There are three restaurants at the Montpelier Plantation and we selected the Mill Privee due to its romantic setting in the old sugar mill. And what a special evening it was. Not only was the dinner intimate with only a few tables, but the service was impeccable and the meal was glorious. The menu was a Prix fixed selection of three delicious courses plus dessert. The tuna strips with sesame and ponzu sauce was yummy, the snapper encrusted with coconut, divine and the duck, excellent. Truly the ... Read more

Leslie was such a host! We stopped at Montpelier for a drink and to see the hotel grounds. The pool and drinks at the bar were so refreshing. They offer drinks in real coconuts. BEAUTIFUL location. A must see stop on your tour of Nevis!

My husband and I visited Montpelier after reading about it in a travel magazine and we were not disappointed! We visited in November which is in the shoulder season so there was risk of torrential rain but with rates low and the promise of a serene and quiet stay we think it's worth it. We got lucky as it only rained at night so the days were left hot and dry! The pool is something you would expect to find in a glamorous chic Monaco hotel. We spent most days enjoying a late breakfast (10am)... Read more

We couldn't have been happier with our choice of staying at Montpelier! From the minute we arrived to our last day, the experience was wonderful. It was our first time and Nevis, and we had a great time. The staff was wonderful, so helpful, so accommodating, so NICE! The resort is secluded and the rooms make you feel like you are the only ones there. The pool area, is fabulous and perfect for lounging. We had a wonderful BBQ on the beach, prepared by the chef, with wonderful seafood. We also had... Read more

I am obsessed with Montpelier after my best friend was married there last week. We stayed for the majority of the week (only left to make room for more family arriving). The staff stand out as some of the most accommodating, friendly (AND FUN) people we've met on trips all over the world. Thank you to them for showing us a slice of your world and being excellent hosts. The private beach is home to the world's best Pina Colada and our back porch was a window to a beautiful sunset. Thanks again ... Read more

Island hopping in the Caribbean and needed somewhere to stay for a couple of nights while I sampled Nevis. Well what a choice this was! And the reason for me placing this review and seeming to gush abou if all is that the service was superb making you feel like you were sharing a private home with friends, not staying at a high end hotel. Arriving after sunset, the entrance was lit with fire torches, giving a dramatic and exciting first view of the property, expertly converted from the building... Read more

We went here for dinner and had a wonderful time. We were staying at Paradise Beach and they highly recommended it. It was as nice as they said. After having seafood for days, we decided to try the beef and were pleasantly surprised. It was fabulous. The food was all great and they had lots of 'surprise' appetizers. We got a nice bottle of Malbec and had a wonderful evening. The ambiance is superb and we got no bug bites, even though we were outdoors. (We did spray insect repellant ahead... Read more

I went to Montpelier with my love and we really had an excellent time. The staff was awesome, the grounds were well manicured, the pool was beautiful and the food at 750 was delicious! We would definitely come back again.

The grounds and hotel common areas are beautiful. The staff is very friendly. The food is excellent. The rooms are large with nice patios and views. The hotel is isolated, so nice and quiet, except for the tree frogs donkeys and goats which live nearby. But, the downside is that there are no nearby places to eat. The only close activity is the Botanical Gardens. So, this is a great place to relax and escape.

Understated luxury, wonderful staff, nice location. A hotel we shall definitely return to. The restaurent is one of the best on the island, and is hardly more expensive than some of the beach hotel ones. One of the top places to see when visiting Nevis. It is also very convenient for visiting the well known botanical gardens just a stroll down the path. Only thing that would be needed is a renovation of the bathrooms which look Florida outfits in the 50's.
