From the very first moment the hotel staff were as helpful as you will get anywhere, and the stay started with a welcome glass of Cava whilst they attended to the bags, so our three night anniversary celebration break started well. Things got better still when we saw that we had been given one of the few rooms with both a terrace and a hot tub (may well be worth requesting room 320 if you get the chance). The hotel is full of character and winding stairways (so be careful, this will not suit e... Read more

The offer of a drink as they process your check in was most appreciated. The service is impeccable and the staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. Your every need/wish is taken care of in the blink of an eye. The terrace bars on the rooftop are a must visit. We woke up on Sunday morning to the bells at the cathedral...fabulous way ... Read more

The staff are great, exactly what you'd expect of a 5 star hotel. From the valet parking, to the very accommodating check in process to the rooftop bar... The staff are this hotels Jewel in their crown. The actual hotel could've been amazing too. The design ideas are well thought out and the little touches such as Bang and Olufsen tv's and telephones in the rooms are a pointer to how the hotel should have turned out. Sadly left Seville this morning after a wonderful 3 night stay at the EME Cathedral Hotel. My family & I truly had a very enjoyable experience. The staff & service was exceptional. Also the location is unbelievable. When the reviews say it's opposite the Cathedral they really mean it. Would like to say a very big Thank You to all the staff that made our stay so special. It does have a great location across from the Cathedral. The terrace bar has an incredible view but drinks are very expensive. Our room, 211 was like a dungeon, no natural light. The decor is modern but sterile. Our shower had black mold and the room needed a thorough clean. They have tried for an ultra modern look but the workmanship and overall look was disappointing. Simple things like a walkway/bridge in the lobby with slats, impossible to pull luggage over. The restrooms in the lobby are di... Read more

The location is definitely the best in Sevilla. The hotel is located in a old lovely building. The beds are very comfy. However, this is not what I expected for the price we paid especially that this location is rated as a five stars hotel.

Extremely disappointed by the conduct & a real lack of compassion shown by the reservations team of the EME Catedral Hotel, Seville. On informing them that we were having to cancel our holiday which included 2 nights stay with them, they flatly refused to reimburse us a single penny or to provide even a credit value for a stay at a later date. Stopped in for a glass of wine on the roof top terrace. Great view of the cathedral and surrounding plazas. Their was only one other couple so it was very quiet. The wine was good but expensive (7‚?¨/glass). I see you can buy the wine in the stores for 5.33‚?¨/bottle.

I don't know if that's the way local people here talk, but at the front desk they're not really friendly. I understand that they may long hours or whatever reason, tourists pay a lot of money in this hotel because of the location and reviews, but if the front desk is not even friendly, we won't feel welcome here. I won't stay here again, ever.

Located directly opposite the Cathedral & surrounded by bars & restaurants of varying standards. Excellent choice to eat / drink. Quirky - built over two former houses so (at least) three lifts & numerous small sets of steps - three sets to access breakfast room, some rooms down 2/3 steps, dark in places. however the positive far, far outweigh the hotel's quirkiness. Location - excellent, ambiance - excellent (so much for a young persons hotel - I'm 68), staff (throughout (reception / bars / res... Read more

Lovely boutique hotel right in centre of Seville. Great location (opposite Cathederal), with a superb rooftop bar & restaurant. Stayed here 3 times now, & service has always been impeccable. Really comfortable rooms, with great beds & shower/bath facilities. Good choice of restaurants (if you decide to eat in), but really handy for sight seeing, bars, restaurants & shopping. Off site parking (valet service) really useful.

We were in Seville for a few days, and had been advised to try the bar. We were not staying in the hotel. If you want a good view of the Cathedral, especially at sundown, the rooftop bar is a lovely spot. BUT prices for drinks are relatively high compared to other bars. Fourteen euros for a small cocktail seemed quite pricey to me, and the staff, although very pleasant, were slow at serving us. If you don't mind the prices, good place to go.

