if you need to be early at the airport this location is OK'ish but there are better hotels nearby at similar prices. Rooms are extremely hot, even in winter, and airco function does not work. Opening the window is not an option because of extreme noise from street as there are some clubs in street behind. Also smoke from rooms below came up through open window. This hotel brings basic back to its real meaning: basic is really basic. If you prefer a cool/comfortable sleep, skip this hotel

very bad airco resulting in hot rooms. Windows can be opened but bring lots of noise from street where some clubs seem to be located. Once, never again. Disappointed platinum member! Smoke getting in from rooms below when window opened.

Stayed here overnight before flying from Malaga airport. It is very convenient for the airport and close enough to the city centre to go for dinner. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable and a good variety of items are available for breakfast, generally very good value for money

I use this hotel quite often. It has really gone down hill with anmoying avoidable problems. The staff last night were quite rude and a bit 'dim'.. and as a gold member INDIDN'T EVEN GET A DRINKS VOUCHER.. Problems with the internet. Outfated room hot rooms. Noisy morning traffic from motorway. Grubby testaurant area. Hilton accross the way looks an increadingly better option.

We loved the room (very comfortable bed, nice bathroom and shower, good sized room, not much noise from outside) and we really appreciated the posibility to print out our boarding passes in the lobby - that's very thougthful. The check-in process however was very long (~20 minutes) and we were also very upset with other guests continueing to make noise in the reception and hall (slamming the doors with a full strength, talking and yelling loudly). The hotel definitely needs another door separat... Read more

Given that this is an Ibis hotel, I don't really expect any extras, so I always hope for a quiet, comfortable sleep, which is what you get in this hotel. Even though the hotel is across a highway, the rooms are quiet and I found the beds to be comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had no problems with the water pressure in the showers. The air conditioner was working fine for me, although it is not the coldest, but it keeps the room at a good enough temperature in the afternoon, if you need t... Read more

Stayed just the one night. Warm welcome, - staff very efficient. Food was not 'sold' / 'recommended' to us at reception. Yet we chose to 'eat in' - and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was fine - NO complaints - nothing fancy - but enjoyable. Rooms immaculately clean and comfortable, bed was fine, TV worked ok...All in all a really good value for money experience. Thank you lovely staff.

Starting with the positives: a friendly efficient welcome, there is a bar by the check in which offered comfortable seating and a welcome beer. The room was clean, modern with a comfortable bed. The hotel is relatively quiet considering its proximity to the airport. The access to the airport is relatively simple but it is best to ask direction before starting the trip â?? leaving the hotel area is easy when you know how. My negative comment concerns access to the hotel. I arrived from the n... Read more

Annoying, rude and under-qualified staff. NOT at Malaga Airport as advertised, either but a â?¬20 taxi trip away. IBIS is well known for quality the world around; this place? Avoid the smells, the filth and the local staff, like the plague.

Hotel was very good at when all the staff were off the phone a queue at reception having progressed over 20 minutes. The room was good and bed very comfortable. I would only criticise the lack of imagination in the menu - would suit pizza eaters of salad freaks.

Came here having arrived quite late into the airport. I think its a bit of a stretch calling it an airport hotel - its a good ten minutes in a cab. Saying that, when I arrived I found the place very comfortable and the staff welcoming. I also ordered food past midnight and a sandwich was delivered to my room. All in all a good experience.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and staff were polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend as a hotel for stopping over. It's about 10min drive from the airport and there is underground parking that costs extra.

It did fulfill the quality level of a 2 star budget hotel. The room was average, the AC in the room was not so good either. The food was decent, restaurant is open 24/7. Overall sufficient for a one night quick stay. The location is quite close to the airport, easier if you have an own car, It's a 5 min drive to the airport.

Ibis is offering standard service all over the world, so you know what to expect. Basic clean rooms, good for overnight stay. We took a room with an extra bed for a child. Breakfast is charged separately (we did not use it). The only problem we had is that the hotel does not actually have a shuttle service to/from the airport as was written at the booking site, so we had to take a taxi (10 EUR, although it is just couple of kilometers from Malaga airport). There is no official hotel parking, b... Read more

When I booked it I felt like I was across the airport. Not so at all.. It's a good 10 minute drive... And that's how much it takes to drive in from down town anyway. Absolutely nothing to do or eat near by. Not very clean and a bit smelly. Staff is not good English speaking. But friendly. Look for something else...

Stayed here in September for an over night stay before travelling up to Granada, since our last stay a couple of years ago the hotel seems to have went down hill a bit, ok for a bed for the night but wouldn't want to stay any longer. I suppose you get what you pay for as this was about 100euros cheaper than the Hilton across the road, just needs an overhaul then it should be ok

Used hotel for overnight stay before early flight. Ibis is right next to the main A7 highway about 5 kilometre from airport but it is not easy to get to by road unless you are familiar with Malaga. We returned hire car to airport and got taxi in both directions. Hotel room was bright and clean, bathroom excellent, bed very comfortable. TV was hopeless - only three Spanish channels. Free wifi for about half an hour.

All the eating facilities at the hotel are being renovated. The menu choice is very restricted and the dining area is not pleasant. So I was not pleased to turn up late in the evening expecting to have a relaxed meal. The staff are doing what they can - but Ibis should have made more effort. Is it too much to ask that they should have advised guests of the problems? So check before you book or be prepared to eat elsewhere.
