Last december my wife and I had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. We had a spacious, comfortable room with a well appointed bathroom. The entire hotel was spotless, and served an excellent breakfast. Many thanks to the staff who were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

My wife spoilt me with a three night break. We were collected from the airport and driven to Palma, a short 15min drive. The Hotel is situated up a very narrow street and not obviously recognisable from the exterior. Once inside the wow factor starts to hit you, very beautiful architecture and renovated with excellent taste. The staff are excellent very helpful and friendly. One week spent at the Hotel Convent de la Missio was extremely pleasant. The hotel has been very stylishly converted and despite the central position in the old section of Palma, it is very peaceful. The staff are excellent, very helpful, informative, and good humoured. They made us feel very welcome, and their fluency in a number of languages was impressive. The hotel, with its celebrated restaurant, â??Simply Foshâ??, is rising in popularity, so it might be a good idea for the management to h... Read more

From the moment we were warmly and enthusiastically welcomed into this hotel I knew I would love it. Esther one of the receptionists sat us down and 20 minutes later we had detailed information on the hotel's history and its facilities. Nothing seemed too much trouble and we were upgraded to a junior suite which was a lovely surprise. The room was light and airy and large with a bath in the centre of the room which I don't like much but the comfort of the bed made up for that! Very central and u... Read more

We arrived at 15 minutes past midnight and we had a very warm welcome at the hotel. This hotel is well positioned, and the room was very quiet. All the staff that we met were extremely professional and friendly. Breakfast was included in our rate and the buffet offered an excellent selection of food which was continually replenished. We had Avery enjoyable stay. The reason that I have only rated the hotel 4 stars is purely because of the bathroom in the hotel. The rooms are well furnished, mod... Read more

Down a very narrow street in the old town, from the outside the hotel is unprepossessing. But as soon as you're inside, it's a Tardis! Brilliant decor, with very interesting art (particularly in the bar). Reception ladies are a delight...aside from being pretty and elegant, they have immense charm and encylopaedic knowledge. Our room was terrific, but understated, and of course, in the warren of streets I doubt if anyone has a view. There is a small pool on the roof, with ergonomically-horrible ... Read more

The most important shopping streets, alleys as well as the area where you will find many restaurants â?? all are within a few minutesâ?? walk. What needs special mention is the team who runs the hotel. Rarely have we encountered such cheerful, helpful staff. The people working at the front office are a delight to meet and deal with. Excellent and friendly service from the front desk with a special shout out to Daniel and Fernando for their friendly, attentive and kind service and to Esther for her ebullient positive energy. A few things I did not read in other TripAdvisor reviews: - They will pre-arrange a taxi for you from the airport for 27 euros (note that you meet at the meeting point between baggage areas A and B on arrival - they will not be at your baggage claim exit). Myself and two grown daughters spent 3 nights here in a triple room. Do not be alarmed when you are dropped off in a narrow alleyway, stopping traffic behind you as there is nowhere to park, as when you enter through the doors it is truly special! The fact that the building is an old 16th century convent adds to the interest, and it has been renovated with a sympathetic, contemporary style bringing in some quirkiness with a nod to modern art. Everything is this hotel excells: form the personal, warm welcome by the polyglot receptionist, the light, arty reception area to the airy, well proportioned rooms - just excellent. In particular impressive is how the atmosphere of the former (or in parts still working) monastery blends in the life of this small boutique hotel. Even the terrace on the roof with the swimming (actually more wading pool, but with sea water) makes you forget that you're in the centre of a busy town!
