Our room was very comfortable and very clean. Staff were friendly. We booked in advance with the "advanced saver rate" and thought it a very good price. We enjoyed the breakfast and it was a short walk in the morning to pick up our rental car.

Ok for one night only. Anonymous. We were by car and it took a while to find it. It is actually hidden. I would not walk from airport as the area is not the best. Take a taxi. Location is ok if you arrive at 3 am and sleep some hours, otherwise suggest to take something else.

Perfect place for early departure and late arrival. The hotel is very close to the airport. The room and the rest is average but the location is good. The staff were polite and helpful. There is nothing very much going around the hotel. Its located in an industrial area. It takes you 15 to 20 min by taxi to Malaga.

This is a nice hotel with very close proximity to the airport. We had rented a car and it was about a 5 minute drive to the airport. The hotel offers a nice breakfast and the rooms are well-equipped and clean. The hotel is also close to a bus stop which will take you to downtown Malaga in 20-30 minutes. The hotel may be a bit inconvenient if you do not have a car rental though. A cab to the airport should not be too expensive but because the hotel is right off the highway, walking to the airport... We've arrived after midnight. Clean rooms and very good breakfast. Kids used the sofa bed. We drove to downtown Malaga for a quick walk, it took us 10 minutes on the weekend. Outside parking was a bit tight but we didn't complain as it was free. We would come back.

Hotel was very close to the airport, my flight arrived after midnight however which meant the bus had stopped running and the taxi company charge minimum of EUR20 after midnight. Impossible to walk as some of the roads have no pavements from the airport. Room was okay - As expected for a budget hotel. Getting breakfast included in the rate is a great point. Hotel were helpful with information at reception and friendly.

We arrived on Monday at around 2 PM as we had a flight the next morning at a very early hour. Honestly, it is a basic airport hotel. There is NO POOL as advertised otherwise - the location is okay as it is close to the airport although has not much around it. The rooms are clean and the beds and comfy, no complaining about that. As for the TV, there are very few channels in english but there is the basic news report. In total there are maybe 12 channels and only 2 out of them english - but we ar... Read more

We just wanted somewhere near to the airport to chill out after our late evening flight arrival. This is exactly that. It is very close to the terminal building, but you still can't walk to it because of the road layout. The reception staff were very friendly on arrival. It's very convenient for many places. We travelled here from the airport on the A bus, 3 euros and drops off at villa Rosa, go over the blue bridge and it's next to car hire place. We then travelled back again from the main train station, turn left and find the bus station past some lovely restaurants again 3 euros on the A bus. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It's exactly what you can expect from an Holiday Inn Hotel : nice little room (but no electrical outlet near bed to charge phone !!). Insonorisation very bad. A lot of people get up very early in this kind of hotel and even if you don't have to get up, you will because of the noise. Breakfast not nice : industrial croissant and bread, fake orange juice and other juices (syrups), not organised : there is always something missing. Good coffee though. The main thing going for this hotel, is its location so close to the airport. I would never have chosen this hotel for anything else than in connection with a late or early flight. It is placed in the middle of an industrial area cramped between several car rental companies. If you're taking a taxi to or from the airport, it will cost you 20â?¬ for a two minutes ride. But to be fair, that's not the hotel's fault. The room is quite ok. I never got to taste the breakfast though, because it was s... Read more

There are a number of comments about this hotel being an expensive cab ride from the airport. That may be true, but it's a convenient and fairly cheap bus ride from the airport. Bus "A" runs between the airport and downtown Malaga. It costs 3 Euros; you pay on the bus. You catch it right in front of the terminal building. The driver will drop you off at the first stop and point out the hotel and the pedestrian bridge over the highway that takes you there. It's a walk of a couple of hundred meter... Read more

First, the hotel is close to the airport, next to the highway, so there's nothing to do but to stay at the hotel. Second, it's only 5 minutes to the airport terminal by taxi but it'll cost you 20E anyway. Third, the service is nice but the food is below average. Next time I'd rather stay in the city center, have a great dinner, even if I had to pay more for the taxi.

