I am 60 and i was certainly one of the youngest in this hotel.I was the only the british person staying there that week. The staff were very helpful and the room was lovely and clean. I found the food to be excellent both at breakfast and dinner. A five minute walk to the shopping mall and burra beach. The sunbeds at the hotel are really uncomfortable, rock hard,no mattress and not adjustable. The bar (not really a bar at all) closes at 9pm! As i was a solo traveller and dident want to ventur... This Hotel,is in such a good location, all the rooms face towards the pool area which includes a separate pool for children away from the main swimming pool, and from floor level 4 you have views of the sea. A quiet area, but not far (5mins walk) from the shopping centre, a short walk through the park gets you there. The hotel is a bit on the old side, but very clean, each room has a kitchenette which has a fridge and 2 ring hob, we found this very useful for making lunch. The staff at this hot... Read more

Just arrived back from a 10 night stay at this hotel. We got to the Hotel and was given room 103 which was a very good size room, our party was 2 adults and a 5 year old. The room had a balcony which had access to steps to pool area also, the room and hotel we found to be very clean and tidy. The hotels maintenance guy was always working keeping the area clean and tidy, even cleaned out childs pool while my lad was in there as there were a few leafs that had fallen in during the day. My husband and I stayed at the hotel 5 days and had really great time . The room was spot on , with modern furniture , bathroom clean and tidy and the hotel itself is nice. The best thing is the staff on front desk , at the bar and in the restaurant are first class. Value for money. Hotel close to the beach. We will certainly use this hotel again.

We are currently staying in this resort in room 710 this is a 3 star but with a 5 star service. We saw the reviews before arriving and made our own minds up after a few days stayin at folias and can't understand the bad reviews as food is excellent and staff so helpful and friendly. I've been coming to gran canaries for years and been in 5 stars hotels but never experienced staff and service so good and plan to spend many more times here.

We returned from this hotel yesterday. Firstly, the staff on reception were excellent - special thanks to Mia, Juan and Maria for being so helpful. We decided to sample the Hoppa bus service for our transport from the airport to the hotel and back. This cost us under 16 Euros return and was very prompt and efficient on both trips. Our room was kept clean and tidy by our maid Elisabet, who was lovely. Our fridge was very efficient and the bed linen was always crisp and clean. Plenty of towe... Read more

I'm writing this as we sat by the pool awaiting our transfer coach back to the airport. First of let me say this hotel is great value for money! It may only be a 3 star, but you get 5 star service. The staff are very friendly and speak various languages. We arrived late due to our plane being sat on the runway at Bournemouth whilst they were trying to fix a toilet (thanks Thomson) once we arrived, they informed us dinner had stopped. We did expect that as was arrived round 22:30. However they sa... Read more

The hotel is basic but clean and friendly staff. We paid for breakfast on 2 occasions (6 euro each) as we were self catering. Nice pool and beach just 5 mins away. 2 sun beds and brolly on beaches all seemed to be same price 3 euro each. We hired car from airport and travelled every day. Think we would have found it too boring to be in same place every day. The roads are all good and easy to drive on.

Never been on a AI holiday before. After reading the reviews thought this hotel would be ok as they stated it been recently renovated, we quickly dropped off bags in room as restaurant had 40 mins before closing. The food was limited and dry but we put this down to nearly closing. The next two days, the food was the same! Dry! The bread rolls were stale, the fresh fruit was soft, one of the hot drinks machines were out of order & the third day the second hot drinks machine wasnt working properly.... Read more

Read a lot of reviews on this hotel but I'm so glad I booked it, just got back from a great holiday 10th to 19th July stayed in room 610.... This is classed as a three star hotel so let's base my opinion on that fact! I was tempted to go for 4 out of 5 for this hotel as there is one thing that lets it down but the overall experience and 4 star service from all staff not to mention it been a three star is worth 5 out of 5... The room was great a large twin room with a very big shower, toilet,... Read more

