A lot of reviews said bring a kettle as it wasn't provided so we did. We have a lovely stay and the location is perfect for shops, restaurants and beach as well as a base for travelling around the island. One evening on our return from exploring the island we had quick showers before going out. The shower is in the bath which is typical for hotels so it was not a problem. I was second to shower so the bath was wet. As I climbed in my foot slipped on the wet bath and I fell into the bath hitting... Read more

From the outside you think "omg!" Don't let the outside put you off, it's a great hotel. This hotel is in a brilliant location, the room was cleaned everyday, clean towels and sheets! It is a 3 star hotel and if you don't expect luxury, you won't be disappointed! I wasn't sure what to expect as there have been mixed reviews, I thought it was fabby! I Can't tell you what the food was like, as we had room only. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The staff are very friendly and ext... Read more

For the price this hotel is super. The outside doesn't do it justice. Our room on the 6th floor was very spacious with comfortable beds and plenty of storage. The bathroom was nicely decorated and there was always plenty hot water and the shower gels, shampoo and soap were replaced frequently. The cleaning was good but we did not have our sheets changed for the whole week. Towels were changed every couple of days. We had a small balcony not a pool view but sunny in the afternoons. This hotel is nothing sort of amazing, especially when you factor in the amount you pay! I booked in for 7 days with bed and breakfast, I booked for the cheapest possible rate, expecting a tiny room, but what I got was spectacular! Big room with tasteful finishes, a huge bed and a balcony! My room was cleaned every day, and fresh sheets and towels at least 3 times over the course of my stay. The only criticisms can give this place is that the breakfast was a bit sparse (cold cuts toast yoghurt... Read more

Myself and my Fiancé stayed here for a week at the end of January. We were a bit skeptical at first but I'm so glad we booked this hotel. The hotel is actually very big. There's a bar, a restraunt, and entertainment area, a pool and a bar at the pool. Our room was of a good size with a nice balcony space. We were on the 3rd floor. Our room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were given each time. The room was basic but comfortable but at the end of the day you're not there to spend all day and n... Read more

Stayed here for 9 nights and 10 days in early June. It was myself and my girlfriend (20 and 19 years old). From the outside it doesn't look very much like a hotel as it is later out like a shop in the street, but when you walk in there is a lovely lobby area with bar, seats, and pool table. We were surprised at the size of the room. We booked a double room, and the bed was big, although it was just two single beds pushed together. The balcony didn't have the greatest views but was a good size. T... Read more

Stayed for a week in January. 2 couples. Half board basis. I knew the hotel as I used to live on n Tenerife. Room was adequate and food was good. Buffet style breakfast and dinner. We hired a car, and the hotel has its own small car park. It cost ?35 for the week. Well worth it as parking in Puerto de la Cruz is at a premium. The only downside was there was no entertainment in the hotel, and the bar was frequently without a barman. However plenty of bars and entertainment nearby. I would certa... Read more

We stayed here late June for 10 days, on our first night we were delayed and we didn't get to the hotel till gone 2am yet the reception guy was very polite and got us to our room promptly. All the reception staff were very polite and always have you a 'Hola' when you passed them. My boyfriend and I have just returned from a week away in Puerto De La Cruz. The hotel was lovely. We were dropped off at around 1am on a dark and quiet street lined with what looked like corner shops and a sign labelled Xibana Hotel at the end of the street - don't let the exterior fool you as when we entered the hotel it opened up into a well lit and spacious lobby. The hotel was clean and all the staff were very helpful. Admittedly when we were dropped off here we thought we were in the middle of nowhere but you are actually very close just turn left or right out of the reception and onto the next street along and you are on the outskirts of all bars and restaurants. A special mention to aromas who had just opened (we were the first ever customers!) who make an excellent mojito turn left and take your first right to get there!

For the price we paid (which was not very much)in comparison to other hotels in the area, I can not fault this hotel. Our bedroom was cleaned daily and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom always had hot water and the free toiletries provided by the hotel added a nice little touch. Refurbishment currently underway so not all rooms occupied. So hotel not crowded. Smallish but good choice of food. Most comparable hotels have a fairly indifferent wine list with many wines rather poor. All wines here are good and fairly priced. Nice pool with bar. Own car park for a small fee - particularly good compared with driving around for 20 minutes looking for a space and then 15 minute walk back to the hotel. Staff very friendly.
