There is plenty of things going on for all ages . Sailing, water skiing & doughnut rings where great fun & we all took part in them everyday. We always go all inclusive it is expensive from the uk with the flight added on but all booked early to save up. there are cheaper hotels on the island but for us we wouldn't stay anywhere else. thank you t... From the moment that my wife and I arrived at St Lucia airport, we fell in love with the place. The heat, the slightly (but not off-putting) anarchic feel to the arrivals hall (a sax player air-side before immigration was a novelty!) and the warmth of the immigration staff all just set our trip off on the perfect path. The ATM just outside the arrivals hall enabled us to withdraw EC$ to pay the driver that we had booked through the resort to take us the 90 minute transfer to Windjammer Landing.... Read more

Just had a week at Windjammer with a friend. Maybe my best holiday ever! Gorgeous setting, fantastic accommodation and the most wonderful people. Everyone is so happy there and they make you feel so welcome and it was very hard to leave. Lots to do on resort as well as trips around the island. We did the Soufriere Adventure travelling south on a catamaran visiting botanical gardens, volcano and hot sulphur mud springs, the must-see Pitons, ending in snorkeling from the boat by the Pitons. The room/villa was excellent and very spacious... great view directly to the sea. The room attendants were excellent and made cleaning thorough. The location is excellent and front rooms provide excellent view of the ocean... the beach is excellent and I loved the water. I think that management may consider removing the seaweed that populates the bathing area, because non-Caribbean guests seemed scared of the water. I believe it was the fear of the seaweeds. Service was general excellent except... Read more

Spent 3 days on a budget at the Downtown Hotel in Soufriere and then up to the Windjammer for 7 more. Experienced both ends of the spectrum from local bars and night life to being spoiled all inclusive style. WINDJAMMER excelled at every turn. Make it a point to eat at the Italian Restaurant more than once, by far THE BEST of all the selections. Also take a sea kayak out for a trip and bring the water camera as flying fish will surely follow your trail of bread crumbs.

The journey from the airport was about an hour and a half but the views were amazing on the way so that didn't really matter. Our villa was perfectly air conditioned which was a lovely break from the scorching heat and our villa was three floors tall so was a real treat. The downside of the room was that it was up a hill and quite hard work to get to but it was good to get the exercise and you could always wait for their shuttle service which was very useful. This was the most incredible trip ever. The staff at Windjammer-Landing along with all the people of St. Lucia were the most hospitable that I have ever met. They made my fairy tale vacation come to life. I would recommend this to anyone who is thinking about getting away to paradise. Windjammer-Landing is the place to go! We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary there. Little did we know they gave us Villa 25 and upgraded us with a private pool. I was in tears when I saw it. Every vil... Read more

Windjammer Landing. Oh how I miss you. I don't even know where to begin. Ok so the drive from the airport like others mentioned is about 1 hour and 20 minutes. The views throughout the drive were amazing. I am afraid of heights but the land is so pretty I forgot about my fears. Upon arriving at Windjammers, my fiancé and I were greeted with cold towels and rum punch (yum). Although there were a lot of people checking in, Lindon was very prompt and efficient. Which meant we were heavily reliant on the shuttle service up and down the hillside. The service was exceptional. The staff was always very courteous and accommodating. This is a nice resort on a beautiful island. Some of the villas offer awesome views. We paid a premium for a nice villa but were disappointed in Villa #42. It really needed an upgrade, the bathrooms were stale, and some views were limited. We requested an upgrade and viewed two options but neither offered air conditioning in the common area. The rooms are really nicely decorated and all have a fantastic view, because of the location of the hotel with rooms set into the hill there is a mini bus that transports everyone too and from their rooms to the main hotel area if ... Over the years we have traveled throughout the Caribbean but wanted to go further south. After reading reviews and researching on my own for months, I decided to book the Windjammer. Best decision! I am going to save you trouble, book this place and forget about it. You cannot go wrong. Our vacation here was excellent. We stayed in rooms #142 A & B. The accommodations were perfect for my wife and 14 yr old son and 11 yr old daughter. OK some specific comments: 1. Shuttle service - this worried... Read more

This was my 3rd visit to the beautiful island of St. Lucia, however, my stay at the Windjammer took my experience to an all time high. From the time we checked in, the staff was absolutely amazing. A special thank you to Jackie Joseph, who rolled out the red carpet and went the extra mile to ensure that our stay would forever be remembered. The property has the best view on the island and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff accommodated all of our needs and everyone demonstrated the... Read more

We visited the last two weeks in june. Our room was a premium ocean view and it did not disappoint.,had a fantastic view over the bay and beautiful sunsets.. The room itself was spacious and kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping staff. I particularly liked the his and her basins in the bathroom, brightly painted in Caribbean style, and loved the roof top sun area that was very private. There choice of watersports did not disappoint and the daily activities programme was good. This is an honest review, and to prove it I'll start with the bad news... We had some RX sunglasses and money stolen from our safe by a small portion of the staff (maid, security guard and asst. mgr. who we found in our room but trusted enough to not take full inventory of our belongings when we found them in our villa) the sunglasses were returned but not the money (to be honest we did not follow up when we left so it may have been if we followed up), otherwise the visit and staff were wonderfu... Overall, our experience was good. The resort is very family friendly, although, we did not bring our kids along this time, we will certainly bring them next time. Lots for everyone to do and most activities are included in your resort fees. The food is decent, but not great. The ocean view from our villa was amazing and the staff was very friendly. Good entertainment, nice workout facility and good alcoholic beverages. An overall good experience for the price. Will likely visit again.

