The wife and I stayed here for 11 nights at the start of May. For what we paid we didn't expect a luxury All Inclusive and we weren't disappointed. The rooms are a decent size and clean. We had a double bed with a memory foam mattress and it was comfy enough when we'd got some extra pillows. Contrary to other reviews I'd say the staff were pretty miserable. Didn't interact with anyone and rarely cracked a smile - except with Spanish guests. The exception to this was the entertainments chap who ... Read more

We were a little concerned after reading some of the negative reviews, however we have just had a lovely week's holiday. The place does need a bit of refurbishment, but the apartments are spacious, scrupulously clean and equipped with two TVs. The staff are all very pleasant, and helpful giving the place a happy atmosphere. The food is varied and tries to please all the various nationalities. Most people were blue-banders ( all inclusive) and there was plenty of choice, the open kitchen sectio... Read more

We have just flown back from staying a few nights at the Rubimar and are already planning to come back next year. The rooms are lovely and big whilst being spotless. We overlooked the pool which was pleasant. There is a good choice of food and I particularly enjoyed Chinese night on Wednesday. The beer and wine is also good, not top quality but it's still value for the all inclusive package. The hotels location is perfect being right by the marina which has a good choice of bars and restaura... Read more

This was our first visit to the Rubimar though we have visited playa several times before and found the value for money was excellent at the Rubimar. we visited for a week on the 23rd of April. the rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were all friendly and very hard working especially the entertainment guy who catered to every ones needs. anything you asked was never to much trouble and we hope that he soon earns enough money to purchase the moto guzzi that he wants so bad. We arrived and noticed a few ants (but quite late) everything else looked OK and staff were polite. The next day we realised there was lots of ants coming in to the apartment. We called reception who said they would send someone to sort. Later that evening we arrived back to find ants on the beds, walls, table and kitchen. We called reception again and had no response and tried every 15-20 min until they offered us another room - we went to the other room to check (it was on a higher floor) bu... Read more

Stayed in this hotel in May/June 2016 and there are not a great deal of good things I can write about the place. It has the feel of a rundown, neglected council estate which is badly in need of an update/revamp. From the beat up old sun beds, the peeling paint, the 20 year old towels, the 70s style decor to the rusting/faded fixtures and fittings this ApartHotel cannot in anyone's imagination be described as 4 star. I could continue to list lots of other below standard stuff about this complex but y... Read more

The room was spacious, clean but with uncomfortable beds. We've stayed there for 5 days total and they've never taken the garbage out! They've never changed the towels too. They claimed they are changed every 4 days but after all they never did this for us. I am wondering why they call themselves a four star hotel. The staff was nice and helpful but that's it. The attitude towards cleaning is much worse that in many excellent budget hotels.

Could not fault this hotel. Spent a week here with my husband and 2 kids. We opted for the all inclusive choice and it was well worth the few extra euros. The room was spotless and was cleaned with fresh towels provided everyday. We ate at the hotel most evenings however just to mix it up we went to the marina which was just a short stroll away on a few occasions. A really beautiful part of the world and would definetly return to this hotel again.

Fab wee hotel/apts we were apprehensive reading reviews by others but it's a good value, no nonsense style of apts, AI Food tasty and plenty of it, ok the atmosphere and fancy dining is missing but good value and quality food having just spent 100Euro on a meal out to a mediocre restaurant it puts in prospective the value of the food that's here on tap! Service is a nice thing but quality of food is just as important!!! Rooms good, beds comfy everything u need is here it's not plush but perfectl... Read more

Just returned home from a 4 night stay at the Rubimar suite aparthotel! Staff - The staff at the hotel are fantastic and really hard workers working very long shifts! Food - the restaurant is very small, food is basic with not many options. I would say breakfast is the best (cereals, cooked breakfasts, pastries, rolls, jams, fruit, salad). Two of the nights they did a Chinese and Mexican theme. The deserts are nice! Drinks - drinks are good ( I drank the local branded amaretto and Malibu w... Read more

We arrived late at night and met with a warm greeting and they even laid food on for us even though restaurant long closed. Rooms were more than adequate. The staff were very friendly. The food was some of the best we have come across in an all inclusive. The drinks and snacks were of a reasonable standard. The pool was large and never crowed with plenty of sun beds for everyone. The location is ideal near to marina, shops, restaurants, beach and bars. The entertainment was limited but with so m... Read more

I really wanted to give this review a 3 star rating but couldn't considering this is supposed to be a 4 star rated accommodation. The rooms although tidy and spacious were unsatisfactory. This is because the beds only had one pillow per person and the pillows were flat and the mattress was uncomfortable. There was no dust pan etc in the apartment itself so if any glass or accidents happened there wouldn't be a safe way to tidy up. There is no free wifi unless you sit in reception. The wifi conne... I have just returned from two weeks stay at the rubimar,I went with my fiancé and my mum and dad. We had a fantastic stay. When we arrived at around 10pm we had a quick check in, there was a plated dinner for us all which was good. Our rooms were spacious and clean,we stayed in room 220 and 219 which looked onto the pool. The meals were really good breakfast scrambled, boiled and fried eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, cold meats, cheese, jam, bread, rolls, yoghurt, cereal fruit and more! Lunch p... Read more

Worst holiday ever, returned today, spending 10 days in this hell hole! My husband & I ate out most nights, as food inedible, however, breakfasts satisfactory, defeats the object of going all inclusive!! No way is this 4 star! More like 2 star!! Pool area never cleaned during our stay, no evening entertainment, drinks poured into plastic glasses every night at 10.45pm, couldn't open shower screen, consequently, my husband had to shower in out door showers adjacent to toilets, he has mobility pr... This was the worst hotel I have ever been to before. The only positive factor about this hotel was its quite large and ok looking rooms. Location - Not bad, Playa Blanca is a beautiful place where you will find many shops, restaurants, bars pubs whatever you want. At the hotel here is not a lot to do, especially at night time when there is no entertainment during weekends. So if you consider going there and staying at this hotel you have to take some more money with you if you do not want to g... Read more

Myself and my husband have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Rubimar, Playa Blanca. What a fantastic week the room (253) was fantastic and very spacious had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, I was a bit worried as I suffer with a bad back however I needn't have. The food was absolutely delicious from breakfast, lunch and dinner. The deserts were amazing. We stayed here for 3 nights, we arrived at 11 o'clock on Saturday evening and left our bags on and went to have a drink to find everything shut. So went to the restaurant as they had told us they had a cold dinner for us. There was a salad and a chicken leg. But we did get a bottle of water.!! Went back to our room which was honestly lovely. Spacious, clean, comfy beds. Yeah I really liked the rooms. Got up for breakfast... wasn't great but probably the best meal we had. We didn't enjoy the fo... Read more
