Hotel Costa Azul is centrally located, modern and well managed. Beware however of standard rooms - the one we got was tiny and we had to upgrade to a premium room on the 5th floor. Avoid sea view rooms on 3rd floor as they look out onto pool area and lack privacy. Evening restaurants are good in Fabrica area (15 mins walk) and best here is Michele Caporale restaurant. Our best meal overall was in Peix Vermell on Calle Sant Feliu (Hake a la Majorca). Best for lunches are the cafes around Pl Llot... Read more

We'd visited years ago when this was a 3-star hotel with poor soundproofing and very noisy motorbikes on the main road all night. Now a 4-star, it's very finely updated, and rooms at the front have double sliding doors to their balconies which is a vast improvement. We were not kept awake by the bikes at night, though from the balcony it can be noisy. Room size was very good, with all expected facilities (though no tea-coffee making facilities unless you hire a kettle). Breakfasts were excellent... Read more

Hotel Costa Azul is located centrally in Palma overlooking the marina. It is a modern hotel with with excellent facilities. It is only a 10-15 minute walk to the Cathedral and is surrounded bu numerous restaurants, cafes and bars. This hotel will appeal to couples of all ages and not so much for young families. Rooms are spacious and rooms overlooking the marina have a good size balcony. The pool is a little small but there is an excellent terrace for sun bathing. Wifi is hopeless.

Fantastic location for all the sights , lovely views of Palma cathedral and the harbour from the balconys and terrace . Staff were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble for them . Clean comfortable and well appointed rooms , worth upgrading to a superior room. Cannot fault this hotel and I look forward to returning soon .

Stayed with a friend for a short 3 night break. Great location for exploring Palma, (we made use of a 2 day ticket for the open-top city tour bus) but also there are plenty of good bars and restaurants within just a very short walk of the hotel, especially along the Marina. Our twin bedded room was faultless , and extremely quiet given that it was at the front on the 1st floor, just above the busy road. Speaking of which, it would be better if the outside tables were screened from the traffic. T... Read more

This is a clean modern hotel on the waterfront. We had a 'premium' room which overlooked the port, had a kettle and useful USB point . If you like a good breakfast it's worth paying the 14 euros for freshly cooked eggs and bacon to order, crispy bread ( including brown) and range of fresh fruit. Only the orange juice ( not the real thing - posh squash?) let it down a little. The location was great- you could watch the giant cruise ships, luxury yachts and the odd fishing boat coming in and ... Read more

Stayed here for 5 nights with a friend (both in our early thirties) we opted for the premium room with the sea view and it was pretty spectacular. Balcony was a really good size too. The room itself was very smart and modern, refreshed everyday and the fridge restocked with bottled water. I've seen people comment on the noise from the road but I personally didn't find this a problem and all the hotels looking over the harbour will suffer this. The sun deck is a decent size and the service there... Read more

Room was excellent and can't complain about any aspects of it, cleaned every day, fresh towels and complimentary water and juice replaced in the fridge every day. Bottle of wine on arrival is a lovely touch. All staff were friendly and helpful, check in is a simple process. Stayed at the Costa Azul for a two night short break with my daughters aged 16 and 21. Really good location within a short walk to the centre of Palma. We had a spacious and clean family room with 3 single and comfortable beds. Loads of room and hanging space, loved the massive shower. Although we were at the front of the hotel, the double doors shut out all of the traffic noise and the view of the harbour was amazing. I have travelled the globe, over 80 countries. I can truly say that I have never had such a wonderful view, for those that love the sea, and maritime life. It is well situated in the city, with many restaurants and sites to see near the hotel. The pool bar service (namely Diego) was outstanding. He helped us to enjoy the pool that much more. Thanks Diego.

Rooms were bright airy and well decorated. Free juice and water were given - nice touch. The room could have had tea and coffee making facilities - a kettle could be hired for 5 euro. The pool area was relaxing although the pool is only a plunge pool size. Good location and great views of the harbour.

Not long back from this lovely hotel. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food. We had the top floor suite with the wrap around balcony. With its own table and chairs and loungers. So we didn't really use the pool area much. When we did you could always get a lounger. The views from the hotel are beautiful. The cocktails are delicious. Waiter service. One and only negative : it's very noisy out the front of the hotel. 6 lanes of traffic. Wouldn't stop me going again.
