Today you`ll find art is everywhere - you can experience exhibits devoted to glass and crystal, classic cars, modern installations, and, of course, the works of Picasso, who was born there. Wander past banana trees and beautiful fountains as you walk through Paseo del Parque, then hit the old city to quench your thirst at a Spanish tavern.

Nearby

Easily accessible from Malaga are a series of village nestling in the Guadalhorce valley. The closest to Malaga on the A357 is Crtama, once a strategic stronghold for the Romans and the Moors who constructed a castle, today better known for its enormously popular Crocodiles Park. Just beyond is the small but historically interesting Pizarra. Further north is lora, the biggest place along this route, with steep, cobbled streets leading up to a ruined Moorish citadel, now the towns cemetery. It is tucked into the foot of a rocky cliff topped by a castle, which was first constructed by the Phoenicians.

very poor location, spent around 300 euros on taxis getting around, pool area left un-cleaned +24hrs, food quality is very poor and room service is even worse, bland tasteless breakfasts. Also you will wait +10min for bar drinks as not staff enough to cover restaurant and bar. Rooms were kept clean and tidy, and staff when around were helpful, but rest of our stay was poor.

Great room if you need to be near the airport. But be prepared for flat rate taxi fare. Very steep at $15 for 3 mile ride. You can take a bus, but it stops three blocks from hotel which can be a pain with luggage. Near bus and train lines. Take the 5, 9 or 10 to city center about 15 minutes for 1.30 Eur. Easy route to and from. Clean hotel, restaurant is typical hotel food. There are no other nearby options.

We three adults stayed for 2 nights when arriving/departing Malaga at the start and end of May 2016. The first night we stayed we were walk-ins. Reception was friendly and professional very late at night. We got good advice on room choice, and picked a room with two double beds. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom had a standard toiletry selection. Check out the next day was good, and our booking for later in the month was made quickly by a friendly staff member. We didn't eat at the ... Read more

Brussels Airlines baggage handlers went on strike while we were at the airport so my wife made a hotel reservation with free cancellation. Brussels air then offered to fly us around Europe for 15 hours in place of our scheduled 3 hour flight. We immediately cancelled the hotel reservation but were charged $145. Don't book unless you plan to stay that day.

This was a nice room close to the airport. Be advised that taxi fare to and from the airport is between 15 and 20 Euros for the very short ride and the hotel offers no shuttle service. Our air conditioning did not comfortably cool our room and our bathroom door was very squeaky. We had hoped to spend the day at the pool but it was full of families and there were not enough lounge chairs.

This hotel was great with excellent access to the airport. Be careful of the cabs from the airport, make sure you get a metered cab. It should cost about 15 euros. The rooms were clean, beds excellent, staff helpful, and the breakfast buffet extensive. Not much around the hotel for eating so we ate in the hotel, which was good but not very the menus was not extensive. It was like being in an American hotel.

To some reviewers, the fact that this hotel is on the outskirts of Malaga--about a 15 minute drive to main attractions--may be a negative. However, we found it refreshing to have plenty of (free!) parking after fighting to navigate through confusing city centres and having to park blocks away (for up to 20 Euros a night) in other Spanish cities on our trip.
