The staff are lovely, the site is pretty and there are 8 swimming pools but in Oct only one was heated and thus quite packed. Public buses pass by every 30 minutes but bus stop is invisible and 20 mins walk from our apartment which was within the huge complex. We were car less and occaisionally jumped onto the free train ride within CLC world which the kids loved. You can usually attend CLC as part of recommendation by friend - the apartments themselves are luxurious but be mindful of the sale... Read more

Over all we had a excellent holiday in this resort, standards were high and cleanliness was very good(couple of wee things not right in our apartment)do not want to be picky! the resturants within the complex were safari(excellent) Zacharies(not as good) but the best one for us was Establo el Castillo(the food was excellent the service was excellent the flamenco night on the Friday evening was excellent) we could not fault this place for food and ambiance. Only fault was the length of time it too... Read more

Four of us went on a week break, my husband , sister, brother in law and me, just a week to relax and recoup. The weather was wonderful for April although quite chilly in the evening. We had a two bedroom apartment, very spacious, two bathrooms well equipped kitchen, massive balcony with jacuzzi. Oh heaven. We ate in our apartment but really you should go out and about, in fuengirola there is a place called fish alley, sounds awful but really deserves a visit, restaurants in abundance ... Read more

There are a number of holiday communities in the Club La Costa world at Mijas Costa and San Diego suites being one of them is very good. It's a modern result with apartments surrounding a large freeform swimming pool. There is also a children's pool. The resort is large and a free half hourly road train service take you are under the resort. There is a gym, massage, several restaurants and bars, horse riding and each area has its own swimming pool. The apartments at San Diego suites are very goo... Read more

The resort, it's facilities and the superior accommodation is 5* without question. If you want a relaxing holiday, by the pool the. It can't be faulted. However, the area in which it is set leaves a lot to be desired. The costal resorts are just like black pool in the sun.

We love staying at San Diego, Santa Cruz . The apartments are beautiful. We love walking into Fuengirola most evenings.. Approx 45/50 minutes walk. The restuarants in Fish alley are awesome especially Estillo Campo, not to mention all the beautiful tapa's restuarant. The resort is on a hill and there is a train that runs very frequently, good for first visits to the resort. We now prefer to walk. It's lovely to see the same staff on our return. The only disappointment is availability of these a... Read more

A week to rest and relax, superb accommodation, nightly entertainment, restaurants and bars to suit everyone's taste. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Shame all the pools aren't heated but the sun will soon sort that! We enjoyed the little train around the resort, found a nice little beach too. If you hire a car Marbella is easy to get to, also Benalmadena and Gibraltar.

Went invited on a tour . Very nice resort ideal location loved it. Attended a presentation & were shown around the complex on the second day by a charming lady named Courtney & her sales manager Daniel. Unfortunately due to present family circumstances we aren't in a position to take part in the plan offered. The basic apartment we were given was more than adequate. It was spotless over looked the sea from a hill & was very comfortable. There are other luxury apartments on the site reserved for ... Read more

I have stayed here many times in the past and never reviewed the accommodation, this is a resort within a resort and the quality is exceptional. The apartments are huge with every mod con can you think of. most of the apartments have there own hot tub Jacuzzi either in the gardens or on the balcony. This is a holiday ownership resort and it shows, as the service and accommodation is the sort you expect from a 5 * holiday ownership resort.

As a CLC Member it is reassuring to know the quality of the accommodation before you arrive. That was the reason we joined. Still subjected to a day of hard sale. Real shame because quality sells. Hard sale does not. When will they learn. Listen to your clients you have a good product let that do the selling and don't try and hard sell and squeeze members for more. ASK YOUR MEMBERS WHAT THEY WANT.

