Not the best central location, you definitely need your own transport (with the aid of google maps or gps) However, definitely value for money, clean & very friendly staff. The breakfast has a fair selection of breakfast treats

Hotelroom was really clean. TV is small & outdated. Breakfast room is huge without welcoming atmosphere. Staff was helpful upon our departure allowing breakfast before official opening. Hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from the railway station and another 25 minutes via train from Placa De Catalunya.

Hotel is situated about +- 20 minute drive from the city center & attractions. If you using public transport to get around, Molins De Rei train station is about a 5-10 min stroll from the hotel. The rooms are quaint, clean and comfortable and the staff is very willing to be of assistance. The breakfast selection is satisfactory, more than sufficient for me & my family. I would definitely recommend this hotel for good, value for money when traveling with your family!

Ok and clean hotel. Rooms were ok and looked nice except TV was old. Everything in this hotel is basic and nothing more. No fresh fruits or good baged stuff at breakfast just toast and youghurt etc. Location is bit off but its easy to come with a car. There is lot of parking space and only 5min walk to the trainstation. So it's easy to get into the centrum. Last train comes back before midnight so you might want to take a taxi.

We stayed here for 6 nights. It had everything we needed. The people that worked there really made this hotel stay so amazing! They always had someone on staff that spoke english and were very fun and friendly. We needed to put some stuff in a safe and though they don't have one in the room they do have one at the font desk. There are individual private safes that can only be opened with your key + a manager key so there is no need to worry about leaving your stuff there. The breakfast was... Read more

The hotel itself was very basic and pretty tired looking. Our room was also situated near a local bar/nightclub so noisy. Breakfast was not overly inspiring but did the job. The primary thing for us was the location, this hotel is situated in an industrial estate on the outskirts of the city centre. Agreed, you can get the train which is only a few stops, however the train finishes at 12 midnight, so if you are planning on a night out be warned - taxis, although plentiful, are extremely relu... Good large room. Excellent breakfast, as usual in this brand hotel. Only inconvenience: too far from the town And far from public trsnsport. You need a car. Taxi Will be too expensive near 35euro by night.

Stayed here for 3 nights to visit Barcelona, whilst the hotel is a bit of a way out of the city centre (which is reflected in the price) the town it's in is lovely and the hotel is spot on, the info says 500 metres from the train station but I don't know who measured that maybe 'it's as the crow flys' but it's a nice enough walk and once you know the train lines and numbers it's quite easy to get in and out. There's also a lovely little bar outside the train station where the prices are a quarte... Read more

We needed an overnight just outside of Barcelona before returning our rental car early the next morning. After a month driving around Spain and Portugal the Holiday Inn was cheap modern clean and spacious with parking. Easy check in and helpful reception. Sunday so there are very few options for lunch or dinner open, but the receptionist made a few good suggestions including advising us to leave early because of the Monday morning traffic. On the last day of a long journey we were over quain... Read more

Stayed at rhe holiday inn during the Mobile World Congress. The hotel is a bit far from the city attractions and actions. It is simple hotel that provides a bed and basic service. The rooms are old and have a simple old color tv. No frill in the bayhroom in terms of shampoos and moisturosers. The dissapointing part is a lack of a hotel. The staff graciously direct you to a hotel that is a 5 min walk. The advantage is that the hotel is near the railway station

Spent 3 nights after disembarking MSC cruise on xmas day. Hotel is away from the city attraction but close to the train station which makes it 15mins away from the city centre. Its also situated beside Be Disco club. Very clean environment, spacious rooms and bathroom. Quick check in and check out process coupled with excellent customer service.

simple, clean, cheaper than staying in Barcelona. Its 15-20 min train ride away. The hotel close to the station.we didn't find it a problem as it was quieter and away from the hustle.so we just went in and out of the city rather than full on all the time. it has plenty of local Restaurants near by, and a park to walk through.

We stayed the night before our Carnival Cruise. 4 of us took a taxi to the hotel from the Airport. It was kind of away from the city but it worked out well. We asked the desk manager where to go and what to do. There was a nice area with shops and restaurants only a 10 to 15 minute walk away. It was not a touristy area at all. We spent all night enjoying ourselves with the locals. They seemed to like us and we definitely liked them. We felt very safe everywhere we went. The Hotel was ve... Read more

Stayed here at the start of our holiday. Not luxurious but perfect for an overnight. It's near motorway. We got a taxi from airport which was approx 30 euros. We had luggage which added to the cost. Hotel situated about 10 mins drive from airport. ( couldn't get an airport hotel room- no breakfast included for us less than about 250 euros as their room capacity less and we were booking with short notice. ) There were 4 of us. 2 adults and 2 children ( a child is under 18 so perfect if travelling... Good value for your money. Rooms were clean and stuff was friendly and helpful. A little bit too far from the city but you can use public transportation to get to Barcelona to save more money. If not taxi will cost you about 30 euros each way.

