This is my first Sandals experience and I have to say I was blown away by it, really amazing. The hotel is one of 3 Sandals resorts and the oldest and smallest of the 3, it is close to the capital Castries and takes 90mins to travel from the airport, stunning views, but some of the hairpin bends can make you gasp! St Luci is a wonderful island, mountainous and lush green vegetation, we traveled around and found the locals friendly and welcoming. It is paradise, so relaxing to stay there. Ha... Read more

First I want to thank Dilan and Sheina for making our vacation wonderful besides our issues. It took us almost a month after starting with Jessica Ortega. After many excuses I woke up one morning and realized it was because my niece and I were 2 girls and didn't fit their idea. I call customer service and was told that they had 2 girls awhile ago and had complaints. About 5 times I was told even in a email that we would be happier at Beaches because it was for families and friends. Because of ... Read more

Just returned from a week at Halcyon and I have to say it was amazing. It's a smaller resort but better for that in many ways as it felt more personal and friendly. The staff are all fantastic and worthy of all the praise they get, they were always friendly and helpful and we couldn't fault any of them. There are 2 pools a quiet one with a well run bar...Agnes makes a mean cocktail there and the noiser one with music all day and playmakers trying to get you involved in various activities all day... This was my wife and my 2nd trip to Sandals Halcyon beach. Everything was near perfect. The room was great. We stayed in the Grand lux walkout near the Beach Bistro. The grounds were beautiful, the service was great. Micky, Maverick, Agnes, Patricia were awesome as were everyone we encountered. I highly recommend this resort. We will be back.

We loved sandals halcyon and sandals generally. This was our first sandals but we have done plenty all inclusive before. I was nervous because of the reviews on here (which I had been checking for months), there genuinely was no need. We had 9 nights at halcyon and it was just lovely, the setting is amazing, wasn't aware of the road at all, beach was lovely and as expected from pictures. We didn't get hassled at all by vendors or massage people. We preferred the 'louder' pool but tried both, g... Read more

This was our first visit to St. Lucia and the island is beautiful... when the sun actually came out. We were there for 5 days and the sun only came out on the 4th. That's of no fault to the resort though. Upon arrival, we were taken to the Sandal's Preferred lounge to check in, given a drink, and an iPad to check-in with. We upgraded our room before we left because the pics of the standard room were a little scary. We had the Honeymoon Hideaway Walkout Poolside Club Level Room. The words "Pools... Read more

The overall experience was very nice. However I would advise you to print receipts for anything your promised (spa treatments etc), I had to fight for several things that we were promised. Also, if you have a wedding and reception there, request to not be above the main bar area. I had to pay for personal bar, then they put us literally right over the bar, where we could of walked 20 feet to get our own drinks. Then they had a live band below us that drowned out our own music. All if this being ... Read more

BAD POINTS Beach - as a beach lover this beach is bad. Nothing like the photos. Whilst there a bride to be was that upset with the beach that the couple were moved to the Grande. When a member of the Club Sandals Lounge was asked where the beautiful beach was that was advertised they laughed and said it was washed away in the storms. I stayed here for 3 nights as part of my honeymoon. It's an overall relaxed and solid option to go for. You can't go wrong with the Sandals concept, but I found this one to be below what a 5-star experience should be. Breakfast and TV reception and choice are two points of improvement. I also found the room to be a bit on the small side.

Sandals Halcyon Beach was excellent! We stayed here on our honeymoon and it was exactly what we were looking for! Our room was in the "honeymoon hideaway" area of the resort which although was probably the farthest from everything, was barely far at all and was perfect. The beach was great as well as both pools. We paid for a deluxe beachfront walkout room. A regular room by the quiet pool would have probably been just as good for a lower price. We arrived to Sandals after a long day of travel. We had to switch rooms but the first day we didnt have it in us. We were on Block 8 that literally back up to the Highway. The A/C was not working, the shades were stuck open and the list goes on. The staff at this resort was subpar. We have stayed at a Sandals before and I was not satisfied with the staff here. Such a lovely floral quiet resort. Many available tours to see the island. Also the shuttle travels daily multiple times to and from the other two sandal resoerts. Lovely views of the sunsets over the water with plenty of water sports available. The sole trip was not only a great Snorkel trip buy lovely drive to the docks.

We stayed at Sandals Halcyon back in April and had a great time, everyone was so friendly, one of the best part of my stay was the (quiet pool) bartender Agnes, she was wonderful and thoughtful about everything. I could not have been happier with everything , food was excellent . Loved Marios the best. Maverick our Bellhop was so friendly and willing to help with whatever we needed. Would definitely return

The Halcyon is a beautiful quaint resort, much smaller than the other Sandals resorts on St. Lucia. We really liked this. Service compared to other all-inclusives we have visited was a little hit and miss. In the week we were there, we needed to actually go to the bar locations to get a drink. Only two occasions did someone come and ask us for an order or if we needed anything. It was really nice not to have to tip at Sandals. Within the Sandals Hotel Group, Halcyon Beach holds a top spot for returning guests. We looked at a number of different hotels for an early summer break, and eventually decided to return to Halcyon. A different time of year, but what a difference in the Grounds. Peter and his team do excellent work and grounds maintenance is to a very high standard. Of the 3 Sandals locations in St. Lucia, we found that the Halcyon was the most romantic. Each of the 3 have their own unique feel to them, however, the Halcyon offers the most quiet, private and intimate settings. My wife and I found it to be perfect for honeymooners. We stayed in the Romeo and Juliet suite and had butler service. The butler service was outstanding, especially our main man Yves! He greeted us everyday with a smile and absolute friendliness. Let me first say that my rating of Sandals Halcyon has nothing to do with the staff/employees or the wonderful people of St Lucia. It has everything to do with the quality of the rooms and the discreet cost cutting methods that Sandals utilizes. First I will discuss our room. Having had an amazing time at Sandals Antigua last November, we eagerly booked St Lucia this year and it was always going to be Sandals! Having 3 on St Lucia to choose between was tricky so we acted upon the very firm recommendations of some Canadian Sandals regulars we had met and opted for the quieter Halcyon. We have just returned from 10 days at the Halcyon Beach Resort in St Lucia. We were very disappointed. Our room was very close to the construction and refurbishment going on at the hotel. Every day there was the sound of tile cutting and drilling, not just by our room but across the whole resort. This would go on from 7.30am up to 9.30pm (some days). In entertainment Andreas and Prince Nikile were absolutely phenomenal along with the rest of the entertainment staff are a huge asset and they made the trip very enjoyable. The resort is very peaceful and serene. We enjoyed all the wildlife and beautiful landscape. The rooms have been renovated and are very nice! The restaurants were fantastic! The highlight of our trip was our couples massage! Dawn and Tanya were the BEST! I would highly recommend getting the Rain Drop Massage.
