My husband and I stayed at this hotel but didn't really like it. The place is suitable for family with children. The accommodation was comfortable but I didn't like the way the bathroom was designed. When we had our shower the hole bathroom floor was wet & it's dangerous & slippery. We did like the pool area

We loved this resort. It is away a bit from the beaches but a beautiful piece of property. The staff is excellent and the rooms are really private casitas. There are no tv's so it is very calm and peaceful. The restaurant is great and breakfast is included each morning. The chef is European and does home made jams, granola etc. we rented a car 1 day cost was around $100 usd total. But I would not use this rental place as he further charged our cc $25 when we got home to US. Otherwise a great st... Read more

We just returned from 8 nights at the Montpelier Plantation and enjoyed it very much. The estate is simply beautiful and it was so nice to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, the gardens, wildlife and stunning views. Being on the hillside, the breezes were fantastic. Out room was updated and very nice. It was efficiently serviced twice a days by the lovely housekeepers. All the staff at the hotel really make an effort to provide great service and all did an outstanding job...even The charming Cosm... Read more

We were there for five nights to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary and we could not have chosen a more peaceful and beautiful location. All the staff are wonderful and the food is excellent. If you go to the beach, be sure to order lunch. It comes in a cooler and has china plates, silverware and cloth napkins. We loved the beach with its own bar and its privacy. Only thing lacking was music. It would be nice to have soft Caribbean music playing in the bar area.

Our stay at Montpelier was perfection. We could not have chosen a better location and will be going back soon. We feel as if we left family and can't wait to go back to see everyone. If you are looking to get away from the noise and speed of everyday life, this is the place for you. We loved every moment spent together in quiet respite as well as the chat sessions w/the staff. The food is excellent! My only complaint is, I could not stop eating the delicious food. We were thoroughly spoiled than... Read more

Absolutely delightful place near to the Botanic Gardens. Right from the moment of arrival you feel content. We had a double room and it was exceptional with nice touches like welcoming flowers. Really enjoyed breakfasts esp Sunday Nevisian Brunch. It was great on one morning being able to just walk to some old planatation ruins. We made our own way to the beach and loved the private cabanas and having a bar on site!! The staff at this hotel are phenomenal from the charming grounds staff to the m... Read more

We were staying in St. Kitts & visited Nevis for the day. This is a little tricky to find but located near the botanical garden on Nevis. Restaurant is modern and well decorated. It is poolside & surrounded by gardens. I ate the curry chicken salad ( really flavorful but not hot) my husband had the catch of the day. Just scrumptious. We asked the very nice bar tender if he could make a Mojito. He went & found mint for us and made us the best Mojitos I have had in a very long time. Awesome. We a... Read more

Nevis is an amazing island to visit in part because of the Montpelier Plantation and their amazing restaurants. The views are amazing, truly is like in the pictures, The staff is friendly, but not fake, and your room maybe the best on the island! Two suggestions to the owner would be to get a small gym set up, and to have an established suggested activity as knowing which to pick can be a challenging expereince.

From the moment we arrived at Montpelier, we were stunned by the location, the people and the relaxing atmosphere. John, Jackie and all the other amazing staff just made us feel so at home and the service is faultless. We loved the private beach and had pelicans flying above us and fishing near us on several occasions. On one day there were a total of 4 guests there and it was just blissful. We were allocated a beautiful room which had a garden and ocean view, and loved being serenaded at nigh... Read more

There are several little cottages, very traditional, charming, old style. Do not expect fancy, but what it makes it for it is the attention, service and dedication. I really, really like it here, and in general Nevis is a very nice island, different from st. Kitts. It is with to come here.

I spent one week at Montpelier in the Garden Room. In general the property was lovely and well kept. The room had a couple flaws - broken tap, broken tiles but this did not take away from the atmosphere. It was so peaceful and beautiful, I was just happy to be there. The one thing that made my stay special was the very lovely staff who made me feel like a part of the family. I will never forget my wonderful experience and hope to return very soon

We are so glad we chose to come to Nevis for or honeymoon and Montpelier was the perfect ace to stay. Check in was quick and easy with Abi. She is so sweet and very helpful with anything we needed throughout our stay. Staff was very helpful when our flight out was cancelled and did everything they could to make it easy for us. The rooms are beautiful, very nice floor, dark out curtains, great AC and a beautiful private veranda which looks over the amazing grounds of the hotel. Great place to s... Read more

We stayed at the Montpelier as part of a 10-night family holiday to Nevis - it was the right choice. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel thoroughly 'at home'. I use this phrase since the hotel manages to achieve a wonderful balance between a top quality stay, whilst retaining something of a homely feel, enabling you to truly relax whilst also feeling pampered. I will resist the urge to write a tome, since that's not much use to people who are trying to compare hotels, so I'll cover t... Read more

I spent a bit over a week at Montpelier in the last week of July/first week of August ‚?? during Nevis‚?? Culturama celebration. I have been to Nevis many times, with my husband, with my children, and on my own, and I usually rent a villa or cottage. But, since I was going on my own and I‚??m a woman in her early 60s, I thought I would feel more comfortable if I stayed at Montpelier, instead of on my own in a cottage. I‚??ve had dinner at Montpelier, and lunch, and a memorable Christmas Eve din... Read more

We spent 4 nights at Montpelier and as this was the final few days of our Caribbean break, we were really looking forward to our stay as it had appeared to be a luxurious choice. However, our experience left us feeling a little deflated as, in our view, the resort wasn't quite up to scratch and didn't meet our high expectations. If there was a rating between "average" and "very good", I would probably have selected that. We got off to a shaky start with the boat transfer - there was a lot of c... Read more

Understated luxury, wonderful staff, nice location. A hotel we shall definitely return to. The restaurent is one of the best on the island, and is hardly more expensive than some of the beach hotel ones. One of the top places to see when visiting Nevis. It is also very convenient for visiting the well known botanical gardens just a stroll down the path. Only thing that would be needed is a renovation of the bathrooms which look Florida outfits in the 50's.

The grounds and hotel common areas are beautiful. The staff is very friendly. The food is excellent. The rooms are large with nice patios and views. The hotel is isolated, so nice and quiet, except for the tree frogs donkeys and goats which live nearby. But, the downside is that there are no nearby places to eat. The only close activity is the Botanical Gardens. So, this is a great place to relax and escape.

We went here for dinner and had a wonderful time. We were staying at Paradise Beach and they highly recommended it. It was as nice as they said. After having seafood for days, we decided to try the beef and were pleasantly surprised. It was fabulous. The food was all great and they had lots of 'surprise' appetizers. We got a nice bottle of Malbec and had a wonderful evening. The ambiance is superb and we got no bug bites, even though we were outdoors. (We did spray insect repellant ahead... Read more

Island hopping in the Caribbean and needed somewhere to stay for a couple of nights while I sampled Nevis. Well what a choice this was! And the reason for me placing this review and seeming to gush abou if all is that the service was superb making you feel like you were sharing a private home with friends, not staying at a high end hotel. Arriving after sunset, the entrance was lit with fire torches, giving a dramatic and exciting first view of the property, expertly converted from the building... Read more

I am obsessed with Montpelier after my best friend was married there last week. We stayed for the majority of the week (only left to make room for more family arriving). The staff stand out as some of the most accommodating, friendly (AND FUN) people we've met on trips all over the world. Thank you to them for showing us a slice of your world and being excellent hosts. The private beach is home to the world's best Pina Colada and our back porch was a window to a beautiful sunset.
