My friend and I went here today as non-residents of the Jade resort and they were so incredibly rude. When I told them they didn't have to be so rude, (and really shouldn't be given this entire island relies on a tourist economy) the manager woman charged us $17 carribean for a single bottle of water and then refused to give us a receipt and told us we couldn't sit on the chairs because we were sandy (it's a beach bar...?) We had been there the day before and water definitely was NOT that price!... Read more

I am staying at the uptown guest house in Soufriere and decided to go to this resort, which also welcomes visitors who are not staying. I could have walked the hilly 2 km in, or hired a land taxi but opted instead on a water taxi. I wandered to the Hummingbird beach in the early morning where I found a couple of young men who helped me find a boat. When I asked about the price they started at 150 EC and after some friendly banter I paid $50 EC for the 5-10 minute ride. Which seemed much in keepi... Read more

We planned a Christmas family (3) holiday in the Caribbean and since we had never been to St. Lucia, decided on Anse Chastanet. It was expensive (for us anyway), but worth the cost. We are a scuba diving family and this resort had a 5 star PADI facility(Scuba St. Lucia) right on the beach. Anse Chastanet resort has several beachside cottages/rooms, but we chose to stay in one of the hillside rooms with a view of the Pitons. The room itself, and the bathroom, was very spacious with an open floor... Read more

We have recently returned from a very disappointing 11-night stay at the Anse Chastanet resort. We paid ¬£586.94 per night for an all-inclusive package with Deluxe Beachside room ‚?? a total cost of ¬£7,747.52, however we were very clearly mis-sold on what we were led to believe was a 4 / 5 star hotel (depending on the website reviewed), but in my view, & having stayed at many splendid 4 and 5 star properties around the globe, this hotel is a 2.5 star at best. Accommodation: On check in we we... Read more

The entire property exudes kindness respect and love of beautiful things. To have the love of caring for customers wishes and to keep the resort wonderful for everyone is a great example of total service. Keep it up!

We stayed here before Christmas, had a fantastic room with views of the Pitons in one direction and the ocean in the other. The hotel has been designed to fit in with the forest surroundings and there is an abundance of flora and fauna to enjoy. The beach is lovely with a great reef at the end ideal for snorkelling and diving. The food is delicious but what really makes the hotel is the staff who were all charming, friendly and who did their best to ensure that we had a great stay. We loved ... Read more

We just returned from an 8 night stay and couldn't be happier to have spent our first trip to St. Lucia at Anse Chastanet. We expected beauty and a unique setting and were not disappointed! More importantly, we thoroughly enjoyed meeting each of the staff members and talking with them each day about their island and learning about their culture. Everyone was so kind, sweet and genuinely excited to share the island with us. What a treat to spend time with such great people! We kept busy with the... Read more

Beautiful beach but the hotel, food, service and amenities are at best 3 star. If they don't update this place soon it will surely be 'found out.' On one night the only food and bar option at the resort was the managers cocktail reception buffet. Depressing. A real let down and a waste of a rare few days off.

Me, my new wife (and the in-laws) recently enjoyed a week-long stay in Anse Chastanet. Immediate feelings were as bumpy as the entry road, but upon arrival, all traces of negativity were quashed as we reached the reception area. That 2km rocky ride in was definitely worth it. AC is not a traditional luxury hotel as such; more a collection of eco-aware lodges scattered amongst the lush escalating hillside. Rates are fairly high, however if you fancy going one better, the Jade Mountain will appe... Read more

My husband and I went to Anse Chastenet for part of our 20th Anniversary Caribbean vacation. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Pluses: great location on the ocean - gorgeous sunset views. Lot's of activities (we are very active). Food was generally very good (we did the meal plan - definitely worth it). We went on one excursion hike to Enbas Sault - ok. Good exercise. Nice guide. Great snorkeling at the resort and the diving is really good. Exceptional dive shop. Staff was outstanding everywhe... Read more
