A very good 5 days at this well run and delightful hotel at the heart of Malaga. All of the staff were very good but in particular Luis on the reception desk was always helpful and organised our car hire. We will defiantly stay there again.

Hotel set in great position looking towards the marina, beach close by, in front of the cathedral and the many shopping lanes. Plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to spend soaking up the atmosphere. Hotel was clean, the rooms were plain but had to buy extra things like WiFi and coat hangers which was disappointing. The reception staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic, could improve by adding more choice particularly in the fruit section.

We didn't stay at AC Hotel Malaga Palacio but took the advice of other TA contributors to visit the rooftop bar by the pool on the 15th floor. We just walked through the lobby, asked the lift attendant for the terrace and were sent up without any issue at all. It was a brilliant way to spend the late afternoon/early evening before heading elsewhere for dinner. There's a decent number of tables and each have spectacular views over the city and the ocean. Pints of beer and glasses of wine we... Read more

Great location with nice rooms - some have views of the ocean. Ridiculous elevator. The staff need a little training - horrible restaurant recommendation, couldn't or wouldn't answer questions over the phone, and didn't properly introduce the hotel. This hotel has a gorgeous pool and fanatic rooftop restaurant.

A room on a high floor facing the harbour complemented by an awesome terrace on the top of the hotel equipped with a swimming pool and the best view towards the one-towered cathedral and the Alcazar is a truly magnificent reason to stay at this hotel. Valet parking only (23 euro day). Completely agree with previous review about the staff. Not all of them but some appeared to be completely discontent.

Great hotel situated next to the cathedral. Beautiful view over sea from room. Generously sized room, bed extremely comfortable. Slow , smart lift, not really sure of the point, fashion over function. Staff friendly and helpful. Stunning roof top pool and bar. Views amazing on all sides. Very trendy crowd. Pool small and very limited sun beds.

An excellent location, close to sights, shops and the coast. We were kindly upgraded, I suspect because we booked direct and not via agents. A fantastic view from the room. Check in staff could smile more, I know its a tough job but they are the frontline of the hotel. Fully recommended

I have just returned from a five night stay at the Malaga Palacio. This was my second visit to the hotel. Since my last visit in October 2015 there has been a refurbishment of the ground floor lounge and bar which was a tasteful improvement to the older style. Sadly, the pool area was closed for refurbishment for the entire duration of my stay which was disappointing. I had a room with balcony overlooking the street which was modern, clean and comfortable. We had a 3 night stay in this great hotel. We got a balcony on the 11th floor which is the highest possible and definitely worth it for the great views over the port, park and front. The hotel has great access to the old town centre and everything is just a few minutes walk. The roof terrace is lovely with even better views. It is small and inclined to get busy at peak times. The hotel is in a great location, close to the marina and town centre. The food served was very good, but the drinks were extremely expensive compared with the rest of Malaga. We had a balcony room which overlooked the marina. The room was very modern. Large bed, flat screen TV, etc. Bathroom was well appointed with slippers and dressingowns. We booked a room with oceanview, and it was worth the money. Lovely view and a luxurious room with a comfortable bed. When our plane had a delay the next day, we booked an extra night at the Marriott in a standard room. Still a good room, but with a view on a dark courtyard. So our advice is: spend a few euro's extra and treat yourself to an oceanview room. Overall feel of a budget hotel, generally fine but functional. Rooms sterile. I forgot that you pay for WiFi at a Marriott hotel, which I will not do as a matter of principle. Looking for my wife's earring on the bathroom floor was unpleasant as I realised how much filth there was in the corners and less accessible places. Television remote temperamental. Excellent location. Acceptable for a day or two on the way through Malaga but I would not recommend it otherwise.

On our trip to sought Spain we decided to have a night in Malaga. We loved our one night stay and the following day we decided to try the rooftop terrace at the AC hotel Malaga. It was nice and quiet and we were served by Naville who had only started working that very day. It was a real privilege to be served by Naville on his first day at the Marriott. The hotel is well kept, lovely lobby bar and friendly reception staff, small things like staff opening the front doors for you as you come in is a lovely touch. The roof top pool is small but perfect for the size of the rooftop area and a bottle of cava is only 12 euros! It's location is right in the old town, so you can walk to all the restaurants and less than 10 mins walk to the port and the restaurants down there.

Some good news - some bad news. Let's get the bad out of the way. No swimming pool and the lift system can take a considerable time - I mean ten minutes. The location is excellent the rooms are pleasant and clean and the staff are very good and try to help with everything. The front of the hotel has steps but no ramp which is inconvenient if you have heavy suitcases.

Staff was not able to answer simple questions such as what is the house wine and the manager of the restaurant was unhelpful and quite arrogant. You can see a 4* Service in a 5* setting.
