I would not expect to have to pay locals 70.00 to use a umbrella on the beach for the week .the place must run on a shoe string budget as far a maintenances goes the management obviously does not care ............... I will not be returning to the St Lucian h... Read more

Visited this Hotel in May 2016 for a 2 week stay. Was it value for money, absolutely and would we go again, without question. This is a 3 star Hotel with a 5 star location. The St Lucian has a Caribbean charm and character which made it feel very relaxed. The staff work hard and we found them to be very friendly and efficient, even when some of them faced up to a few very rude and ignorant British guests who had left there manners at home and packed attitude instead. The food was more than adequate a... Read more

Called here for a drink only to watch the sunset. We had the rum punches of course and watched the sun dissappear over the sea absolutely amazing well worth doing. We took the camera and got some wonderful photos. I think this would be a good hotel to stay at.

We stayed at the St. Lucian for 3 nights - after staying in Soufriere area for the first half of our trip. We stayed in room 403 (last building to the left of the hotel). It has a king size bed, electronic safe, 80s-area-old-TV, 70s-area-old-hair dryer. The AC was great though! Also loved that we could just open the door to the "garden" and the beach was right there - maybe 10 steps away! This hotel has so much potential because of its great location! It's right on the beach. All the stores are... Read more

So, let's start with the obvious... As many of the previous reviews have mentioned, the St. Lucian needs to be renovated. It needs some repairs and paint and just a general refresh. But, it's NOT unacceptable! We stayed in room 428 on the 2nd floor. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Nothing fancy about the room... but it was a good clean room with air conditioning and several TV channels should you catch a rainy day and need to stay inside. We NEVER experienced a "sewage" smel... Read more

We stayed at Rodney bay for a few nights. I would not hurry back there as there are as many negatives as positives. The general area is not very well kept , the Hotels and compounds are really nice. There is a significant amount of music blaring from the town and there are loiterers everywhere. I expected a lot more from a Carribean island. I found it all a bit sad. The locals own very little of the tourist properties and cars are constantly pulling up shouting taxi when its obvious that one is ... Read more

So, i chose this resort to help in the celebration of my significant other's birthday. We had overnight at a guest house the night before and quite frankly we were more satisfied with the level of service which was offered there as opposed to this resort regardless of it's all inclusive nature. The staff are very friendly and welcoming at Rex, heart warming smiles with accurate information about the ins and outs of the hotel. My girlfriend and I chose to stay at St. Lucian by Rex in celebration of my birthday. As we had stayed at Royal by Rex in September 2015, I was really hoping this place would be kind of similar. Our bellhop, Shabba was great. The staff were very friendly. The pancakes at breakfast were delicious but the room, sigh. Must have been one of the scariest showers i've ever taken. The bathroom was stinky. The floors were uncomfortable to walk on (they should atleast provide bedroom slippers in the room... Read more

We stayed here for 10 nights to celebrate our anniversary through Virgin. Before leaving I emailed Greta William at the hotel with some requests which she dealt with magnificently and this echoed on with all the staff when we got there. We had room 383 which overlooked the garden and the beach, a wonderful view every morning to wake up to. Also there was slat windows next to the sliding doors (no problem opening ours) which allowed you to hear the small waves-very soothing. There was a good show... Read more

Don't waste your time or money this place is terrible in all aspects. Not a joke. The pictures look good but in person they have done zero upkeep in years. Their resort next door is much better. This place has now right being open. The staffs rude. The restaurant is open very limited hours the all inclusive does not even include water. The beds are like 100 year old mattresses with springs poking out. Security watches you like you've done something wrong. The bell boys were nice. Front desk staf... Read more

We stayed at the St Lucian Rex for 10 days at the end of June 2016. The hotel is right on the beach and the view of Coconut Palms and anchored Yatchs on a sparkling sea was fabulous. Although rooms are a bit tired, lovely helpful staff and fab location makes up for it. Sea can be a bit rough at times with spectacular waves but there is always a calm spot at the end of the beach for swimming. Food is good with plenty of choice and can get a bit busy at peak times, but a relaxed approach ie. go for your meal a bit later than the crowd - after all there is always plenty to eat at an all inclusive resort. We arrived and it was instantly clear that this was not a 4-5 star resort. The lobby needs some love and the rooms were the same. The rooms were clean but are in dire need of either a professional tradesman or just more money to complete the work. It's a quiet resort with a few included activities. The kayaks that were free, when asked for "take on water and you don't want them" then we were pressured into paying for the lessons for the mini sail boats that were also free, but the lessons were $... My fiance and I spent 8 days at the Saint Lucian by Rex Resort. First, I'd like to point out that this is one of THREE resorts owned by the same company, each adjacent to Rex, which is in the middle. There's also the St. Lucian Royal and the Papillon, and each of these appears nicer than the Rex; we were told the other two have been extensively renovated after the hurricane, and the Rex is next on the list. As another review pointed out, the lobby has seen better days (but it's presentable). ... Read more
