This hidden gem is a true find in hectic times. The service is impeccable - friendly and attentive. The rooms are romantic and well appointed. Food was also excellent. We were here with our cousins from England and none of us wanted to leave. We played croquet, enjoyed the impressive swimming pool and took walks on the grounds and into the adjacent rain forest trail. Beauty surrounded us all day long. Highly recommended!

What can I say about Ottley's? The gardens are just amazing, as are the people, the owners and the management. Donna was especially helpful to make sure we saw the island and were looked after. It has a beautiful pool, set close to the restaurant and bar area, with plenty of sun loungers to relax in. Freshly laundered towels are always available. Marty's tour of the gardens is so interesting, it is amazing the tales he has to tell about most of the plants and trees. Very entertaining tour. ... Read more

Please get here while on St. Kitt's... it's a little out of the way and there is nothing really around it per se... but so worth the taxi ride. Been there three times over the course of 12 years. Have never been during the day but wanted to... to see their incredible gardens. Old plantation is stunningly beautiful, especially at Christmas.

I echo previous complimentary reviews. Having visited the majority of the best known hotels on these islands this would be my number 1 hotel choice in St Kitts or Nevis. Beautiful grounds, welcoming staff, very good food & spacious rooms with stunning views. A wonderful spot to get away from it all.

We came to St Kitts for the first time and had a condo booked for our stay in Frigate bay, unfortunately there was major construction going on next door so we decided to find some other place to stay as what is the point traveling thousands of miles to listen to construction while on vacation. We drove up to Ottley‚??s plantation inn to check it out, we spoke to Donna the hotel manager and Janet the reservations manager both were extremely helpful and we decided that it was the place for us. We stayed at Ottley's for a week just as the season slowed so there were very few guests. It's an amazing place, beautifully looked after, great staff. If it was next to the sea it would be 100% perfect in every way - the lovely spring water pool is a close second though. Possibly one of the nicest pools I've ever swum in. The food was great, do let them know ahead of time if you are planning a trip out and you need breakfast by a specific time. Even though they knew of our plans we didn't speci... Read more

Ottley's Plantation Inn left us feeling we'd seen an authentic restored plantation, unlike so many other places that call themselves plantations on St. Kitts & Nevis. We had stayed at four different properties during our tour of St. Kitts & Nevis and viewed several others, so we had plenty to compare. We stayed in a deluxe room on the top floor of the great house and could not have asked for anything more. Beautiful views down over the lawn to the Atlantic ocean in the distance in one directi... It's going to be hard to do justice to the experience we had here at Ottley's. Somehow, five stars doesn't seem enough. We knew we wanted to go to the Caribbean on honeymoon, but after browsing pages of beach-resorts we thought we would like something a bit quieter, where we could spend time on our own as newlyweds. Ottley's ticked all the boxes - especially with the promise of a deluxe room with private plunge pool! I must say that the photos and descriptions don't do justice to the place. We... Read more

We loved Ottleys, with the extensive gardens, wonderful food, great pool and in particular getting to know the owners, It is one of these places that really deserves 6 stars and is highly recommended.

We chose Ottley‚??s based on many glowing reviews on Trip Advisor and looked forward to experiencing it ourselves. The plantation itself is fantastic and full of history. The grounds are well maintained and the food is expensive, but very good. It is relaxing, quiet, and tranquil. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming. Our room had a small plunge pool that we enjoyed using in the afternoons. Outside of these amenities, we quickly realized the inconvenience of Ottley‚??s remote location. After... Read more

We spent seven nights at Ottley's this month. We came to relax, eat well, and enjoy the island. We did all three. It is more convenient to eat dinner on property, but that worked really well for us. We did a number of beach days at Shipwreck (which has fantastic food and no chair charge) and then took the free Ottley's shuttle back at 4:30. This gave us time to relax in the private plunge pool before dinner. Given the quality of the food, our desire to venture out to another restaurant we... Read more

Look no further if you are considering staying on St. Kitts! This place is the best. When it comes to atmosphere, standard of service, setting, quality of food, flora and fauna.... this place wins. No, it is not the cheapest place... but you get what you pay for and more!! From the minute you arrive you really feel as though you are somewhere special. Each and every staff member you encounter are full of charm and personality. (OK, even if you can't stay here you must at least come for a meal a... Read more

Ottley's is suck a great combination of enjoyable elements. Firstly, you will discover the beauty of the grounds and buildings. The garden is gorgeous and the views of the atlantic ocean magnificent. The well maintained colonial buildings were very charming and romatic. Secondly, we really apprecited the attentiveness and personal approach of the oweners and all their staff. You really feel well taken care off without your personal space being invaded. Thirdly, the food at the Royal Palm Restaur... Read more

Marty, Karen, Janet - Thank you! Ottley's location, service, grounds, staff are all superlative! Personal attention from staff saved us from potentially having to ruin our trip by having left medications at home. Marty got in touch with his personal physician and arranged an appointment and resolved the meds issue without further incident - Thanks again! The deluxe room was immaculate and a joy to stay in. Most charming and roomy at the same time. The grounds are joy to walk and view. Flower... Read more

This review is years in the making, I think possibly it has been 3 years since our stay, but I felt the need to post so that anyone visiting St. Kitts has the opportunity to experience Ottley's. The staff and owners are incredibly gracious & service oriented. We stayed in a cottage & would recommend booking a cottage if possible. The bathroom at the time, was a bit tired in decor but was very clean. We went on Marty's Garden Tour, walked through the rain forest to The Tree and enjoyed as much of... Read more

I recently returned from a stay at Ottley's Plantation, my first trip to St Kitts, booked through BA Holidays. This hotel really appealed to me to sample an old plantation house and experience part of the culture and history of the island. I am so pleased we made this choice! The hotel is just fantastic, really different from anywhere I have stayed before and the staff really make it extra special. Not the place to stay if you're a beach lover as its not located on a beach but we booked a room... Read more

The setting was idyllic, the food plentiful, of excellent quality created by dedicated staff and served in a most friendly manner in the restaurant overlooking the coast. The gardens are kept neat and tidy (again) by dedicated staff and the cottages serviced well and frequently. The cottage itself was well equipped with modern facilities which did not disturb the colonial style. We stayed for 9 nights and felt that it was maybe 2 nights too long since the menu is repeated on a 7-day rota - sadly... Read more

We are very frequent visitors to Ottley‚??s‚?¶usually a couple of weeks each summer. We were there in July, 2016, overlapping the couple who wrote negative comments about the dogs. In fact, there are two absolutely wonderful dogs living on the property: we always pick the cottage closest to them so that we get to say ‚??hello‚?? several times a day. Zena is lovely‚?¶a white mixed breed who is so quiet and well behaved you hardly know she is there. Jonny is a wonderful‚?¶larger, brindle colored a... Read more

I've been going to St. Kitts for over 20 years, and each trip includes a drive to Ottley's Plantation for dinner. There are other restaurants on the island where you can dress up for date night, but none come close to the impeccable service and exquisite food at Ottley's. Dinner outside by the aqua pool is the highlight of every trip. You're paying for the ambiance, the service, and the quality food, so expect prices to match the surroundings. I have never stayed at the hotel, but friends who ha... Read more
