This hotel is in an excellent location for anyone wanting to be close to the beach, shops, walks and restaurants. I have been staying here for a number of years and have never had a bad experience. Every year I see improvements to the hotel, redecorating, garden and grounds etc. and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast choice is excellent. Located on the east side of the Port means it is a little quieter and less busy than on the west side but if you like a five minute walk to the beach, Pa... Read more

This is a lovely hotel, well laid out with attractive gardens and pools. It is part of the Melia Group which I consider to be very good hotels. BUT, and it's a big but, they have a problem with noise in this hotel. We had a ground floor 'Level' room and did not sleep well during our stay. The doors don't seem to fit the door frames properly and every word and movement from the corridor outside can be clearly heard when you are lying in bed. Even if people were speaking quietly or walking, it see... Read more

My husband & myself stayed in this hotel in middle of May. It was our first time to visit the hotel & also the area. The hotel exceeded our expectations & deserves 5 stars in my opinion. We stayed in one of the upgraded club rooms & it was superb - spacious, clean, bright & above all, very quiet. I felt that I had been listened to carefully when making reservation & when we arrived late at night, everything was in order & as requested. Excellent hotel in a very good location, we were satisfied with all the services, the pool area is fabulous, we found the staff very helpful and courteous, the only issue we had was noise in the late hours due to a hen party, shouting and screaming two nights running, waking other hotel users, apart from this a very nice hotel.

This was our second stay at this hotel, the first being really good. The facilities remain very good but as others have eluded to if its a relaxing break you are looking for perhaps this hotel isn't for you. Perhaps we were unfortunate in having a room on the ground floor but we were disturbed every night with shouting and screaming in the corridors which lasted up until around 5 In the morning. Lovely swimming pools, great location, good food. However some staff are not friendly, a number of things at the property including mini bar, ice machine and outside toilets were out of order for the majority of our 7 night stay. This Hotel could be good with better staff and some money spent on the upkeep of the premises. The location is great as right by the beaches and 10 min walk to Puerto Banus.

Stayed beginning of June with a friend. Could not be happier with our experience, we upgraded to the Level and it was well worth the money. Access to the Level Lounge that provides drinks and snacks all day, saved so much money just on not having to buy water let alone alcohol before we went out every evening. We stayed in a ground floor Level room which had a small private garden which was lovely, also meant we had two sunbeds that we didn't have to fight to get each morning, however during our... I always enjoy the Melia Brand hotels and this hotel is to that standard. We were half board and yes it's a bit pricey but you do have a very relaxed holiday in a lovely setting. The pool and gardens are lovely and I loved the trees shading you around the pool, this helped travelling with a 3yr old. Our holiday party was a group of 3 couples, therefore to walk into our standard "Melia hotel room" and see what I would call a twin room (two beds) I was shocked - it wasn't something I had seen before. We had an amazing time with our 2 daughters (9 month old & 5 year old) all staff were so helpful and friendly, breakfast amazing and beautiful swimming pools & grounds. The location was ideal for walking into Puerto Banus and along the way several lovely restaurants.... Read more

We returned to the hotel again this year, as we really were impressed last year. Sadly due to some problems, we didnt enjoy the experience as much 2nd time around. We booked the `level` upgrade this year which gives you a superior room on the 5th floor and use of the `level lounge` offering free drinks and snacks and a nice outdoor area overlooking the pool to relax, Unfortunately, we were not told (and nothing is on the website) that the age limit to enter this lounge is 18 plus. This hotel is great for families during the high season with a fantastic kids club and lovely pool facilities. The kids club and kids and co extras were the clincher for us with a 6 year old child. Most of their activities were pool side based with a full daily activity timetable including inflatable slides, water mats, foam parties and arts and crafts. Also the kids club team were qualified teachers who provide this facility throughout their summer holiday so great approach inclusive approach w... Read more

We are at the Melia Marbella Banus at the moment and couldn't wait until we got home before posting a review. Everyday life takes over and it no longer seems important to write a review once back to the daily grind. This is our second visit and most definitely won't be our last, being an events manager in a 5 star venue I'm not easily pleased but can find no fault with this hotel. The staff, service, food, comfort and cleanliness are second to none! My husband and I are celebrating a special an... Read more

Stayed a week at this lovely little hotel 500m from the harbour. Fantastic apartment, lovely staff and a great service for the room. Pool areas are really nice and quiet without people invading your space. Only 60 m from the beach and promenade for lovely walks into the lively harbour area, next time I must bring my Lamborghini with me.

