Great hotel! big , clean rooms, lovely staff and perfect location. 5 min walk to city centre, great view of either the port or bull ring. Absolutely fantastic value for money. Lovely bar inside the hotel and everything is spotless. Very close to lots of nice bars and restaurants. Perfect!

Was booked there for UN interagency games. The staff were great my room and bathroom was however very small-especially the bathroom, must be the smallest bathtub I've ever seen.On the bright side it was close to a lot of places...shops,train,restaurants and a great dry cleaning service. Also free wifi and great decor .Breakfast was a buffet with a chef on hand to customize your omelette.

Chose this hotel due to its good reviews and its 4* rating. Whilst the hotel is centrally located, being very close to the marina, and only a short walk from the city centre, I was a little disappointed with a few things. The hotel has two very small lifts; only big enough for two people and their luggage each, and I found them quite claustrophobic. The ensuite bathroom was cramped with the toilet and bidet behind the door, and only a shower over the tiny bath. The breakfasts were not what I wo... Read more

It's our 2nd last night at this hotel and we cannot find fault with it. It's great position 5 minutes walk from either the beach or marina and about 10 minutes to the old town. The hotel is on a busy road but don't let that put you off or you will miss the chance of staying at this lovely hotel. We had a triple room which was 2 single beds plus a bed settee which was like a 3|4 bed. The standard of cleanliness was great, room cleaned each day. The staff all seem very helpful, the barman finding ... Read more

Friends, Family and I have all stayed in this hotel many times... but we have all noticed how it is slowly becoming worse than it used to be. Not so much for the hotel / rooms but the STAFF. We have noticed a huge change in staff attitude over the years and does not offer the same customer service they did 6 years ago. It hurts to say it as we really loved this hotel, but prices have steadily risen and no cheerful deals can be found at any time of the year... and with the staff being less polite... Read more

I stayed here with my boyfriend on a quick trip down to the south of Spain from Barcelona. I chose it because of the location and the price. Whilst not being the cheapest it looked the nicest for my price range and was very close to the marina and the centre. We were able to check in at about half 1 and the checkout time was 12. Sounds great, but probably explains the abundance of stray hairs on the bathroom floor (that were not mine). I'd booked a double room, but as ever booking as two mal... Read more

A 2 night stay at MS Maestranza turned out to be great fun and it would have been nice to have stayed longer. The reception staff were particularly helpful in allocating us the location and type of room we‚??d asked in advance ‚?? we find this a rarity! Getting There A 100 metres or so from the airport bus stop (A route) and the hotel doesn‚??t have its own car park. There are several nearby but it is a bit awkward to arrive first and drop your luggage off as there isn‚??t a loading area and t... Read more

Located close to the road the sound proofing needs upgrading because although we were on the eighth floor we could still here the traffic from the busy road. This should be down graded to a three star. Hotel is tired and with an array of mixed styles. The spa is a joke. You could say a jacuzzi with a selection of towels. The roof top was in need of some new sun beds and was basically an oven. Yes great views of the bullring. Near to the beach and the marina. We had breakfast at the small cafe on... Read more

Great location, clean and spacious room, comfy beds, great bathroom/shower Reception team very helpful. Beach 5 mins walk, town 10-15 mins walk. Harbour area beautiful with great restaurants. We were room only, didn't eat in the hotel. We had an early evening flight and the day we checked out we used the spa facilities to shower etc and the hotel were very accommodating. Super sun trap on the roof with plenty of sunbeds. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Wow!! What a fantastic hotel! I visited alone for a short city break and found the hotel to be clean, with friendly staff and all the facilities to make your stay a good one. The restaurant is excellent with great food and prices as well as a friendly waiting team. In my room I found it clean, very posh bathroom and a safe box in the wardrobe to which you can easily set the code made leaving items locked and secure. The spa on the 13th floor is just icing on the cake. What better way to relax... Read more

Having visited the MS Maestranza in March, I knew where I wanted to stay when I returned to Malaga recently! This hotel is in a fantastic spot - easy walking access to the revamped port area and the old centre, with a taxi rank and bus stops nearby and the Malagueta beach a hop, skip and a jump away. From our room we had amazing views across to the alcazaba, the city and the port. As per my previous visit the room cleanliness was exceptional and bedroom comfort was great (large, comfortable... We would return if in Malaga again mainly because of the central location and well kept rooms. pros: - Great location 400 m walk along a street to the beach and proximity to the marina, old town and castle; - Modern, functional ambiance (4*); - Good restaurants a few steps away (we liked El Refectorium); - Grocery shops 300m away; - Small fridge available in room; - Safe-box in room; - Breakfast buffet was optional at 15 Euro extra (eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, cheeses, pastry); - Other breakfast... I liked the location of the hotel - not in the thick of the tourist part of time, and very close to the beach. All the tourist attractions were a short walk away. It was very clean and the staff were super helpful, so I'd definitely stay there again.

Located a very short walk from the Beach and the Port with its shops, restaurants and cafes and 10 mins walk into the to old town. Roof Terrace has sun loungers and parasols and spectacular views. Beds were so comfy, room was clean, air conditioning was very effective but didn't have a thermostat so it had to be on or off. Shower pressure was great, and an endless supply of hot water. Our room faced the port and overlooked a main road, the traffic noise didn't bother us but it might some pe... Read more

We stayed in room 1201 that gave us great views of the adjacent bullring and the City. A concert with Pablo Lopez was on whilst there - we had a grandstand view. The Hotel is clean, well situated and the staff are very friendly. There is a roof top terrace with beds/umbrellas and a Spa. The Hotel is about 200 metres from the beach and 400 metres from the City through a beautiful wide park. There si a great choice of retsuarants in teh City and on the Marina. We stayed 12 days in this hotel in July 2016. This hotel has the most ideal location in Malaga. Just 200 m walk to the beach and 400 m to the Placa de la Merced via the tunnel or 700 m via the sea side promenade. There is also plenty of restaurants just 100 meters outside of the hotel in the harbour. But if you want to have good Tapas you need to go to the old town. Just a hint that if you want to go to the famous Ta√ľas places like El Pimpi or Cervantes them you need to go relatively early mean... Read more

Just stayed for 3 nights in room 701 facing the bullring. Great hotel, lovely room with seating area. Jacuzzi bath with ample space in the bathroom. Very clean. Breakfast, good selection to eat. Coffee was very good. On my husband's birthday itself the management left an ice bucket with a bottle of sparkling wine in - very thought full. My only complaint was the spa - nice area but only the jacuzzi working. A bit of a disappointment. The hotel is close to the beach - about 5 mins walk. Down th... Read more

Great location, near port with lots to do. Short walk to beach and city centre. Room v. Spacious, we stayed in 401 which overlooked the road but had side view of sea and alcazar fortress. Amazing view from rooftop, jacuzzi not working? Room was dusty on walls above lights and curtains. Breakfast was great, quiet with lots of choice. Most of all we had great sleep as so quiet!!

We have stayed at this hotel every time that we have visited Malaga and never been disappointed. As before, check in was prompt, professional and friendly. The room, a standard double, was a good size with a desk, chair and plenty of power points for the business visitor. There was enough storage space for our three day stay. A balcony was available that would be quite useable though traffic noise might be off putting. The bed was large and comfortable and side tables were provided. The ligh... Read more

We had a nice stay at this hotel. We had a balcony that was headed towards the bull ring which was a bit cool. We aldo could see the sea, but it wasn't much. Nice breakfast, much to choose from. My husband thought that the oil they had cooked everything on tasted weird. They also had some kind of a serrano ham that tasted and looked a bit mouldy.