Arriving late into Malaga , we needed a bed for the night before we moved on. This hotel does the job, it is basic, clean , friendly staff and close to the hotel. You need to get a cab to get there, too far to walk and on the other side of the motorway. There is a minimum fare of 20 euros , which is a lot more than you would pay on the clock, but at midnight and you are tired , it is worth it. Breakfast was a buffet, but no complaints about the quality or amounts available.

Getting to this hotel "closest one to the airport" isn't so easy. The options are a 2-3 minutes drive with fixed 15 euros taxi or by walking 15 minutes mostly on a driveway without pavement. They don't offer a pick up from airport but they do cover your bus ticket from airport if you come with one. However, the bus doesn't operate too late (wasn't option for us). Anyways, not the most comfy/new hotel but the bed was fine and I slept well and the included basic breakfast did the trick. Next time... Read more

The hotel is excellent for staying on arrival at Malaga airport. It is only a short walk to a few of the car hire companies off airport Malaga cars etc. Although close the hotel is very quite, no bother from plane noise. There is a bar and restaurant which serves food at decent prices. I had a steak chips salad 12 euros. Breakfast excellent a far better choice than in U.K. There is a BP garage near by which has a small forecourt shop which sells essential items, beer wine crisps etc. Receptio... Read more

Hotel was very good for one night after flying into Malaga late. Pick up bus from the airport or a taxi. Wouldn't fancy the walk at midnight as it not clear where to go. Staff very welcoming and the room was clean. Tea making facilities which seem to be rare in Spanish hotels. Free wifi. Breakfast was plenty of choice continental style.

I stayed here for one night for an early flight and the service was good. I arrived at the hotel from the airport using bus line A to Malaga centre getting off at Villa Rosa stop. The driver showed me the way before I got off the bus. In the morning I took a taxi to the airport which cost 15, I managed to share with a couple so we split the cost to 5 each. Usé este hotel para un vuelo muy temprano por la mañana. Hay un autobús línea A a Malaga, la parada se llama "villa rosa" y es so... Read more

We arrived late in Malaga (2am) and this was a good option to stay. My friend cannot sleep with the AC on, so we tried sleeping with the window open. But since the window was towards the highway, that was too loud for sleeping as well. I know this is not the hotel's fault...but still it made our night not too restful. The staff was very friendly and they were open 24h. Breakfast was nice as well.

This hotel is very nice and the people that work here are great, and it's super close to the airport so if you're just getting into Malaga late or you're out early the next day then I could recommend it for a night, but other than that it's hard because there is practically nothing close by other than a Toys'R'Us if you're looking for kids stuff... The rooms are great and even come with a bidet which I still find amusing, but ok, it's still common in the region. Very comfortable rooms with clim... Read more

This hotel is conveniently located next to the airport but it doesn't have an airport shuttle. You can walk from the airport but it would be difficult with luggage. So you have to take a taxi for 15 euros. I believe you can take the bus but I'm not sure on those details. Anyway, the lack of a shuttle is very inconvenient. The hotel is clean and the room was decent. The bed and one of the pillows was extremely hard. There were also no plugs by the bed. That made it hard to charge your phone over ... Read more

To be fair I didn't see a lot of the hotel, the room was fine. I arrived at 02:00 am via a 19 euros taxi ride of about 2Km max. Walkable but you'd need to know where you were going. Shower worked OK, taxied out again 6 hours later with another similarly priced taxi.