We only stayed here for one night but 2 full days, following a wedding in Benhavis. When we arrived we had to wait till 3pm for our room. Which once we were in I have to say was beautiful. It was huge, with 2 almost double beds which was lovely. Our room was on the ground floor and overlooked the pool at the back. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with toiletries. The air conditioning was cold and the fridge was big enough to keep a couple of bottles of water in. perfect for what we neede... Read more

Came here on recommendation for a girly weekend. Great hotel, great pool area and the rooms were spotlessly clean. We had the B & B option but in all honesty, the breakfast wasn't too great! The only downside is that we are looking to book it again for the same time next year and the prices have gone sky high!

It was our fourth visit to this hotel in The Level and as other times we were not disappointed! We are four ladies on our annual 'girls chill out weekend'. We stayed for three nights. Checkin was done online, our room was available at 1pm when we arrived and the lady on the Level desk friendly and polite. Room was lovely overlooking the pool and large and clean. Breakfast as always plenty to choose from and all good quality. We stayed full board for the first time this year and found the food to... Read more

I've recently returned from a girly weekend away and we had a fab time! Lovely clean room and towels changed daily, amazing breakfast with lots of choice! We used the pool bar a couple of times for cola throughout the day, fairly pricey but was presented lovely in a cellophane bag and tied which was very cute. We used the bar to order pizza which was delicious! Cocktails were around 12 euros which were over priced but I expect that from a nice hotel. Had a massage in the spa which was lovely and v... Been to Puerto Banus a couple of times, first time in the Melia & we were not disappointed. Booked a weekend in early June, perfect location, just 5 minutes walk from the start of the Puerto Banus Marina. Could not fault hotel, clean, spacious, excellent staff. Opted for B&B, great variety - everything you could possibly want for breakfast, plenty of room. Two great pool, adult only & family, lovely bar area. Will definitely book again.

Fifth trip here for a short stay in September whilst visiting our house further along the coast. Arrived at noon, three hours before official check-in. Were told our room was ready, great. Got to the room, not so great. The standard of the room was as good as all the others, but the view was none existent. It looked straight into heavy bush growth which was being cut. I am writing this review whilst I am still staying here, nice welcome, fragrant reception perfume which starts to get a bit too much a few days in. Overall a good experience, spending five days at this holiday hotel. Situated a few miles from Marbella a short walk from the exclusive shops, luxury cars and mega yachts in this man made port, the hotel is close to public beaches, bars and shore side walks. Our room was billed as a garden room, a bit more a private grass patio but still quite nice when the hotel is busy. There's an adult area and a large family area making it a great place for all. We've stayed in many 4 & 5 star hotels in Marbella, and this one represents the best value vs quality we have found. The staff are very nice - from gardeners through to the reception, and breakfast is a vast feast with a great selection on display (including excellent made-to-order omelettes). For a 4-star hotel, the amenities are far better than average and include several pools (one of which includes a nice waterfall feature). I've just returned from an 8 night stay at the Melia Marbella Banus & had a wonderful time. Apart from a couple of very minor niggles, it was a fabulous week. Although I've been visiting this hotel for many years, and always liked it because of it's position near the promenade & town centre, the staff, customer service & facilities have improved immeasurably in recent times. I stayed in a 'Level' room, with private garden/terrace, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

We've stayed in many Melia's over the years. This one's OK but suffers from a) being an old building in need of refurb, b) unusually some indifferent staff, c) it's a golf hotel (so all the baggage that comes with that`). The service was good but we had a checkin confusion and on our last morning breakfast to wait 20 minutes for staff to get our coffee. Breakfasts generally were a chaotic and noisy affair with children running everwhere. And the clatter amplified by the 'canteen' furnishings. A... Read more