The hotel is very very centrally located in sevilla. We had a junior suite with great views at the cathedral. The hotel is trendy and stylish, very very friendly staff, good breakfast and nice rooftop bar and pool. Our room was spacious and very comfortable untill we went to bed. The room is just below the rooftop bar so very noisy with people coming out of the elevator next to our room door and the music was prominent in our room till around 0100 o clock. Next morning we complained and were giv... Read more

We came to relax and enjoy a drink - didn't even know there was a rooftop bar until a staffer mentioned it. It's a little cramped & pricey and service can be slow, but it's friendly and the drinks & view are great!

The place is very close to the cathedral in the historic part of town and it offers beautiful views of the surrounding places. Very chilled vibe and quite spacious, but as all hotel rooftop bars in the world, it's quite expensive and full of tourists. I recommend stopping by for one cocktail in the evening for the spectacular view of the cathedral.

The best of all in this hotel are the roof top bar and the location, which could hardly been better! Room size was ok, a bit dark but very nice at first look... Then when you stay a bit inside and begin to use it, you realise it's a very, very cheap equipment, the shower was just turning into ruins, clogged bathtub, bad finitions... Definitely not a five stars hotel!!!! Then it's perfect if you're traveling with friends or couples, I wouldn't recommend it for a family, seniors and absolutely not... Read more

My fiancee and I were super impressed by the rooftop pool and bars, and loved our room. The design was clearly well thought out, and even though I don't typically love modern design I thought it was very tasteful. Also our room which was a standard room (one above the lowest tier) was quite large, with a tub and big shower with a very nice showerhead. The reason it's not five stars from my perspective is the disappointing service given what I thought would be a five-star, luxurious experience... Read more

We stayed here for one night for my husband's birthday weekend. We were given a lovely, clean, modern styled room (though it was very dark, as were a lot of areas in the hotel) that had a view of the cathedral. Check-in was friendly and efficient, with a tour of the hotel and its facilities. However, as for most city hotels, this one proved to be noisy at night, so we didn't get a good nights sleep. Breakfast buffet was reasonable, with a separate menu for eggs, which could be ordered on request... Read more

We stayed for two nights. The bedroom was very comfortable (and clean) with an amazing view of the cathedral and square next to it (room 203). Large bed and a bath and shower. Poor lighting made it hard to pack at night time and find things within a suitcase. Paintwork in the bathroom was chipped and the hotel was generally in need of a lick of paint. This included the rooftop pool which was extremely underwhelming and a disappointment. The location was exceptional and really contributed t... Read more

A bit an exaggerating welcome, the front desk is efficient and nice, then there's an introduction from an "experience manager" that goes a bit too long and extensive, too many information in too little time, an introduction to the room including explanation about the designer's purpose etc., finally when he left he took the card with the WiFi code away... WiFi is bad in room 225, maybe because this standard room is located in between two floors in an old part of the building; the room is very s... Read more

EME Catedral Hotel is a nice and cosy hotel situated cross the street of the famos Catedral in Sevilla. Where you will find the sarcophagus of Cristobal Columbus, A visit to the Real Alcazàr de Sevilla is highly recommended. All trade with the new world (America) was controlled by the trade-chamber situated in Alcazàr.

The staff were asked 4 times to turn the music down in the rooftop bar area over 3 separate nights. They seemed indifferent to the loud noise and on one occasion turned the volume up after our complaint. Do not stay here if you value your sleep

The location of this hotel is easily the best attribute, being just opposite the cathedral and a stones throw to tons of shopping and food options. We stayed here for three nights in November, but outside of the location - found that the hotel didn't quite meet the expectations of the price tag. The hotel was clean, but rooms are terribly dark and seemed to forget many of the obligatory items that make hotels liveable. There are very few spare power points, requiring you to charge the phone in ... Read more

The hotel is located directly opposite the Cathedral in central Sevilla. We arrived by car and were welcomed efficiently by the concierge staff. Parking is ‚?¨30 per night and there is no real alternative in the surrounding area. As with many aspiring quality hotels we were greeted by a member of the management who sorted out the logistics and gave us a tour of the hotel and showed us to our room. The room is a modern conversion in an ancient building so some design compromises have been made. T... Read more
