Nice resort, just outside Palma it has it's own personality a bit quieter than the city. As everyone mentions the location is great you can be back in the hotel from the beach in five minutes and around 15 from the airport. Immediately outside the front of the hotel are shops and restaurants. More on the way to the beach.Handy for cash machines and cold drinks. We did not venture out too far at night, apart from a stroll along the seafront, although obviously there is nightlife if you want it. Stayed at the whale beach for a four day break. What a great location! 50 m from beach and right on the doorstep of lively bars and restraunts. The hotel whalabeach has an indoor pool and a fantastic roof top pool with bar and loungers also with a view to die for looking out over the sweeping bay. Rooms are quite large and modern, hot buffet breakfast provided and there is a large reception/bar area. Staff are wonderful and very helpful. Our experience here was a mixture of good and bad. When we first walked in to the hotel to check in, the receptionist was not very welcoming at all. Even though she could clearly see that I was struggling to get Internet on my phone (because wifi costs ?10 p/p for 24hrs!) she still insisted on me sending the confirmation email to her in order for her to print out. After an hour of trying to set up data on my phone (it worked out cheaper to buy data from my network provider) the male receptioni... Read more

We were in Mallorca to do a bit of sightseeing and see palma city and this hotel was fantastic for that purpose. Well positioned near the beach and easy to get around the island from the resort. Plenty of bars around to get a few drinks and things to eat too. Rooms good and staff very helpful.

Booked a very last minute holiday with a friend, we like beach and shopping so this was a good'n. The hotel was clean and staff friendly, breakfast was ace hot or cold with fruit, only booked in for breakfast so we could ring the changes for dinner. Massive sandy beach, with the amazing weather everyday we went home bronzed beauties. We also used the sun terrace and some evenings had it to ourselves. We booked this holiday through Easyjet holidays and wasn't quite sure what to expect. But I must say it was an excellent resort and the Whala Beach was central to everything. Even the trip from the airport only took 10mins. The room was cleaned daily and the food was second to none and would have quite happily paid for it if we weren't all inclusive. The staff was very nice and helpful. There is a terrace on the roof with lovely views over the marina and the view over the bay to Palma to sit and... Read more

Hotel is in good location next to beach. Ask for higher level room at rest if you want less noise at night. Located in slighter quie... Read more

We were there on B/B basis as we like to eat out in local tavernas. The breakfast buffet style meal was a good one, so most lunch's were later and lighter than usual. Our room was big enough for two ladies with two lots of too big suitcases. Views out from our balcony was on the beach side so it's a relaxing sea and palm tree picture that never got boring. Travelled with 3 other girlfriends and we had 2 rooms between us. Rooms were big enough for 2 and were nice and clean and quite modern. We were on a little break away from home and hoping for a suntan and a few drinks at night and this hotel did us great. The local beach is very close to the hotel and there's no problem finding somewhere to eat. Reception staff were nice with us and we thought this hotel was a good deal and were very happy here and for sure we'd use it again.

Excellent the staff were all friendly. Clean and spacious room. Beach was lovely, very close to hotel always beds and kept clean. The mini market down the road was the cheapest place to buy extras. Not too far to walk around the town centre and transport into Palma was easy. We came for a beach holiday, so it was really more of a base for us.We were out every night as there is so much to do. This is a decent hotel. We had a room with a sea view which was lovey. The hotel was kept clean. I quite like Jose the bar tender, but the hotel had no entertainment with the roof top terrace going to waste in my opinion...The area is predominately German or Dutch with many venues catering to this. Megapark, catering to Germans, was an experience to say the least! At night though, after 12, presents a more LDN club vibe upstairs. Actually swam in the sea, saw some tiny fish, only way to cool off after sitting in the sun. Others at the hotel were younger than us, very friendly we were never short of someone to chat with. Stayed bed and breakfast, this was a last minute beach babes holiday bargain, chuffed we found it, it's a great little place.

We stayed here in May for my husband 50th birthday. Clean and very ikea like. We went all inclusive- breakfast was disorganised and one morning we sat on broken chairs. The occupancy did not fit breakfast. We had great weather and found the terraces with new brollies and sun beds empty - this was fab for us as there were 4 of us on this trip. Would not recommend for a week but for a few days good budget hotel.
