"My husband and I stayed at Morgan Bay in November for 9 days and can't wait to go back! We were a little hesitant after reading other reviews, but were very happy that we chose this resort.
We had a private transfer, thanks! Who was very informative and made the extra cost well worth it! It was like having a private tour of the island on the 1 hour plus drive to the resort!
Check in was a breeze, greeted with rum punch and a smile,and were taken to our room right away.Our room was very nice,ocean front with a beautiful view!
The food was very good, never had a problem getting a reservation!
Joy's cruise is a must to see the island, he's by the water sports-what a great tour! He definitely made the trip!
The beach is small, yes the first few feet of the water is clouded by sand,but clear after that. Pool areas were very clean and well maintained.
We are very happy we chose Morgan Bay and wouldn't hesitate to go back! Next time we would book a 1 bedroom suite on the hillside, where yes ,you can get room service and have a romantic dinner on the balcony!

"I was impressed till I asked a guy at reception desk to call a driver to give my kids an i a ride up the hill to our room because it was raining and the IDIOT
(yes I said it) told me wait till the rain let out; I was dumbfounded I was like the whole reason for asking this is because of the rain if it was not raining i would not ask you this, he was more into his blackberry then helping.. I was impressed with the buffet staff and other staff i encountered. I loved my room it was lovely and neat. I did not like the fact they said you couldn't have guest in your room and I was like what is the point of me purchasing a room with a living room for so much money? I would not go here again they still have a long way to go and they dont do room service and when I am on vacation its not everyday i want to leave my room also its false advertisement on their part for stating they do give room service... Also the fact which I paid so much money and I must make reservations for dinner is absurd they should have a head count of their guests so they can know how to manage..."

"I found my room to be GREAT! The staff were very nice except for one but I wouldn't let that spoil my fun. I did not like the fact that they do not do room service and have these huge hills for people to walk up to their rooms instead of having the carts at hand. I also was not pleased with the fact one MUST make a reservation to eat at the restaurants only one you dont have to and thats a 'ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET' which is first come first get best food. I mean if I am paying all this money for ALL INCLUSIVE I expect it to be so. The place is nice but needs ALOT of upgrading before they charge people the amount of money they are asking..."

"Our resort stay was wonderful! We spent a lot of time relaxing on the beach and drinking tropical drinks. It was great to also be able to retreat back to your air conditioned hotel room. The only thing we paid close attention to was making sure that our food (meat) was cooked all the way through. Sometimes we saw some pink where it should not have been. Overall, though, we had a blast!"

"My friends and I (3 total )went to Almond Bay in May 2012 for the Saint Lucia Jazz Festival. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. We booked a garden view but was upgraded to an ocean view. Check-in was quick and effecient. The room was nice, nothing special. The room had a mini fridge but it was completly empty, no water or anything, during our 4 day stay, we were never offered bottled water for our fridge. The food was OK, nothing special, the entertainment was lacking but at the time we went there was so much going on in the area we didnt need resort entertainment. Would I go back to this resort, yes, but only during the Jazz Fest when I wouldnt have to stay on the resort. Its a good value and decent resort, but if you want luxury and entertainment go somewhere else."

"We stayed at Morgan Beach the last week of May 2012; We found the resort to be in of updating. Despite being opened in 2006, it appears worn. It has been recently taken over by new management who seems to be aware of this. While we were there (the low season, about 40% occupancy) there was a fair amount of construction going on. Sidewalks, painting, etc. The rooms were clean and neat, despite being dated. The restaurants are a bit confusing. Probably because it was the low season, not all were open every night. The menus are limited. Morgan Pier has the same menu every night as does Le Jardin. The two other restaurants alternate types of buffets and limited menued items. The new management seems aware of this limitation as well. We met the chef contracted to come in and review/update their menus. You are supposed to book reservations at the front desk for dinner nightly, but we found that the times were not adhered to at all. If you are looking for a nice beach, this isnt your place. The water is greenish and murky, not crystal clear Caribbean blue. The sand is dark, not white. We did dive several days. Scuba Steve's diving operation is awesome! The access to water toys is nice. Overall, if we had paid full price for this place we would have not been happy. However, it was a nice relaxing vacation with tolerable things that were minor inconveniences."

"We really enjoyed our honeymoon trip a lot! My wife and I are the kind of people who like to experience a place when we travel abroad. While 'Sandals' type resorts are extremely nice...they are too 'American' for our liking. The Morgan Bay Resort has all the amenities that you will need, but you will really experience the people, the culture and the island. The beach and pools are very nice. The food and drinks were VERY good (especially the rum)! If you go, upgrade at least one dinner to LeJardin Restaurant, it was probably some of the best food that we have ever eaten! The service and the staff were very friendly and great to interact with, i will definitely miss the service when we go out to eat back here in the US... Overall we would definitely recommend it! It is a great piece of paradise for an affordable price."

"I stayed with my husband and had a great time. If you are looking for a luxury resort you are not going to find it. The room was big but outdated. We had a beautiful ocean view from our small balcony. When we first got there which was late at night went up to the room and the small fridge was totally empty, not even water was anywere to be found. We did called and they send us two big bottle of water immediately. We were later told that since it is an all inclusive we are supposed to go to the bar and stack it up ourselves. Also the bathroom window and the wall around it was filled with dirty fingertips marks , I assumed at some point they had to fix the window but forgot or choose to forget to clean the area afterwards since the dirt marks were imposible to missed. At that time of the night I choose to clean them up myself . If you like to watch TV while on vacation don't go there. The TV was small and totally outdated. We didn't mind since we don't go on vacation to watch TV. The bed was very hard but the sheets were clean. We don't mind a hard bed but if you do don't go there. On the other hand the beach was small but beautiful, no problem getting towels, the food was generally good. The wine was also good and the people was very friendly and helpful."

"The resort is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and well maintained and the property is landscaped with beautiful trees, flowers and shrubs. The beach is perfect. Food was plentiful and quite good with 4 restaurants to choose from plus a snack restaurant. The fitness center was very well equipped and the water sports equipment was readily available. The nightly entertainment was terrific. We didn't expect such professional bands, singers and dancers. The staff is professional, accommodating, efficient and extremely friendly. All said, we had an outstanding experience at Morgan Bay and I recommend it without reservation, (but of course, you will need a reservation to go there)."
