Huge hotel, exceptionally clean, let down by a poor restaurant that was effectively self-service buffet. Not sure that I expect a hello from staff at the restaurant entrance and then be told "go find a table", I would expect to be shown to a table. No table rotation system, people walked past your table constantly, not a calm comfortable eating experience at all. Bars were ok, pools were freezing and entertainment was dire. We are used to cruise ships which we consider to 4/5 stars for everythin... Read more

We found this hotel to be very good with the staff being totally amazing. It was lovely to see that the staff and management all worked together and enjoyed what they were doing, it was especially lovely to see staff singing and dancing. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. All this added to a serenely relaxed atmosphere with no noise to disturb your relaxation. We had a room on the 5th floor (ground floor was 4th) and the views were superb. In front was the sea, to the right the little lighth... Read more

Stayed at Timanfaya Palace for the 2nd time this year from 26 April to 2 May, a massive improvement has been made in my opinion in the quality of food. Hotel staff friendly & helpfull as always and the hotel is kept spotlessly clean & tidy. A special thank you to Ahaloma who always greeted us with a friendly smile & handshake in the Restaurant each day, also to E Van D for allowing us to have a late room checkout on our last day. Definitely the best 4* Hotel in Playa Blanca

I always believe that there is no point in submitting a hotel review that does not truly and accurately reflect your experience. Having read some of the negative reviews submitted by previous guests my wife and I wondered what to expect. I guess that no hotel is going to suit everyone and I am well aware that people often have their own reasons for submitting poor reviews genuine or otherwise. So let me say right from the outset that in our view the Timanfaya Palace is one of the best adults o... Read more

We arrived from the airport just after 10pm to be greeted by friendly helpful staff and a very welcome glass of champagne and it got better! To our delight a cold meal plus drinks were waiting for us once we had settled in to our room. Our room however was a bit of a bit of a route march from reception, but on further investigation we cut across the pool area straight into the main block, just one flight of steps to the self service restaurant. This was our eighth visit to the Timanfaya and we look forward to going again next year. The staff are polite, nothing too much trouble for them and welcome you as old friends. The quality of our room and the view were excellent. Food variety, service and quality all as good as you would expect. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Nice walk down to the harbour or taxi ride for a few euros if you do not want to walk.

Stayed at this hotel for two weeks. The hotel is maintained very well, There are however some issues which I will list below 1. There was no shower mat in the bath and was very slippery. 2. We stayed on half board basis. At breakfast there was water and juices included At dinner however water was not included and they charge 2.40 euro for a 500 ml bottle of water. Water should be included for dinner . 3. Beware there are extra charges for a lot of things at this hotel. We had to pay for the... Read more

We have just returned from the Timanfaya Palace and as it was our sixth visit to this property it was even better. In particular there were two guys in the restaurant who really deserved praise because of their attitude and always very pleasant. Initial impressions are of a magnificent luxurious building, but this soon wears off. We were unfortunate to be placed to the left of the main building, as you face the sea, in a block with all the smells and sounds of the kitchen, from 6am onwards when the staff arrive. It was not pleasant. We had requested a room near my 84 year old mother; her room was two floors up, and miles away! Apparently nothing could be done to change this. It was going to be a matter of putting up with things. So, ... Read more

The General Manager was seen several times walking round his hotel, he always had time to stop and chat to you. Would i go back yes. Great Hotel.

I stayed at the H10 Timanfaya Palace for 7 nights from the 20th - 27th June 2016 with my boyfriend. I had known people that had been a few weeks prior to myself and that had advised that the ground level rooms are actually slightly below the ground level so before i went i emailed the hotel and requested to be from level 2 up. We were given a garden view room which we had paid for on level 2 room 232. Overall the room was lovely, the beds were massive and it was nicely decorated. I do agree wi... Read more

Arrived just before 10pm and were rushed by reception staff to go straight to the restaurant for some food. I found this quite stressful as we had literally 15 minutes to get sorted and we felt slightly 'travelled' and couldn't freshen up. Despite being privilege option guests, this did seem rather ridiculous. We would have happily settled for something light like cold meat and salad in our room - as so many other hotels do when you arrive late evening. When we got to the restaurant it was virtu... Just returned from our second visit to Timanfaya Palace, we stayed there two years ago & don't usually go to the same place twice so that, in itself, is a ringing endorsement! We booked a garden room through Thomson as it was the only option available when booking. We had previously stayed in a sea view room (435) on our previous visit & having read all the negative comments about garden rooms on here I was slightly tentative. In actual fact we were given room 164 which had an absolutely beautif... Read more

I visited the Timanfaya Palace in Easter holidays with my mum. On arrival we were offered a glass of bubbly whilst waiting to check in which was a lovely bonus! The reception has a beautiful Moroccan feel. We found our room and although it was a bit dark being below ground floor, it was very clean and spacious. The hotel has an amazing location, right out the back door is the sea and a short walk along to the beach and cafes/ restaurants of Playa Blanca. The hotel had a super selection for break... We stayed 10th-21st July and had a wonderful holiday. We arrived around 1pm and our room wasn't ready, which didn't worry us as it gave us a chance to have a wander round to let us see what we were in for! After enjoying a lunch at the pool bar we picked up the keys to our room - well it was a suite and was gorgeous, with 2balconies and beautiful sea views. The hotel is in a great location, near to a sandy beach with a promenade just outside the grounds which meanders alongside the coast for miles. Our room was gorgeous, it was on the 3rd floor, with a balcony and a sea-view. The bathroom was very nice indeed - all white tiled, clean and modern. The huge TV on the wall unusually had a few English channels (besides the news!)! There were 3 pools, 2 outdoor (which were very cold, which my husband favoured) and 1 indoor (lovely and warm). Great hotel, and great service from the staff; but to really make the most of your holiday you must go Privilege Superior if at all possible. This enables you to have a magnificent, fresh, quality breakfast, and a la carte dinner every night in the Kasbah restaurant. We had a really relaxing two week stay here at Timanfaya. The food is amazing, done to a very high standard and there really is something for everyone. Not your average all inclusive hotel, H10 Timanfaya is a cut above the rest. Food and drink were excellent, room was good. Not sure whether there is any benefit to upgrading to the privilege package. The main benefit would be being able to eat in the Kasbah restraunt for every meal. To be honest the service was variable to say the least. We have stayed at this hotel 4 times and intend to visit again next year. We stayed in the best room we have had so far with a superb view out to sea from the balcony. It reminded me of the balcony on a cruise ship. The food is excellent if you take advantage of the variety offered on the freshly cooked counter. I almost don't want to write a review of this hotel in case it becomes too popular! This is my 4th visit to Lanzarote (6th to the Canary isles) and this hotel beats the others hands down. The staff are wonderful - always happy and always eager to help. I badly sprained my ankle before coming on honeymoon, ending up in a wheelchair. We stayed at the Timanfaya a few times 20 to 30 years ago and so knew the good points - excellent location, layout, design, sea views, facilities, food, and service. However we were pleasantly surprised on this holiday by the upgrade to many of these by the refurbishment and change to Adults only status (nothing against kids, but when one looks after two grandchildren five days a week......!). Thank you Timanfaya for a very relaxing stress free top class stay. We will be back.