This hotel is fine if you have a car. However, if you don't it is close to train station but the train fares add up. The room was clean, comfortable and the staff friendly, but the breakfast was really poor WITH NO HOT FOOD AT ALL. The area where breakfast is served is also far too small, with too many people in too small a place.

The hotel is located a bit outside the city, but well to reach with the regional train. Good service and nice staff as well as full breakfast served in the morning. Also the bar was open until the night, so that we could enjoy a drink after an exhausting citytrip.

We stayed at Holiday Inn Express Molin de Reis for 5 days. While it seems to be a popular hotel with tourists, the only glitch is its lack of proximity to "Real" Barcelona. It is good 6 stations and 25 min away from Plaza Catalonya station.. The station is good 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Hotel itself was comfortable with very basic amenities. Breakfast was again same every single day with breads, juices, meats etc. However, being an Indian, I think we get spoiled for choices when it come... Read more

Ideal place if you would like to get some rest in a relatively silent place after a tiring day of Barcelona tour. The hotel is widely used by tourist groups brought by some tourism agents. Breakfast is poor.

I stayed here with my grandfather in september. we were visiting Barcelona to do the Nou Camp tour, and we booked this hotel through British Airways as part of a "flight + hotel" deal for just £120pp for the weekend. we arrived in the late morning and were kindly checked in by the staff, they then helped us by giving us a map and showing us how to get to the train station. the station is a 5 minute walk away with trains every 10 mins which go straight into the centre of barcelona. the room ... This is some distance out of the city, but was convenient for us as we were collected by friends so access is easy. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms clean. In all, as expected of this brand. There is a tea/coffee tray in the room, however the coffee really wasn't nice!! Coffee at breakfast also wasn't the best!

Booked here for three nights in the middle of October since the rate was great and whilst it was 18km outside Barcelona, there was a pretty good train service to the city. First of all the staff here gave a very warm welcome recognizing my Rewards Club status, no complaints here at all. Check out was also perfect and anyone I encountered in the hotel couldn't do enough to help out. Housekeeping did a good job and cleaned the place spotless each day. Breakfast was average. Me and my husband stayed here for 4 nights in October. Check in- the staff were friendly and welcoming that's all I could really say. The rooms- very basic, bed, TV (with 5 different news channels in different languages that's it!!) the rooms were clean and OK nothing special. Breakfast- do not expect cooked food (apart from toast) it's just cereal, ham, cheese some breads and crossiants that's it and a coffee machine. They have a bar on site not that you ever really saw anyone drinking there, ... Read more

I left the hotel today after spending 3 nights there. Firstly, it had it horrible smell cleaning products. Secondly, the floors, toilet seat and sheets were stained please see the pictures attached. Overall it was dirty and shouldn't be classified as 4 stars. Breakfast was standard not worth the money.

You book a HIX because the standards are th same everywhere and you know what you're getting. Wrong. Bathroom fixtures rusty and mouldy. Window dripping with condensation. Stained carpet. Holes in the wall. Wardrobe falling apart. Breakfast......no plates so a bowl for the croissant. Which made the bowls run out. Not enough mugs so used a glass for coffee. No knifes apart from flimsy plastic ones which broke in ten seconds. Not enough people clearing away dirty tables so not enough seats f... Read more

We stayed here for one night only, thank god it was only one night. It was the worst nights sleep I've ever had due to the disco right next to the hotel. It was Halloween and from 1am until 5am a live dj was playing outside of our room. Why they put people right next to a disco I will never know. Breakfast was basic, eating croissants from bowls as not enough plates. People were so greedy, taking mountains of food so that there wasn't enough for everyone. We stayed in Molins de Rey as it was close to the ferry port and a lot cheaper than hotels in Barcelona and only a short train ride into that city. The hotel was ideally located to be able to walk to bars, restaurants etc. Our hotel room was spotlessly clean and quite spacious with a decent size en-suite bathroom. The breakfast was self service and basic but with something for everyone. Ideal for couples and families with children. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed 3 nights, the hotel was basic, nothing special, but there aren't any complaints, it's not directly in the city, it's pretty far out but easily access by train or car. The breakfast was basic. The staff were friendly. Ramon was the receptionist we had most interaction with and was extremely helpful in helping us navigate around the city which was extremely helpful. Thank you!

This is located in a somewhat industrial area so I'm not sure if that says what kind of visitors they usually host. The reception are gives a nice feel upon walking in but the rooms are a bit worn. You can tell the building is old and at this point, mostly patched up to appeal to all kinds of travelers. My group had 3 different rooms book and neither room was better than the other. The rooms have obviously not had deep cleaning in years, if ever. The bathrooms have rust on fixtures and stains ... Read more

I wish I had done more research as to the location of the hotel. We booked it using points, but It was way to far from Barcelona and we ended paying more in taxi fare than if we had just gotten a hotel in Barcelona. The staff was friendly and helpful, by the location is not good and the rooms are a bit dated.
