Huge hotel, exceptionally clean, let down by a poor restaurant that was effectively self-service buffet. Not sure that I expect a hello from staff at the restaurant entrance and then be told "go find a table", I would expect to be shown to a table. No table rotation system, people walked past your table constantly, not a calm comfortable eating experience at all. Bars were ok, pools were freezing and entertainment was dire. We are used to cruise ships which we consider to 4/5 stars for everythin... Read more

We found this hotel to be very good with the staff being totally amazing. It was lovely to see that the staff and management all worked together and enjoyed what they were doing, it was especially lovely to see staff singing and dancing. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. All this added to a serenely relaxed atmosphere with no noise to disturb your relaxation. We had a room on the 5th floor (ground floor was 4th) and the views were superb. In front was the sea, to the right the little lighth... Read more

Stayed at Timanfaya Palace for the 2nd time this year from 26 April to 2 May, a massive improvement has been made in my opinion in the quality of food. Hotel staff friendly & helpfull as always and the hotel is kept spotlessly clean & tidy. A special thank you to Ahaloma who always greeted us with a friendly smile & handshake in the Restaurant each day, also to E Van D for allowing us to have a late room checkout on our last day. Definitely the best 4* Hotel in Playa Blanca

I always believe that there is no point in submitting a hotel review that does not truly and accurately reflect your experience. Having read some of the negative reviews submitted by previous guests my wife and I wondered what to expect. I guess that no hotel is going to suit everyone and I am well aware that people often have their own reasons for submitting poor reviews genuine or otherwise. So let me say right from the outset that in our view the Timanfaya Palace is one of the best adults o... Read more

We arrived from the airport just after 10pm to be greeted by friendly helpful staff and a very welcome glass of champagne and it got better! To our delight a cold meal plus drinks were waiting for us once we had settled in to our room. Our room however was a bit of a bit of a route march from reception, but on further investigation we cut across the pool area straight into the main block, just one flight of steps to the self service restaurant. This was our eighth visit to the Timanfaya and we look forward to going again next year. The staff are polite, nothing too much trouble for them and welcome you as old friends. The quality of our room and the view were excellent. Food variety, service and quality all as good as you would expect. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Nice walk down to the harbour or taxi ride for a few euros if you do not want to walk.

Stayed at this hotel for two weeks. The hotel is maintained very well, There are however some issues which I will list below 1. There was no shower mat in the bath and was very slippery. 2. We stayed on half board basis. At breakfast there was water and juices included At dinner however water was not included and they charge 2.40 euro for a 500 ml bottle of water. Water should be included for dinner . 3. Beware there are extra charges for a lot of things at this hotel. We had to pay for the... Read more

Initial impressions are of a magnificent luxurious building, but this soon wears off. We were unfortunate to be placed to the left of the main building, as you face the sea, in a block with all the smells and sounds of the kitchen, from 6am onwards when the staff arrive. It was not pleasant. We had requested a room near my 84 year old mother; her room was two floors up, and miles away! Apparently nothing could be done to change this. It was going to be a matter of putting up with things. So, ... Read more

The General Manager was seen several times walking round his hotel, he always had time to stop and chat to you. Would i go back yes. Great Hotel.

I stayed at the H10 Timanfaya Palace for 7 nights from the 20th - 27th June 2016 with my boyfriend. I had known people that had been a few weeks prior to myself and that had advised that the ground level rooms are actually slightly below the ground level so before i went i emailed the hotel and requested to be from level 2 up. Arrived just before 10pm and were rushed by reception staff to go straight to the restaurant for some food. I found this quite stressful as we had literally 15 minutes to get sorted and we felt slightly 'travelled' and couldn't freshen up. Despite being privilege option guests, this did seem rather ridiculous. We would have happily settled for something light like cold meat and salad in our room - as so many other hotels do when you arrive late evening. When we got to the restaurant it was virtu... Just returned from our second visit to Timanfaya Palace, we stayed there two years ago & don't usually go to the same place twice so that, in itself, is a ringing endorsement! We booked a garden room through Thomson as it was the only option available when booking. We had previously stayed in a sea view room (435) on our previous visit & having read all the negative comments about garden rooms on here I was slightly tentative. In actual fact we were given room 164 which had an absolutely beautif... Read more

I visited the Timanfaya Palace in Easter holidays with my mum. On arrival we were offered a glass of bubbly whilst waiting to check in which was a lovely bonus! The reception has a beautiful Moroccan feel. We found our room and although it was a bit dark being below ground floor, it was very clean and spacious. The hotel has an amazing location, right out the back door is the sea and a short walk along to the beach and cafes/ restaurants of Playa Blanca. The hotel had a super selection for break... We stayed 10th-21st July and had a wonderful holiday. We arrived around 1pm and our room wasn't ready, which didn't worry us as it gave us a chance to have a wander round to let us see what we were in for! After enjoying a lunch at the pool bar we picked up the keys to our room - well it was a suite and was gorgeous, with 2balconies and beautiful sea views. It was on 2nd floor and quite a trek where main restaurant was on that floor and lift/stairs to other floors but the room was worth it..Th... Read more

