We stayed in Petit Palace during the Easter Break as a family. We checked in mid-morning and got our room. The room was small for a family of four and the picture on the website of the family room looked a lot more spacious. The bathroom was big and the shower was lovely as it sprayed water on your back. Although the one downfall was that there was no lock on the bathroom door. We hadn't pre-booked breakfast but they still gave us a 'deal'. It was ‚?¨13.50 per day per adult and ‚?¨7.50 per day ... Stayed for 2 nights for work up the street. Nice part of town, quiet hotel, clean rooms. Rubbish wifi but helpful staff. Would use again as it is a reasonable price and in a good shopping area. Left something in the safe in the room and the staff were excellent about returning my belongings.

These guys are great. Super accommodating, whether it's cleaning the room around jetlagged sleep schedules, answering questions in English when my terrible Spanish fails, providing some late night beers in a pinch. Had a very nice stay at this hotel thanks to the excellent staff, the location, and the price.

This was my hotel while visiting first time in Madrid. The location is amazing just seconds from the main high street with all the biggest names and brands you can imagine. Cool restaurants and bars all around. I was originally ordered a regular room but changed to a suite as it was tiny and claustrophobic. The small rooms sit on the road and the building next to it has a night club ( my friend was in that room and said it was very noisy) The suite was specious and bug but again it's suppos... Read more

First time in Madrid This was our first time in Madrid, our party of 6 (2 grandparents and wife and 2 kids (13 and 10 y/o)) we had two rooms. The family room was great with bunk bed and a queen comfortable bed, closet, bathroom, minibar, TV. The staff was great, very welcoming and helpful. Luis was very kind and gave us a complimentary 1/2 bottle of champagne and a gift from the hotel to our daughter since it was both our anniversary and our daughter's birthday. The buffet breakfast was very ... Read more

The hotel has a good location and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel entrance was a bit smelly, perhaps some issues in the drains. The staff is reasonably nice.. friendly but not over attentive.

I was a little concerned about being what appeared to be far from the center of Madrid, but it was a pleasant stroll down to the Prado, Royal Botanical Garden and over to the Puerta del Sol area. The central median along the boulevard has several bars/cafes under lovely shade trees where we enjoyed drinks and a meal. the hotel is in an upscale neighborhood with high-end shops and felt very safe. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Our room decor was modern and clean - not a fan of the ... Read more

Rather a strange hotel !! Quite what the room at the back of the lobby was supposed to be I have no idea ! 'bar area small & cramped didn't feel as tho I wanted to linger with a glass of wine .,breakfast ok nothing exciting , desk staff fairly helpful but not enough so having to wait ,as I am on crutches I didn't appreciate lack of service . All in all not a very good experience and will not return

We wanted a couple getaway and couldn't think of a perfect place. Nothing wrong with the hotel. Staff were so helpful with what to visit and where to go, clubbing etc.. also recommended the best restaurant for our anniversary. (Jorge/Jaime). Night life was fantastic, definitely coming again. 5*

The hotel was in a prime location especially if you want to visit the shops as there are plenty on the high street. Also it is only a 20/30 minute walk from the Gran Via and Puerto del sol. It is close to Retiro Park as well. The hotel was modern and simple but perfectly clean. The breakfast had a wide variety to choose from and the staff were lovely.

Hotel was nice. Rooms were a bit small and needed some modernization. The hotel lobby had a funky mildew/mold smell. The breakfast meal plan wasn't worth it. The door to the room had to be pulled tight to get closed. When I asked for a replacement room they ignored my request.

The hotel has a great location, just a 5-6 minute walk from Plaza Colón and wonderful shopping on Serrano. Hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. We actually stayed there twice, once when we arrived in Europe and again prior to leaving. Would highly recommend for the price.

We are pleased to know you enjoyed the hotel area. He hotel was in a prime location especially if you want to visit the shops as there are plenty on the high street. The hotel is comfortable, the room is also modern and comfortable (although they made a weird choice for night tables where everything falls as the surface is not straight). Big TV in the room. The breakfast was expensive for Madrid and for what it was. We went with our new born and they provide us with a baby crib and an Ikea shower for babies so it was useful. Location wise is good, in front you have a Corte Ingles and the area is quite quiet. Around the block you have several shops a pizz... Read more

This was a quick overnight stay enroute to San Sebastian, so I didn't really get to explore much or take advantage of anything in or around the hotel. However, the staff were friendly and helpful, the place was clean and well kept, and the room a good size. It's in the heart of the upscale shopping district of Salamanca, and close to many touristy things to do, and restaurants.

I had a great stay at Petit Palace and found their staff very helpful and informative. I really enjoyed their Mifi, which is a portable wifi that I rented for 5 euros a day. I rented another portable wifi device in Barcelona and in comparison, the one Petit Palace offered was cheaper. The location was in an upscale shopping district, which had all the designer shops within walking distance, as well as El Corte Ingles, a popular department store. The hotel also provided bikes for free, just tha... Read more

the room is great and so is the hotel. Everybody was very friendly and helpful on the reception. The only problem we had is that as we entered the room that was a bad smell of tobacco smoke, like someone was smoking in the room a few hours before we entered it. I don't know if it was the other guests before us or the people that cleaned the room.

The staff was very accommodating and kind. The breakfast was wonderful and the hotel was clean and well kept. I would stay there again. The only thing i would do to improve is to have some tea/coffee options in the room. The bed was really comfortable and I found everything else I needed. OH and room service food was great too!

Petit Palace hotel is very conveniently located in a neighbourhood of great shopping and tons of good restaurants. The walk to the city centre is not far. The rooms are modern style and functional but not particularly charming. Good value for money though and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Location very good. Staff very good. Building is tired and needs refurbishing. Rooms very clean. Bed very comfortable. Mini Bar not stocked with many items, "they had ran out of things". Reception had an awful drain smell each time we passed through. Breakfast was not really very good, which was a shame because it could have been brilliant. They had loads to offer. Hot food was cold. Cheeses and fruits had been cut and set out for a day or two. (dry fruit and sweating cheeses). The selection of ... Read more

Though not situated in the very heart of the town, it is well located with 2 tube stations (2 lines) not further than 500 meters each. A silent area what you will appreciate when visiting the evening Old Town. The rooms are okeyish, price is equivalent for the quality they offer. Very nice personel. Breakfast is slightly expensive comparing to what you can get for this money in Serrano St nearby.

Hotel is located in Salamanca, very central and nice part of Madrid. Overall hotel is good, although room needs a bit of a refurbishment, and view to internal yard- not very good. Probably nice for short stays - 2-3 days. Good value for money as we had a 4 person family room and price was adequate. Have stayed in Petit Palace Art Gallery before, and the room there was a bit better. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

Everything else was perfectly good, from reception, rooms amenities. Fix the plumbing smell in lobby! All else was at or above standards for a business style, boutique hotel. Well located for shopping, and transportation.
