When we arrived at the Molina Lario, we were checked in by Roberto an extremely helpful member of the reception team. Our room was comfortable, quiet and clean. The breakfasts were fresh and tasty, with good quality produce used. The staff are friendly. There is a small rooftop pool and bar, which is very lively in the evening. The Bolsa Cafe was fun and spilled onto the outside pavement. The hotel is perfectly situated for getting around the old city of Malaga, with easy access to m... Read more

Stayed here on a long weekend in Malaga with some friends in March. The hotel is very modern and stylish and the rooms are very nicely decorated. It's located next to the Cathedral and close to many nice restaurants and bars, also close to the market and to the sea aswell. The best thing about the hotel is the amazing rooftop terrace where the pool is. We saw an amazing sunset from here and had some lovely drinks at the start of an evening out. Would love to stay at this hotel again when we next... Read more

Perfect location for beach, port, shopping and tapas! Room and ensuite was clean and decent size made all the better by a very reasonable upgrade to a room with a balcony and view of the cathedral (see picture). Friendly staff and a really nice breakfast. Would definitely return.

We stayed for a couple of nights and the thing that we enjoy the most was the rooftop and the bar. At night it creates a good nigh environment. The hotel is close enough to the beach and the city center (everything can be done walking distance).

As I opened the door to the room, I immediately noticed two things -- nice room and terrible view. The nice room are well described by the other reviewers: comfortable bed, high ceiling, clean and nice furniture. They even included a complimentary carafe of scotch. The view is of the neighboring building about 4 meters away. All you see is old windows with peeling paint. About 10 windows can see into our room. I asked for a new room, but I was told that the only other room is facing the same o... Read more

Stayed May 2016. Location excellent. The hotel is right in the heart of the old town, about a 15 min walk from the train station and right next to the cathedral and the Marina. Slight issue on check-in with broken air conditioning in the room, but the hotel staff were very apologetic about it and moved us to a slightly nicer room on a higher floor no questions asked. The impressive thing about this was that it was midnight by the time we returned from dinner and realised so hats off to the night... Read more

What a fantastic location and lovely hotel. The pool was small but very nice and the bar was lovely, with views of Malaga. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was just fantastic and views of the cathedral!

This hotel has a nice boutique style, quite modern. It is very clean and the rooms are wonderful. The breakfasts are delicious and there are lots of choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly and were able to give us great advice on taxis, buses and attractions.

Room was lovely, we took the offered upgrade for a mere $30/night. The Cathedral is right outside your front door and basically all other sites are within walking distance. Modern hotel with a friendly helpful staff. Ton's of restaurants at your fingertips. Walk to the Seaside Ferris wheel, Picasso Museum, Cathedral, etc... Affordable and convenient.

When we arrived we were not happy with our room, as the window opened onto the courtyard and was very noisy. We asked if another room was available and although they were extremely busy they showed us another room that was available. It was fabulous. The staff were fantastic we felt totally at ease. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice, for everyones taste. I would definitely go back.

Five night stay in a great location, right in middle of old town beside Cathedral. Overlooking the ugly Marriott this hotel ticks the boxes. Delux room 610 gives view of Catherdral. Room big and well stocked with toiletries. Small pool on roof top with loungers for around 10 people. Inadequate number. Only complaint was Mossies.... Buzzing about my ear at night.

Hotel is cracking, rooms are nice and immaculately clean. The pool is TINY as is the rooftop area but that is fine. However the staff! What typifies it was the pool bar opening 35 mins late. Bar-lady then refuses to serve anyone anything "until the bar is set up". Apparently this takes an hour and the chopping of fruit is the priority, not the guests. I only wanted a bottle of water! This attitude runs through all of the staff from the bar to the restaurant through the reception staff. It is a S... Read more

