We travelled here for a late season holiday on the 12th October. This was our first trip away without our son, so was somewhat unusual to be just a couple again! We really enjoyed the hotel and would certainly stay here again. The standard rooms are a little small, but wasn't really an issue for us. The only things which tended to let it down was the food, breakfast was fine, but lunch and evening meals weren't great. We found ourselves eating out most evenings as the menu wasn't to our tastes ... Read more

I wouldn't go to this hotel again. We had no issues with the staff/beds/cleanliness or food however it feels like this hotel has been airlifted into an appropriate area of space. It is totally hemmed in. The hotel next door is in very close proximity to the rooms and there would be no privacy had it been open. The fact that it was closed caused enormous noise problems from the builders from Monday to Friday with no chance of a sleep in. There were a couple of occasions when falling debris made... Read more

We booked our holiday for one week , when we arrived we were told we had to stay at torre azul hotel for two nights as there was a problem with the water , a bit disappointed at first,, we then went back to Mediterranean bay hotel on Monday & found Jamie on receptionist was very arrogant & rude which put a downer on our holiday,, we tried our best to enjoy the rest of our stay,,, the cleaners were very friendly also the waiters, waitresses & bar staff too,, a very clean well kept hotel the foo... We got back from this hotel last sat and don't think we will be returning. We went away for a relaxing week but the rock hard beds made it very difficult to have a good nights. And after talking to several guests. It seems to be a major issue. Very noisy with the building work going on next door. Could hardly hear ourselves think when sitting by pool area. Food was so so. Plenty of over cooked meat. Was fed up of chicken and pork and ate out a few times even tho we were all inclusive. The poo... Read more

Having just today returned from this hotel , i felt the urgent need to warn other people !!! Unless you like a hotel on a busy road (junction) & now constant building works October 2016 onwards, a hotel with paper thin walls and a resort that is so run down it makes it feel like a third world country ! The only saving grace was we only booked a week !!! Right from booking in at reception DAY 1- we were hit with the hard sell and the offer to upgrade our room, after we viewed both rooms neither w... The best thing I can say about the hotel is that the majority of staff were really nice and helpful, so it is such a shame that the hotel itself was poor. The best thing about the room was that the shower was fantastic and the room was clean on arrival....... that is where it ends, When we checked in the first thing was we were presented with a 23euro tax bill to pay immediately or we would not be allowed to stay. If you want a safe you pay an additional 3euros a night for the privilege. ... Read more

Just arrived home from a great week at the Mediterranean bay. We arrived at around 10am to be welcomed by Ana on the reception who was lovely. She said we could check in around an hours time but let us store our luggage. We just got changed & went for a wee stroll to get our bearings. When we returned we got our room key. However it was to the side where they are doing some building work. A bit disapointed by the view so we went back down & asked what else was available. Got the chance to upgrad... Read more

First the positives: lovely shower. Lovely Daniel barman. Salads and bread good. Negatives: where do I start? A grade Non star hotel. We were a target from day one. Food cold and disgusting. Bed was like sleeping on a morgue slab. Next door was a deralict hotel being worked upon, so noisy constantly, metal crashing, drilling noise etc. You couldn't swim, pool so Baltic, cold! But the worst was a 'waitor' or 'worker' called David. Absolutely the worst person I've ever come across. Hideous. Obno... Read more

Admittedly we were worried upon reading some of the reviews. However, we left our things out of the safe like our passports and electronical devices which weren't taken or moved so it's a very secure hotel. Safe hire is available if you wish I think for ‚?¨21. However, just a few bad points before I move onto some more good points. If you're a light sleeper like myself and need perfect silence then this may not be the hotel for you. The room next to us were some extremely loud Germans. We heard... Read more

Although not on promenade location is fine. Decor is up to date and hotel feels new and modern. Excellent shower and simple stylish restaurant. Good selection of food well cooked. Staff very helpful. Not pushing trips but advised us when we asked for details of buses and our planned trip. El Arenal has an amazing promenade with cycle lane all way to Palma cathedral which puts other countries cycling efforts to shame. The Germans know a good thing and have latched onto excellent cycling holidays... Read more
