Only 20 minutes by regular bus service from centre of Palma. Very clean rooms and polite and helpful staff. Best of all it was such great value at only £24 per night for a double room on half board. Only 10 minutes walk from the local sandy beach in Cala Mayor. Quiet location, with a great view of the sea and harbour.

We stayed here on 14 Oct for 2 nights. We were on a budget and this hotel fulfilled our needs perfectly. We caught the no.1 bus into Palma 5 Euros single per person which dropped us off in the Plaza Espana, great to have a wonder from here down towards the Cathedral. Sights I'd recommend on the way are the market - 'Mercat de l'Olivar,' people watching in the Plaza Mayor, and of course the Cathedral. We had every intention to catch the no.46 bus from the Cathedral to the Blue Bay, but with road ... Read more

The hotel is in a nice area of Palma- lots of cheap bars and cafes around. Bus 3 or 20 a 5 minute walk away and takes you to the city in 20 minutes. Hotel itself had lovely views of the sea. Very big with lots to do . Rooms are ok- clean and comfortable. Service was excellent and very helpful. Lots of info and connections to excursions and rentals at the front desk. I would stay here again!

Having arrived after 10pm to fined we were booked room only. [ no fault of the hotel ] not all inclusive as we thought when we booked with Expedia, this ended at end of Sept. reception staff were brilliant & we paid for half board. Did put damper on our 5 day break. Room was very clean & reasonable size, great view over the marina & bay. beds comfy too. Spent most of our time by the pool, which I think maybe in summer will get very crowded. Staff friendly & helpfull but found only the reception... Read more

We had a 10 night stay October 2016 at the Hotel Blue Bay. This is a three star hotel and this is what you get. The staff however make this hotel, and they did everything they could to make it a very pleasant stay. Maria, Katja and Boris worked hard in the dinning room and where always friendly and chatty. Lovely people. Same I can say about the reception and Peter who checked us in. On departure we were attended by a lovely Spanish man, so sorry I did not get his name, but again helpful and hap... We have recently returned from an 11 night holiday -our second visit to the Blue Bay. It was , as was the first time , a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The food was plentiful ,regularly replenished ,and there was always enough choice for us. The salads and fruit were very good ,as was the chili , meatballs and rice pudding. But we found all the food to be of a very good standard given the cost of the holiday.Over the 11 days we were there we didnt struggle to eat and were never left hungry... Read more

Our family of 4 liked the hotel very much,my wife and I with sea view 1st fl room and 2 CH in twenties in 2 rear mountain view rooms. Great views and peaceful surroundings, nice gardens and Pool ( with bar), friendly and helpful staff. Easy to get a taxi for the 4 of us, got to the Cathedral in Palma that way. We did HB and seemed good choice, lunch -ate out on mostly baguettes and beer /cola. Would visit again a pleasure :)

Situated halfway up a steep hill, this hotel is not for the mobility impaired. To reach the hotel from Cala Mayor, you have a choice of the Slope of Death or the Steps of Doom. The Slope of Death is the main road that doesn't have a path, so we chose the Steps of Doom. They take you straight to the hotel's front door. However, there is a church, handily situated at the foot of the Steps, so if you expire whilst ascending, you can be easily rolled down to the church, where you can do a different ... Read more

Have just returned from staying 9 days at the Blue Bay Lanzorete. I found this hotel to be a little dated but that is the only negative about it. The food was good and plenty of variety; The staff were at the dining room door to meet you and take you to a table. There is also a snack bar that you can get food throughout the day ie toasties burgers etc. The rooms were spacious and towels changed daily except Wednesday when maids had their day off. Sheets were changed twice a week and I found... Read more

Hotel and grounds were clean with friendly staff. Food was ok always found something to eat and I am a fussy eater, for what we wanted, a base for the weekend, it was fine. Hotel was set up from the main road with shops and bars and there was either a long steep road to walk up with no path or a set of over 100 steps to climb, we opted for the steps but it was hard work...needed a drink and a sit down when you got to the top!lol Would not be suitable for older or less mobile people. The rooms we... Read more
