The staff at this hotel are amazing, nothing is too much trouble, there is always a smile to be given, the spoken English was first class. We have never done a short break before and now that we have would thoroughly recommend it :) Choosing this resort was a key part to our overall satisfaction as the flight time is so reasonable. The weather was warm at all times, a mixture of sun and cloud. There is plenty to do in this resort and the beaches are to die for! The city of Palma is amazing, you ... Read more

We have just spent a wonderful 10 days at this hotel. We upgraded to a superior room and it was well worth it for the lovely furnishing and great shower. The food was always nicely displayed, constantly replenished and lots of choice. We could not fault the cleanliness in all areas. Lastly and most importantly the staff were always helpful and friendly. We have already booked our next stay !!

This hotel is almost perfect, the location is perfect, just 5 minutes from the airport. The staff are perfect and do their best to make your stay a happy one. But the food is NOT what we would expect from a 4* hotel. Don't get me wrong there was always something to find BUT the QUALITY was not there. Our room was perfect with a pool and sea view, full size bathroom and plenty of storage space. The hotel pools, yes pools looked lovely but the outside 2 were too cold to use this time of year. Just returned from staying at the THB El Cid where we went Bed & Breakfast, Our hotel room was very spacious and had more than enough wardrobe and drawer space. The only down fall was that there was no tea & coffee making facilities in the room. There was a fridge and digital safe-for which you paid 6 euros deposit and 2.50 euros per day. The room was cleaned every day and towels changed daily. The hotel is in a prime location with a large number of restaurants nearby. There is a bus stop l... Read more

So close to the airport - take bus 15 and you're left off right next to the hotel - staff are lovely - buffet breakfast & dinner, plenty of choice - room was overlooking the beach with balcony - TV & fridge, plenty of storage - bathroom was spacious & shower was great- if I was staying longer I would have tried the spa - prices appeared reasonable - free wifi was a big bonus - only downside for me personally & it is becoming more frequent with a lot of hotels even 4 seasons in London, is no tea/... The rooms are very spacious and the balcony with sea view makes the room even more beautyful. There is a lot of choise of food on the buffet. But less choise and more quality would be better. Most of the staff is very friendly (especialy the lady who takes care of your coffee in the morning), but some employees can respond very unfriendly. The two swimming pools are a big plus.

The rooms are partly renovated and the people who work in El Cid are fantastic. Top service, price/quality rate is perfect and the hotel is close to the airport. As well as breakfast and dinner buffet are luxurous. Wifi is free and actually continiuously good.

when we arrived at night the room we were given was hideous, so small with 3 small beds crammed together we couldn't even unpack our suitcases - me, my husband and 8 year old son felt like sardines. We were planted on the 4th floor when I had specifically requested room no higher than 2nd floor. I complained to reception that this was NOT what we booked. They said they can do nothing but someone booking out the next day and we can have their room. This room was a side sea view but we didn't ha... Read more

Room with no characters where you can distinctly hear the water falls from other bedroom, dinner place like a garage...if you wish a bit of charm, keep away. The pools are ok , and you are 10 min qway from the airport and its noise.... Does not seem too appealing ? Was not indeed

I stayed at this hotel with my mum and my toddler and we enjoyed it again. We had a side sea view and could watch the planes coming and going but no noise from the planes once the balcony door was closed at night. Room was clean and well looked after, not overly big but enough to be comfortable. We stayed on a half board basis and even though the food was definitely catering for the German guests we always got something fresh and tasty to eat. In particular the breakfast was delicious with lot... Read more

Just back from El Cid, I had looked at this hotel many times when I had been in resort on previous holidays, I am so glad I decided to go there this year, it was an absolute pleasure from start to finish, check in staff at reception were fabulous, restaurant staff were all great, bar staff were friendly, ladies who cleaned the rooms were always smiling when I saw them. The hotel surpassed my expectations big time. Well done El Cid. I will definitely go back to this hotel. thank you for a wonderf... Read more

I was there with my mum and sis. At the first sight, everything was wonderful. The hotel is pretty nice inside and outside too, the beach is very close, the pools are ok, the staff's english is hardly understandable, and sometimes they didn't want to speak in english, or they just don't speak english, which is a really big problem in that place, where there are a lot of tourists... but we made it somehow. And the food... There were a lot of kind of food, fruit and good wine for every dinner, but... Read more

Picked this hotel "blind".... just needed two single rooms for a short break.... probably couldn't have done better. Late flight meant that we had no idea about the local area until sun-up.... when, looking out from our side street balconies we could still see the sea... and the one pool at the back of the hotel... we had chosen well!! The staff are all very helpful.... the hotel is spotlessly clean... the beds are comfortable enough.... aircon in the rooms is ok.... but the bedrooms could pro... Read more

This place is really clean. We had a junior suite and it was lovely. The moment you walk in you feel welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble......until you go to the restaurant. Breakfast was good but that is free. If you pay for half board you will regret it. Awful and I will generally eat anything. Wine waiters were great as was Eva or poured the coffee. She was amazing but the other girls were rude as were the chefs. No napkins when they served ribs and chicken, both you eat with your fingers!... Read more

The rooms are clean and cozy. The bed was on the firm side, but thatâ??s how i like it and i slept great every nice. Try to get a room at the front of the hotel which as they have a view both over the pool and the beach which is situated about 100m away. The staff are very friendly and will help you if needed. Eva especially was delightful and it was great to see her smile in the morning for breakfast (making the coffee and tea) and in the evening when she was giving snacks and drinks out on the... I have been going to the el cid hotel for 5 years now and my wife's family have been going for 30 years. I have heard its going to be adult only which is a massive shame and our kids even cried. Please don't do this!!!! The best thing about the hotel is the friendly staff. They are amazing and cannot be faulted. The food is excellent and location is perfect. The only down sides are the rooms need to be modernised and you need to stop the locals from using the pool. They take over and become a r... Read more

Great location close by to one of the beaches and about 20mins drive into the centre. Breakfast was poor, not worth including in the package as there are close by restaurants everywhere in this area. The quality of service was poor. Our room was not cleaned for one of the nights we stayed and some staff were not that helpful and the service is really slow as there is only one person in reception most times, so if someone is checking in (which is a long process) you have to wait a while before be... Very well positioned near beach, local pubs and shops, close to the bus station (no. 25 express, 5-10 min to Palma de Mallorca) and within walking distance to Aquarium. Very good food, we had half-board and there was a lot of food, including fresh fruits, fresh fish & seafood, sweets, vegetables, cooked meals. It is true that we were present in the restaurant at the start of breakfast/dinner program so we could find everything. Our room was standard (not superior) and it was a little bit outdate...