The hotel was better than I expected. Room was clean and spacious, with small kitchen. It has anything you need, fridge, air conditioning, utensils and a nice balcony. Pool is nice and warm, can get warm up to 29 degrees. The food was almost the same every day, pork, chicken, fish, soups, cakes, ice cream. I was a bit disappointed because they didn't have any sea food, but the food was tasty. The hotel was very close to the beach, shopping centre and public transport like 5 minutes walkin... Read more

It is a very nice hotel with a nice and friendly staff on all levels. Good food, plenty to choose from. 5 min walk to the beach which is very nice and spacious. The hotel is easy to find if you take a bus from the airport (‚?¨3.50 per person) as you can see it from the road. AC in the room. Got a room at 0 level which was right by the pool and it meant less privacy so asked for a different room. Got a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony and a nice ocean view (cost ‚?¨20 extra and depends on a... Read more

Good holiday, friendly hotel staff, good accommodation and in a nice quiet location. Only criticism would be that the pool bar could stay open later as going up to the second floor to the restaurant to get drinks in the evening was long, lunch tended to be the best meal of the day, breakfast could've had better bacon and dinner seemed disappointing, but me or my Mrs didn't have to take any Imodium that we packed so not all bad. Was happy with what we paid.

We stayed for 11 nights 12/7/16-23/7/16. On arrival the reception floor was being being retiled & thought nothing of it. We were in room 101 which was a fantastic size, clean & nothing to complain about. UNTIL, we realised that we were underneath the reception & the restaurant. It was pretty noisy between the new floor being tiled and the wooden floor of the restaurant. The final straw for us was that the cleaners congregated in our corridor at 730am and talked talked & talked. We asked to be mo... Read more

Hotel was clean, pool great and staff all first class. Food could be better for Brittish tastes. Good breakfast choice with lunch and dinner a bit hit and miss for our taste. Pool bar snacks a bit limited but always good service. We were in 715 and it was a great room. Would ask for this room on going back. Good value for money if you want a restful holiday.

We went there at the end of the March as we we're looking for some spring break in hot weather and obviously for cheap money. We just really needed some basic hotel or apartment, we found Folias were we stayed 6 nights. The Folis aparthotel IS NOT IN MASPALOMAS, but you can walk which takes about 30 minutes. Don't expect luxury hotel, but for that money is more than perfect. Our room was clean and tidy and clear turned up also every day. We were happy with that as the hotel has the swimming pool... If you want entertainment you had to go to playa de Ingles which is about 30 minutes walk. St Augustin is a quiet place. The big island tour was excellent also terror market we were there where there was a festival.Mogan is very pretty also.

We had a lovely stay. A week all inclusive I was limited on what I could eat as I have a lot of allergies but my friends enjoyed the food. The staff were lovely. The only downfall was that we paid for wifi and we stayed on the 7th floor where the wifi wouldn't connect and the lift stops working when it wants to. My friends actually got stuck inside the lift on one occasion but he staff were amazing at this time in getting them out safely. Thank you for a lovely holiday all in all though!!

Me and my partner stayed here for a week and in that week had our bedding changed once and towels just 3 times in exchange for apparently clean towels but they smelled mouldy. The breakfast was the same every morning and the bacon was disgusting the dinners were ok but very similar every night. Very limited drinks beer, vodka, Malibu all cheap makes of course and cocktails wouldn't even bother ū???On the plus side the staff were nice but probably wouldn't stay here again ū???

Rooms dated but clean and towels changed every other day. Pool area exceptionally well maintained and always plenty of sun beds. Pathway leading directly to a clean and quiet beach.

The good points - it's clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, the views are great, the all inclusive drinks are good and the pool area is lovely. The bad points- the room was tiny and shabby, the bed hard and uncomfortable. The buffet restaurant was always clean but the food was dreadful and definitely not suited to British tastes. The selections were limited and poorly cooked. I like foods from all over the world but struggled to find anything edible let alone tasty. There was only one b... Read more
