The room was nicely decorated, but it was difficult to sleep because I heard every sound from surrounding rooms, the corridor and the lobby. I'm glad that the room wasn't facing the street. The cleaning of the room could definitely have been better. The floor was dusty, the balcony furniture weren't cleaned and - like so many other hotels - the bathroom had stains that probably are difficult to get rid of. The rooftop bar/pool area was small and crowded. I would say that the room was not really ... Read more

We stayed here for 5 nights in July. The hotel was completely worth the money we paid! We had everything we needed and more than we expected! The rooms were modern and spotless, air conditioned and came with a bath tub. We had a room with a balcony that overlooked the pool area. One thing that did let this hotel down on our visit was that there were a lot of renovation work. This can't be helped as the hotel was improving itself and making all the rooms as great as ours and hopefully they have ... Read more

Stayed for 4 nights. Great location with everything within walking distance. Excellent service in reception, friendly, great English. The room was very clean with nice design. Beautiful rooftop terrace with view of the port and cathedral. A small, but nice pool, bar and sunbeds. Jazz club three nights a week, which is quite loud, but didn't bother us. Did not try breakfast, but had one lunch at hotel, which was good.

We stayed for a 3 night break recently and were pleasantly surprised at how handy this hotel is to all the "biz" in Palma. It's close to many many restaurants and bars and the womenfolk loved the shopping. It also has a great jazz bar on it's 7th floor and 2 pools ( 1 up top and 1 on the ground floor). Service was excellent and the room comfortable. The wet-room type shower didn't really work for us, however, as the floor in the bathroom always ended up soaked. The free wifi was very good and th... Stayed for four nights. As two couples it was nice to have rooms next to each other. Room was spacious and had a balcony which looked on to the road at the side, which was fine as it wasn't that busy. Bed was two 3 foot beds pushed together....it was a bit harder than I like and there was only one pillow. There was a stocked bar (didn't use it) and a free safe, which was good. This is the 4th time I have stayed at the family owned Hotel Saratoga and for several days each time. Given I had tried others before this - is my absolute favourite. There is nothing not to like about it whether its for business or pleasure. Always the same staff to greet you who recognise you - a good sign of a well run hotel. Plus many of the guest I meet have also been there several times, that has to sum it all up.

The location is perfectly placed to visit the sights of Palma either by foot or bicycle. (We opted to walk around the town and get lost in the shopping side streets more than once!) We arrived earlier than we should have since check in is from 2pm however the staff had our room ready by 1.30. In the meantime we looked around the hotel and 'top bar' and pool area and relaxed after our journey. We spent two nights here. There are many reasons I won't be returning, but here are just a few; Overpriced - we paid nearly £350 for a standard (very standard/Travelodge style) room. Having just left a gorgeous beach front hotel with amazing views over the sea, a dingy, ground floor room, in which we couldn't open the curtains onto the roadside wasn't really what I consider to be good value for money. When we arrived, we were told our rooms weren't ready, as we had requested rooms next to each ... Read more

The staff however, need some help with customer focussed training. They are there to please themselves, not the guests. Offhand at best, arrogant and rude at worst. This was our second stay at this hotel, we stayed here 2 years ago. We stayed for a week, our son also stayed for 3 nights. Our room was a bit tired, the bathroom door was stiff and needed a good slam to close it, and the shower leaked at the side. Our son's room had been renovated and had a lovely walk-in shower and modern bathroom. However, the staff were always polite and helpful and we enjoyed the jazz bar in the evenings. The location is great, quiet but within walking distance of the cen... Read more

Staff was extremely helpful, they couldn't have been better. Room was spacious and the air conditioning excellent. The central location made getting around easy. Room was very quite. Jazz was also good. Pillows were too flat for comfort and the "sea view" didn't show much sea but the balcony was nice.

This Hotel has it all. First off it's beautiful. Rooms are clean and modern. 8th floor has a pool and service bar and a good sized seating area. Also a gym. Seventh floor has a bar and lounge with a spectacular view. Late night live bands entertain. Airport bus stop right outside. All in all it's an excellent choice. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Nice hotel in walking distance to many attractions in Palma(Hard Rock cafe, El Corte Ingles++). Nice terrace on the roof with bar and pool. On the negative side some more sunbeds should be available, at least by pool on ground floor.

I can highly recommend staying at Saratoga and would definitely return on my next visit to Palma. Especially the roof terrace with a view over the city and the harbour is fantastic. Here you can relax by the pool and be serviced by the great staff. The drinks were delicious - and the sangria the best I tried in the city. The breakfast buffet is overwhelming. Just on eggs you can chose between 4-5 variants. A cook is making freshly made eggs, bacon and vegetables while the buffet is open. Don't ... Read more

I like this hotel because it is so convenient to the shops and bars at night. This is my 3rd stay but as a previous reviewer said the plants were dying and needed attention. The Saratoga has over 100 rooms and seemed to be full during our stay but there were only approx. 12 sun loungers downstairs - that area is very drab. 14 sun loungers up on the roof deck (2 of which were broken). The roof deck is very small but bizarrely there is a gym up there. If it was my hotel I would move it to the ... Read more

We had our second visit to HotelL Saratoga. Last year recommended by my son and is golf friends. We were a bit disappointed as we felt the room was a little bit scraffy as the saloontable was in great need of paint, the handwash was broken. We mentioned this to the reseptionsstaff without getting any respons. Several cups in the breakfastroom were chipped. But still I expect we will come back next year

Arrived quite late in the evening and check in went very smoothly although the receptionist could not confirm if the room we had been allocated had a bath or not The room itself was quite pleasant and we had been given a balcony as requested. The hotel is located in a perfect position for shopping, restaurants, sightseeing and only a short walk from the nearest beach at Es Molinar. The location of this hotel is pretty much perfect in my view, a short walk down to born the old town with its wonderful maze of smart bars and excellent restaurants. The cathedral is a ten minute walk max and you have the newer livelier part of town five minutes in the opposite direction. The bars attached to the hotel are lovely and the Jazz bar was grrrrrrreat baby. The staff are spot on, really helpful with maps and travel suggestions and there were no hidden costs added for towels, wifi etc.... Read more

Booked this hotel for last night in Mallorca. Location is great, near the center and the harbour - nothing to complain here. Rooms are average, with loud fridges, but at least clean. The not so nice thing though is that they have a Jazzclub on the 7th floor, that is open until 1:00am and even in the 5th floor you still hear the music and the noise. Not so nice if you want to go to bed before 1:00am

The hotel is excellent. Bar is a bit pricey though. Exceptional work from the cleaning personnel in this hotel. Hotel has two swimming pools, one of them being a rooftop one. It takes 5 minutes to go to the city center by foot. Bus stop to the airport is within a couple of minutes walk. Difficult to park with a car near the hotel.

The Saratoga is an efficient modern hotel with particularly helpful and friendly staff. It is conveniently situated on the edge of the old town with easy access to the main shopping area, Cathedral etc. and was perfect for our short break in Palma. We particularly enjoyed time spent in the cafe/bar adjacent to the main entrance. The hotel is nice and in a good location, but they force you to buy full breakfast only to get a cup of coffee in the morning. Quite ridiculous that you can't even buy a coffee whenwhen there is no in-room coffee machine. Most hotels of this standard have a Nespresso machine in the room these days! And very hard matrass and lousy pillows.

Good - The location. You can walk to anywhere in Palma. The room - although my wife said it had obviously been designed by a man.