Close to the airport, but no shuttle-bus. Bad functioning ac, and the smell of cigarette in our room was noticeable even though we asked for a none smoker room. The good thing was the quick and easy breakfast which was available during the night for those who has got an early plane

The first thing to know about this hotel is that while it is the closest to the airport do not try to walk there as we did unless you already know the way. Its roughly a kilometre but there are no signs until close to the end and we were lucky some good Samaritan gave us a ride half way because his brother's flight had been delayed. Once you know the way then there are paved sidewalks all the way but you don't see the hotel itself until you are nearly there. Our plane arrived close to midnigh... Read more

Corporate needs to do something about this 1960's facility. From 16" TV screen to terrible matrices to cracked coffee cups in the room to lipstick on coffee cup in the coffee lounge. Now for the dinner... What a joke, I know it's not Holiday inn, they subcontract the restaurant to someone also but they need to get new chef...the worst meal we had while in Spain for 2 weeks. However I do have to thank the night manager(sorry forgot her name, she was very nice) for taking care of the restaurant ... Read more

Okay I get it why some travelers don't like this hotel: the tv looked old and the sofa bed was old. However if you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel close to the airport (we drove 6 minutes in the morning) where the staff treats you like a valued customer, this is the place. Our expectations were exceeded tremendously as we booked it for a good price, but it came with all this: clean room, spacious bathroom, no disturbing loud noises, enough space and amenities in the room, free wifi, fr... The rooms were comfortable and clean but we were disturbed by noise from the road. If you plan to take the public bus from the airport (3 euros, reimbursed by the hotel), make sure you get precise instructions first, as the hotel is over a pedestrian bridge from the bus stop and it's a difficult walk in the dark with a suitcase. We enjoyed our cheap and cheerful dinner. Breakfast was adequate. Staff at reception were friendly.

I stayed here one night at the end of my trip to the Costa Del Sol. The hotel is of an average standard with what you expect from a Holiday Inn Express. The room was comfy and the bed was very nice. Bathroom includes all your needed amenities. Staff were very nice and efficient. It is only about 5 minutes from the airport but when they arrange a taxi for you it is a flat 15EUR although I think that stems from an airport charge. Breakfast and dinner, which I ate there, were of an underwhelming st... Read more

We wanted somewhere near the airport for an overnight stay as we were arriving into Malaga at 11.30 pm.. I emailed the hotel in advance and they gave me clear instuctions on how to get there by bus. We were the only two people on the last bus to Malaga which leaves at 24.00. The bus driver told us when we got to the Villa Rosa stop. Then one crosses the road on the blue pedestrian bridge which is ramped the whole way up and down. The Holiday Inn express is beyond the Del Paso car hire. The night... Read more

The hotel as its name indicates it is very close to the Airport. Close thatâ??s true, but donâ??t try to walk there if your flight arrives at night as we did. Youâ??ll be much better off, if you call a taxi, rather than walk around and try to find Holiday Inn. It isnâ??t a good start of your holiday, believe me. Because of my partnerâ??s accident we had to spend six days there and during this time we got well acquainted with the hotel and its staff. On a way, we were lucky since it would be hard... Read more

Despite some of its modern furnishings, the hotel feels worn out, used and an overall feeling of 'yucky'. We had a room on the top floor (3rd) and at the end of the hall (we appreciated this as we were traveling with our 1 year old daughter). The floor was dirty and you can see hair and other things that had not picked up. It was disappointing since our 1 year daughter is crawling around on the floor. The restaurant in the lobby seemed nice but overpriced. I did appreciate that they have free ... Read more

My girlfriend and I have spent here 1 night before our early flight the following morning. The Holiday Inn Express Malaga I believe is the nearest place you can actually stay to Malaga Airport and that's the reason why I have booked it. The Hotel location is right off the highway so basically impossible or really unsafe to walk to the Airport, however if you really want to, it is approximately 20 minutes along the highway with no pedestrian route. That's why I was really disappointed that the H... Read more

A clean, modernly appointed convenience hotel situated a mile from the airport. The rooms are of standard size and include firm beds. The hotel itself is new and has quiet rooms, even though it is located next to the main roads. The location is not accessible on foot to anything else. The hotel offers some basic food and bar service and some vending machines for snacks. Overall, good execution on a basic hotel that is designed for people who have layovers or inconvenient flight times.
