This is a comfortable aparthotel conveniently situated on the edge of the beach in Marbella. The hotel has a small reception and lounge on the ground floor with a rooftop swimming pool & restaurant which we did not use but I understand only serves food until 4pm. The rooms are simple with a double or twin beds and a separate kitchenette (complete with utensils & cutlery). The marble bathroom is a standard hotel layout but our room had a shower only - no bath. The best features of the hotel are t... Read more

This was my fifth visit and I hope to return many more times. I found the room, location, and staff were excellent as usual. I have recommended this hotel to my friends and family & they have not been disappointed.

Went to Princessa playa hotel in April 2016. The hotel is right on the large promenade on the seafront just a few minutes walk to centre. Apartment was cleaned everyday and fresh towels etc. The cooking facilities are basic but adequate, 2 ring hob, microwave and toaster. They did supply a very small tea towel but i took my own anyway. Take a can opener and corkscrew the ones provided are ancient. The hotel does get parties in at the weekend and can become a little noisey my advice, get some ear ... Read more

Two couples. We had driven up from Tarifa after a long drive from Fes in Morocco. The hotel had been recommended by our friends. It was actually OK. Not splendid, but not crummy. The room is a bathroom, bed, kitchen area and very tiny balcony which overlooked another apartment block. As it was an overnight, that didn't matter. The bed was super-comfortable although twins. There was a mini kitchen, but no coffee or tea facilities provided. Everything was spotless. Downside: at recepti... Read more

The drive in from Benidorm was relatively easy. The hotel has a pull in area so you can park and check-in before having to find the parking. Parking was easily located just around the corner in a very large and easy to navigate underground garage. Discounted guest cost for parking was 16?/night with in and out access. We were fortunate to get a room with a beautiful view right on the beach. The hotel is in a great location directly on the beach promenade and across the street from old town. Ea... Read more

We have just returned from Princesa Playa Apts. We LOVE Marbella and the apart hotel is in a wonderful location - overlooking the beach, within very easy access of the Old Town, etc. Going to sleep and wakening in the morning to the sounds of the waves was a bonus! Walks along the promenade can go on for miles, along the Golden Mile in one direction and down to the fishing harbour in the other. Princesa Playa Apts. are really lovely, so clean and comfortable - housekeeping second to none. St... Read more

this is the 3rd time I've stayed at this hotel, mainly because of the location. It isn't nothing flash but does all I need. It is a little dated but the location makes up for it with views to match if you are on the right side roomwise. always helpful staff as well and clean, rooms got cleaned everyday

During May 2016, I had reason to visit Marbella with a group for a short trip, due to the fact that I travelled a day ahead of schedule I booked and prepaid online one night at the Princesa Playa Hotel Apartamentos, Paseo Maritimo, Marbella, Spain for two persons. Everything about this apartment hotel was very pleasant. I arrived late, our arrival was expected, the process was welcoming, swift and courteous. Staff really pleasant and helpful. We stayed on the 7th floor. Apartment was very cos... Read more

I'm writing this review as I sit on the beach in the sun, (the weather itself has been perfect, but gently getting warmer by the day) on what is our last day having spent 4 nights at the Princesa Playa. The wife and myself arrived at around 12 noon on May 29 and were greeted by a very friendly Amigo on the reception. He informed us we were double lucky, as not only was our room ready for occupancy, usual check in being 2pm, but was a very nice room also. There are two lifts to 7 floors. The dini... Read more

Stayed here in March 2016 and everything perfect. Spotlessly clean, great room service. Only one downside- everything stops at 4pm . Bar,snack bar, restaurant and room service. Was it the time of year we went or is that the regular policy? Back to Marbella in 3 weeks time but staying elsewhere this time.