I made an exchange through RCI for this resort. The Windjammer Resort is set on a hillside overlooking the Carribean Sea. The service and resort was exceptional! I had a room in the 13X,s and the view was astounding.I was told that all the rooms affords this view. If you can get a room in the higher range ....why not?Acess to most of the rooms are by shuttle since the roadway are steep and winds up the hillside. My room was clean (except for the shutters) and it needed some serious update. There... Read more

Stayed here in the late July, still here for the last night. Have a one bedroom suite on the top with very nice but mostly mountain view. During the taxi ride I realized that no way there are outside dining options, as the resort is basically in the middle of no where. So got a food plan (all food but no drinks, I assumed no alcohol) for $100 per person per day. They did not explain to me how it works, did not mention that there is no dinner buffet, restaurants are small and require reservations... Read more

While cruising on Carnival's Sunshine, we stopped in St. Lucia. We have been to St. Lucia many many times and have seen just about all there is. We decided to email the windjammer resort and ask if we could get a day pass and spend the day. It was wonderful. We paid one price at check in and we were allowed to spend the entire day there eating when ever we wanted, drinking whenever we wanted, swimming on the private beach, swimming in the private pools, notice i said pools, it was fantastic. ... Just back from 11 nights here and had a wonderful time. The staff are generally excellent here. Our little boy (Tom) was treated almost like royalty by some members (you know who you are!) -Thank you! On the whole the food is good, but may become repetitive after a week or so. We took the all inclusive option, which looking at the prices, is definitely the way to go. Try to catch the buffet nights to vary your meals. My husband's family arranged for us to use their timeshare for our honeymoon in St. Lucia. We found the Windjammer online and thought it looked absolutely beautiful. We were pleasantly shocked to find that the resort was even more beautiful in person than in pictures. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa that included a kitchen, living room, 2 bathrooms, and a large balcony with a mini-pool. We had a breathtaking view of the ocean and we felt so secluded - which we loved! Even though there were many... Read more

There are lots of good things about Windjammer Landing and whilst a few things could be improved upon, overall we had a lovely time. We booked a two bedroom ocean view room. Our children had the twin bedded room downstairs and we had the larger bedroom upstairs, both with bathrooms and for a family of 4, this worked really well. There was also a roof terrace which gave us amazing views of the Caribbean Sea. We opted for bed and breakfast as we don't like to remain in the resort all the time but ... Read more

This was a very nice trip. Not incredible, but nice. Good value for the money and there were tons of British people, which was interesting since we usually don't run into the English too often. Food was solid for a Caribbean location. Rum was really good and the drinks were stiff. I'd say it's not as green on the island as I had anticipated but overall a good experience.

Our 4 bedroom villa was absolutely spectacular. The view was incredible and the layout perfect for us. We had 6 adults and a 1 year old. My only complaint about the villa is we wish we had a bathroom on the main level. The rooms are great. The shuttle service was on and off. Sometimes it was readily available and sometime we had to wait more than 15 minutes for it. The food throughout the resort was just okay. This is one of several hotels that I have stayed in St Lucia and there is no denying that it has a fantastic view; depending on the room that you are allocated. This is a large resort and perfect for those that want that type of resort experience. Not so great if you want to venture out as the hotel is off the main road by quite a distance and the only way to get down is to get a taxi which costs $14 US which is quite expensive considering that via transportation its not that long a drive. There is no doubt from reading some of these reviews that the quality of stay here is very dependent on what type of room you get. We were lucky enough (or Caribbean Classics were dedicated enough) to get a fabulous two bedroom villa (villa 9) which was halfway up the hill and had a completely stunning 270 degree view of the sea, the sky, and the mountains. The villa was beautifully designed and equipped and the plunge pool was a huge bonus and a lot of fun for our teenage kids. And tons of airc... Read more

What a place! We came back yesterday and it was the best holiday we have ever had. The staff were the friendliest we have ever encountered, especially Ronnie in Jammers. We took our running things so we could go running but that went out the window as it was very very hilly. The shuttle service to your villa/ rooms was brilliant. All you had to do was ring and they would turn up. The water sports were such fun. The kids (16 & 19) enjoyed the banana boat and the donuts as well as snorkelling and ... Read more

We stayed for 11 nights end of July into august in a 2 bed villa with plunge pool. We had requested a newly renovated villa near the main complex.... and got neither. That said the villa was still very good and absolutely huge. Beds were comfy and cleaned daily. We had a wonderful vacation here. The accommodations are excellent, the grounds are well maintained, the location superb. Our villa was quite private and very quiet. The place was fully furnished and well-equipped for our use. With the villas built into the hillside, there is little room to park a car, so they provide 24-hour shuttle service, which was prompt on most occasions and the drivers were very courteous and helpful.

Compared with the other places we learned about from other travellers to St Lucia, Windjammer seems like one of the best, particularly in relation to the choice of restaurants. There are 4, so plenty to choose from, given that you have to book a table each night, and we were shocked to hear stories of other resorts having to cram customers into just one or two restaurants.