So, Booking.com comes good again (sorry TripAdvisor, you're great too). A last minute nosey brought up this truly great hotel. Beautifully tidy, elegant, classy and with immaculate, clean, spacious rooms. The top floor pool is awesome (one of top three rooftop city views), albeit a little competitive for space. Night views are something special. the location is perfect, 10 minutes from the beach and 30s from town. No, really! Friendly and truly helpful staff and a nice bar. Downsides? Breakfasts... I stayed seven nights in the Hotel Molina Lario at the end of June. Our room was bright, clean and airy. The air conditioning worked well, and there was plenty of room. The one downside was very poor water pressure in the shower. Staff were very friendly. The hotel pool was on the roof and was excellent. The pool is very small, but never crowded, most times I took a dip I had it to myself.

we stayed in the Molina from Friday 1st July to Tuesday 5th July and had a great time, the hotel is comfortable spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The Breakfast has all you could wish for and more, the rooms a really good size and very very clean, the cleaners do a fantastic job every day. The Hotel is in a great position near to Cathedral, classy good resturaunts, the port and the beach, could not be better. The rooftop pool is on the small side but this was not a pro... Read more

I did stay recently in the Hotel Molina Lario in Malaga. The hotel does have a great location very close to the Cathedral, plenty of restaurants and bars around, very close to the beach. Check in and check out was decently fast, staff always friendly. Room was of decent size, extremely clean, including the bathroom. AC was working well, room equipped with safety box, flat TV screen and minibar. Bed very comfortable, and room was silent, no noise from outside. In the bathroom one could find bath... Read more

I stayed here with eight friends from 7th July until `10th July. Couldn't really fault it. Room fabulous, spotlessly clean although water pressure was somewhat erratic. Breakfast great. Staff friendly and helpful. Loved the roof top bar - had lunch there twice and was great. Lovely vibe at night. Location amazing - overlooking Cathedral and 10 mins to beach. Highly recommended. Visited Malaga as family of 5. Hotel staff were welcoming, assisted with parking & accommodated an early check-in (to 1 room). Roof-top pool was a nice feature. Rooms were neat & clean. Hotel location was good for visiting all of the major attractions & sites. *However* - we returned at night to find that one of our rooms (on a non-smoking floor) reeked of cigarette smoke. Front desk worker agreed that our (previously clean & smoke-free) room smelled strongly of smoke & noted that the room... Read more

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend! Perfect location in between harbour / beach and old town. Spacious modern rooms, clean and everything you could need. Lovely breakfast also - in nice surroundings. Great hotel in the heart of Malaga. Speedy and efficient check in. Room was lovely - clean, spacious, comfortable, great bathroom. Very comfortable beds. Unfortunately we too were woken well before 9.00am by the renovation work below - not overly loud but a constant hammering which was rather annoying! Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. Rooftop terrace and pool were lovely. Would definitely recommend.

I stayed at Hotel Molina Lario in June 2016 for one night. I arrived well before the check in time, hoping to be allowed to store my bags there whilst visiting the city of Malaga. This hotel is located in the absolute best spot in the city. It is right in the heart of Malaga's best shopping, dining, and sight seeing. Beautiful hotel, helpful staff! Only tiny criticism is that during our stay it was extremely hot and humid, and the air conditioning would sometimes shut itself off during the night, making sleeping slightly uncomfortable until we would wake up to reset it. It really wasn't a huge deal and perhaps was only our room but should be noted given Malaga's warm summ... Read more

Fantastic location. Right in the middle of everything, near the port and the old town. Great rooms, we were overlooking the courtyard, it was very quiet and dark so easy to sleep, the bed was very comfortable. The rooftop pool and bar were small but a great bonus for a city centre hotel. The bar and restaurant on the ground floor looked very cool and gets great reviews even though we didn't use it. The staff were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful.

A really nice hotel right in the heart of Malaga. The rooms were good size, clean and modern. There is a roof top pool with great views over the harbour and the cathedral. It is small and you have to be lucky to get a space. (The usual annoying habit some folk have of "keeping" a bed even though they are away for most if the day ). Friendly staff nice little cafe for a snack. We did not have breakfast as there are hundreds of places to eat around the hotel.