Arrived late at night and assumed we would have to take whatever was left however when asking the friendly Miguel if we had been allocated a sea view room he told us it was a surprise. He wasn't kidding when we awoke the next morning the view blew us away and although the room was basic the view more than made up for it. We slept every night with the balcony doors open listening to sound of the sea. The room was no frills but very clean and the beds were comfortable it also had the bonus of fr... Read more

This hotel is right on the prom with the beach directly in front. Our room was 709 which is a corner room with front and side sea view. When I say room it's more of a suite with separate lounge with kitchenette, sofa and table & chairs. There's a TV in the lounge and the bedroom. There's a two ring hob and fridge with freezer compartment. There was no bath but we'll appointment shower room with complementary toiletries. Good hotel , very reasonably priced in May 2016 , i had a apartment type room with a bedroom off a kitchen /kitchen area . I found it ideal for my stay . The rooms were very clean and the cleaning staff were very nice and helpful as well . There was broadband but I found it extremely slow . I would stay here again .

We stayed on the 4th floor of this hotel, nice hotel, nice sized rooms for 2 people with a small kitchenette, I recommend a sea view as it's beautiful views and it was nice hearing the waves crashing on the beach, The staff seemed friendly and polite as was the cleaning which was done daily and very well. However the breakfast is awful and that's the only reason I have given this a 3, it's 12 Euro and all I can say it's the most disgusting food, you can get a nice breakfast out for around 5-6... Really enjoyed our time here, the hotel has a lovely feel and although very basic was very homey at the same time. Never had any problems with anything and the water pressure in the shower was amazing! (Wish I could bring that home) we could see the ocean from our room which was a nice surprise and the air con worked perfectly as when we left the windows open it got SO hot in the room but would cool down in minutes. Only negative was as 2 young friends we wee given distasteful looks and disgrunt... Read more

The hotel rooms all pretty much face the sea as does the restaurant where breakfast is served on the top floor. Right on top is the pool, quite small with limited space and sunbeds, so get up there early if you plan on staying by the pool for the day. Reception staff were competent and helpful and the are was clean and airy. The room was very clean however the decor was a little dated and the room a little dark.Had all you needed in the kitchenette. However bring a scourer or dishcloth with you,... Read more

These apartments are in an ideal location overlooking the promenade in Marbella. They are basic inside but you have everything you need and they are very clean. The staff on the reception desk are extremely friendly and helpful. The common areas are beautifully furnished and comfortable. I will definitely return there again some time.

This hotel is not the Ritz but it's clean, functional with good services. Pool area is nice and food is satisfactory. Our room was very relaxing. The best part of this hotel is the location! Right beside the beach, lots of good restaurants and the famous Orange Square!

Great hotel , clean and friendly .great location . swimming pool on roof , was nice but pool bar closed at 1600 - thought this a little early ? pool area open till 2130 but no snacks/drink after 1600? breakfast fairly good value for money Be careful of scams in the area , usually the story will involve a car being towed away and 10 euros to get them to the police station !

I have given rating 4 out of 5 only for the location. Room size is ok. Air conditioner was not at all working properly. Staff is not very helpful. Free wi fi available but the signals are too weak which is as good as not working. Breakfast is good. Over all stay so so. But again the location of this hotel apartments is right at the promenade which makes the stay fruitful but off course they charge for it.

We stayed for 2 nights recently for a long weekend. This was booked by friends but we found it to be very nice. We had two balconies and an amazing see view. We didn't use the pool or bar as the beach is so good and there is so much choice for eating and drinking. The rooms were spotlessly clean. Slight "80's" feel to them but we just slept in them. For the price you really would be hard to fault the place. The reception staff were very helpful and polite. The lifts are rather tiny so 4 p... Read more

Excellent . Stayed 19 July - 26 July 2016. Excellent staff. Apartment a bit dated but very clean with change of towels daily. Location excellent, on the beach and a stroll to the Old Town. Hotel was very quiet which was great but has everything within a short distance. Would highly recommend it to couples.

The Good: rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, perfect location, roof top pool, very clean rooms, supermarket around the corner. The not so good: pillows are limp & uncomfortable, rooms are outdated but comfortable, you need to leave a 10 euro bond for a pool towel and if you need to change it over for a clean one they charge you a non refundable 3 euros, pool bar/cafe closes at 4pm so you can't even get a drink after that, pool area is boring no music no wait staff (even before 4pm).