We were approached by a lady on our way home from Tenerife to enter a draw. It turned out to be holiday club. We went to the promotion, didn't get sucked in and got one weeks free accommodation at CLC world in Mijas Spain. It still cost us around £1000 on flights and spending money. The complex was enormous, situated near the beach but you had to go across the motorway to get to it. Thankfully we hired a car which we never usually do. We used it every day to get around the complex. It is buil... Read more

Having travelled for a week to get to our rented apartment I was expecting the usual huge balcony and sunbeds to relax on. When we arrived I was shocked at how tiny the balconies were. We rang and asked for a sunbed or two as we don't like going round the pool with the kids as we've done all that and wanted a child free break. Two were brought up but we were told that it wasn't the norm as the balconies were too small. The saving grace was that we had been allocated two together and so were able... Read more

Fantastic place to stay. Self catering complex with really good swimming pools. Nice spacious apartments, comfy beds, washing machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and everything else you could possibly want. Some people slate the place because of time share pressure but that's only if you win a free holiday. We are owners so don't have that. Lovely well padded sun loungers. You can even have a relaxing massage by the pool at a very reasonable cost. Couple of restaurant to use anywhere on site. Fr... Read more

We have stayed at several ClC resorts. This resort is one of the better ones with lots of amenities and close to the beach and fengarola. The pool is clean and apartments are spacious. We had a hire car and visited the beach at Costa mijas and the village of mijas up in the mountains. Fengarola zoo is a good day out.

Positives - lovely setting, handy for local amenities and attractions. Great pools, Safari and sunset bars good and friendly service. Regular maid service and free pool towels. Modern accommodation. Less positive - one of our apartments had a really fusty smell which despite reporting twice, did not go away. Prices for drinks very high - ?3.50 for a coke. Couldn't always get a sunbed. CLC still trying to get more money out of us with sales pitches.

Excellent for a family holiday.Out does a hotel room any day. Excellent kids club and good food. No stag or hen does to spoil pool days like in hotels. Staff can't do enough for you. Apartments have everything you need even a hot tub.

Problems on arrival after that brilliant week no complaints, everyone friendly & relaxed atmosphere, rooms top quality lovely surroundings. Just good to relax and chill out, restaurant what you would expect to pay in a resort like this, food excellent and well presented all you could ask for in self catered holiday.

We were initially booked into San Diego Suites for our bonus week. We were upgraded to Malibu Mansions which was FAB, Two bedrooms/bathrooms amazing lounge / kitchen diner a Balcony with Jacuzzi and a garden. The resort is built on a hill side BUT the free trains/trams running around the site made things easy(walk down tram back) We can recommend CLC Safari restaurant and El Tijo Spanish place to eat on site. There are many places off site to cater for most tastes, You do not need to hire a car... Read more

Nice place to stay. Apartment nice however needs a wee bit of updating as been here a number of times over the last 10 years and not much has changed. It was luxury 10 years ago however not now. Zachary restaurant on site food food but well over priced.

Taken a few weeks to put this review in. This was because of the "obligatory meeting" we had to attend. We are new members and were given a "bonus week" which at the time of joining was a great gesture. We along with other new members found it to be another selling meeting. This took from 9.30 in the morning through to 6pm. It's a shame they do this because the resort sells itself. To the point that we are coming back next year for 2 weeks. Our apartment was on the ground floor giving us a gra... Read more

We had two meals here and both meals were excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and the chef was very approachable. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to a family bereavement but if we are ever in the area again we will be back. Must say that CLC Resort was very good and would return without hesitation.

I am not going to say much but this was our first holiday as a couple and it was amazing. We used my dads account with club la Costa and he chose this place for us and said it's beautiful and a nice place to stay - he was not wrong. From the moment we got there to the end of our stay it was perfect. We could of done staying an extra 3 days or another week. First return visit for San Diego suites for 9 years. We were a family group of 5 adults staying in three separate rooms, a one bed suite with an adjoining lock off and a nearby one. We used our suite for dining and entertaining. It was well appointed for dining in and living very comfortably for a week. As members we had a welcome pack which as always is well received before a trip to the supermarket. Rooms have one mid week clean normally but we seemed to be lucky in receiving additional small ...