We went to this hotel 7 July 2016 for 2 weeks all inclusive. We were in room 124 overlooking the pool. The room was spacious massive bed large bathroom. Flat screen TV and tea/coffee plus kettle. Room was immaculate. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and are always happy to help. Drinks are all branded nothing local so that was a bonus, we got the fridge free as we were AI. The food was really good suitable for all tastes, I'm so fussy and I found something to eat every night. The piano w... Read more

The hotel is in a great location, near to a sandy beach with a promenade just outside the grounds which meanders alongside the coast for miles. Our room was gorgeous, it was on the 3rd floor, with a balcony and a sea-view. The bathroom was very nice indeed - all white tiled, clean and modern. The huge TV on the wall unusually had a few English channels (besides the news!)! There were 3 pools, 2 outdoor (which were very cold, which my husband favoured) and 1 indoor (lovely and warm). We didn't ... Read more

Great hotel, and great service from the staff; but to really make the most of your holiday you must go Privilege Superior if at all possible. This enables you to have a magnificent, fresh, quality breakfast, and a la carte dinner every night in the Kasbah restaurant. The staff there, especially Alfredo and Javier, are a credit to H10 brand. You also have access to the Privilege lounge and shaded terrace by the main pool, with complimentary drinks and snacks from morning to night. You also never ... Read more

Just back from a 2 week stay at this lovely hotel. The fantastic staff are a credit to this establishment, Everyone spoke as they passed in the corridors and were incredibly helpful and polite. The rooms were spacious and well equipped with cleanliness being a priority. Food in the restaurant was of a very high standard and the choice/ variety was endless with themed evenings. We stayed on a half board basis and were also more than happy with the food at breakfast. My only suggestion would be to... Read more

We had a really relaxing two week stay here at Timanfaya. The food is amazing, done to a very high standard and there really is something for everyone. It's about a five minute walk to the beach and is a 25 minute walk to the centre of Playa Blanca where you will find lots of restaurants (not many bars at all mind). We're not really ones to complain but the only niggles we had was that our room was nothing like what was advertised in the brochure (number 008) - the bathroom was dirty and we ac... Read more

Not your average all inclusive hotel, H10 Timanfaya is a cut above the rest. Food and drink were excellent, room was good. Not sure whether there is any benefit to upgrading to the privilege package. The main benefit would be being able to eat in the Kasbah restraunt for every meal. To be honest the service was variable to say the least. I don't think they have a dedicated staff for the Kasbah, which shows as we ate there on 3 separate times and the degree of service varied tremendously, form g... Read more

My boyfriend and I visited this hotel for a week at the end of July. We are a young couple in our 20s and were slightly worried before going about all the reviews saying this is a hotel for older people... It isn't so do not let the reviews put you off. We went half board and usually swapped our dinner for lunch and walked into the resort centre (20mins lovely coastal walk) for dinner. The food here is the best I have ever experienced in a hotel with lots of options to suit everyone and all fres... Read more

Came here on our honeymoon, and given that we had stayed in an H10 before (In Tenerife), we requested to have a room overlooking the sea. This request was accommodated, and I would thoroughly recommend anyone to request it if possible, as the view towards Pechiguerra lighthouse is fabulous. We stayed on level 5, so we had minimal noise from wheelie cases, even though we had some noisy next door neighbours on the very last night (clearly from people who had never stayed anywhere with a shared wal... Me and my Fiancee have just come back from a 2 week holiday at the H10 Timanfaya. We arrived after a 45 min coach journey to a glass of Prosecco and a speedy and friendly check in. Our room 339 was lovely, clean and had a lovely view also a sun trap after 4pm. The hotel it self is large and spread out enough so you don't feel cramped within it but not so you are doing miny marathons everywhere. The food (Breakfast) is wide ranging with a proper english breakfast. Lunch is served in the main rest... Read more

We stayed at the Timanfaya for 2 weeks from the 17th July, and considering it is so big you never heard any noise or people talking loudly. It is such a beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds that are so well kept and clean. The food was to die for, such variation every night and the staff were so friendly and helpful. As it is a couple only hotel it is peaceful and relaxing with adequate entertaining for us - and speaking to other people who visit the hotel sometimes several times a year find the same. Timanfaya Palace is quite simply the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We've never been back to the same hotel twice but have already booked a return trip here for October! What makes this hotel so special is the staff - nothing is ever too much trouble for them, they are always happy which creates a wonderful atmosphere within the hotel. This is the second time my wife and I have visited timanfaya palace, with the difference that we decided to upgrade to a junior suite where previously we were in a standard room. The junior suite truly is executive by standard, with roomy open plan lounge area and bedroom, it is a pleasure to return to the room. The service is excellent as always and the standard of food is high. I will be happy to return again in future.
