Stayed one night when I arrived in Madrid after a long haul flight. Booked through Qantas. The room was compact with an internal window, but had everything I needed for a night's rest. The bathroom was clean and functional. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served on the rooftop. In addition to its location, the variety of foods - bread, pastries, cheese, meat, tortilla, fresh fruit, cereal etc - was excellent. There was even a green superfood to drink. Can't fault the location but I have some issues getting reception to respond to a very simple request and the shower was blocked. Since I checked in first on the first night and there was only one cup in the room, I asked for another cup to be brought in by house keeping for my friend as the booking was for two people the next night. After quite a few requests to no avail, I was told to visit the reception to get it. When I went especially downstairs to get it, receptionist said he thought I w... Read more

Located in the heart of Madrid, you feel that you are right in the middle of things. The rooms are clean & comfortable and with the added balcony, you see Madrid at its best. From this location we never needed a taxi as we could walk to most places and use the bus for the further places. It's location was so convenient. The service was magnificent!!! See, we lost one of our suitcase (NEVER USE VUELING AIRLINES), and the staff were helpful in assisting us with calls as we didn't speak Spanish. Th... Read more

This hotel is perfectly positioned for the centre of Madrid. Positioned right by Puerta Del Sol, only a few minutes walk from the train station. We were greeted in the most delightful manner and offered the best advice about where to go and what to do. The rooms were clean and airy, not much of a view but in the city centre what do you expect? Air con worked well, the wifi was amazingly quick and efficient. Shower and toiletries great! The breakfast was brilliant, on the top floor, some tables a... Read more

The hotel is very close to Sol Square and Calle de Mayor which meant easy accessibility to sights and tours and shopping. The staff were very helpful, rooms very good and the breakfast on the roof top was the best. Great choice of foods and drinks, plenty of healthy options and also there was a good play area for children.

Older hotel in the center of Madrid. Rooftop breakfast was good. The room was quite small and was less maintained then our other hotels but certainly adequate. The street below the hotel is a thoroughfare for restaurants and shops. No cars allowed so it was very quiet once the shops closed. Nearby tapas crawl down Calle de la Cruz was super! Close to the Prado as well.

Hotel is really, really nice and staff was SO GREAT. So first we were in small room and it was really small bed but the bathroom was nice and spacious , but bed was right next to curtains and one person was allergic on dust so we ask for bigger room. The other room was really big and the bed was comfortable but our balcony was looking on the main street which was not good because during the night from 24:00 until 02:00 it was so laud that we did not sleep. Otherwise the breakfast was good and t... Read more

Initial impression was not good. Cons: 1. The young man at check-in was dismissive and inconsiderate, not at all welcoming. We actually considered looking for another hotel as we sat in the waiting area and watched him ignore us and our sleepy children for 45 minutes. Finally the 2:00 check-in time came and we were allowed to check in. 2. A very strong fragrance had been sprayed in our room. Not good for those who are sensitive or suffer asthma. Pros: 1. The staff for the rest of the stay wer... Read more

This hotel has a perfect location. Approximately 50 meters away from Puerta del Sol. A few things needs to be upgraded, for example the safety box. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Overall I like this hotel. All the people that work at this hotel are pleasant and helpful.

The staff at this hotel was very friendly and efficient. The hotel is centrally located in Puerta del Sol. It does need to be updated, but for the location and staff this can be overlooked. The location allows you to walk to all tourist attraction.

Front desk is warm and accomodating. They gave us 2 rooms to check in even if we were there before the check in time. Also helped us book transfers to the airport. The rooms are quite small though. No place to keep your bags so if you are carrying medium/large suitcases you will not have enough space on the floor. The bathrooms have all the toiletries and is clean. Quite small but functional. We had a small balcony which was a plus point. Should update the dafety deposit box since it uses a card... Read more

The Petit Palace Londres Madrid was our favorite hotel during a three week trip through Spain and Italy. Arriving from the airport it was a little tricky to find as it is on a small street -Calle Galdo 2, but very close to the Puerta del Sol. Note there is more than one Petit Palace Hotel in Madrid so be aware. First the staff - We came in late after 22 plus hours of travel and were greeted with warmth and humor as we checked in. Location is fantastic right in the middle of all the action. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The actual hotel is not the best. The room is very small, however, it does have a balcony. Breakfast was also just ok nothing too special. They are also in the midst of renovating the lobby. Overall, not a bad hotel just small rooms but can't beat the location

Situated in a lovely location, very friendly staff, comfortable beds only thing that needed to be sorted was the moving floorboards in the room. other wise everything was very well presented and clean. would definitely stay here again, and recommend to family and friends.

The location of this hotel is excellent - right in the middle of everything and although it was close to Puerto del Sol we wern't disturbed by any noise. We booked a king size room as this was the end of our holiday and were very disappointed. Although large the room was tired and knocked around e.g. curtains that had been pulled down and not re-hung and much of the wood work chipped. The bathroom looked as if it had been fairly recently renovated but some of its facilities didn't work. The TV d... Read more

We stayed here for two nights as the first stop of our self-drive tour in Spain and Portugal. We didn't pick up our rental car during this stop until we left for Toledo. We took two-day Pop-on Pop-off sightseeing bus (bust stop is only 100 meter away) as a tool for seeing. It is located near Sol, the city center, most interesting places are within walk distance. Even by taking taxi, we can easily get where we want to go in less than 10 euros. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room is smal... Read more

The room was extremely small even though i paid for a standard double (that is larger than the small one) and there was no relation with the photo in the website. The receptionist (a young man) was not professional at all, as 1. he didn't inform his colleagues about my voucher that included bed & breakfast so they insisted on charging me the breakfast cost (i had to wait for their manager in order to fix their problem)!, 2. he didn't print my boarding pass as he promised & 3. he wasn't helpful i... Offers a nicely location between the Grand Via and Callè Mayor and Plaza del Sol and it's Metro station. Within fine walking distance from the main sights. Nice old building, properly arranged for disabled people. A very good breakfast buffet at top floor (fifth). Room made up every day also with new towels. A wealth of good restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

This hotel is in a central location, close to Plaza del Sol and the Sol Metro. We were able to walk virtually everywhere we wanted to visit. Madrid is a very lively city; this area is particularly busy, right until the early hours of the morning. If you are a light sleeper, you will be aware of outdoor noise until 3 or 4 in the morning. On arrival, we were informed that the room we had booked was very small with a 130cm bed and an interior view. As my husband is 6'2" and I am claustrophobic we ... Read more

My husband and I stayed at the Petit Palace Londres in October 2016 for a weekend break. It was a good location for seeing the sights of Madrid but a little noisy at night as it seems this part of Madrid never sleeps! The room was small but clean, one oddity was the pillows which was a single long pillow across the double bed and then just one normal pillow. The breakfast room was on the 5th floor and was a lovely bright room with an excellent choice of breakfast items - enough to satisfy just a... Read more

The hotel I see situated right at the heart of the city, close to the busy Plaza del Sol. Everything you might need is right around the block! The staff was very friendly and happy to answer all of our question about Madrid. The room even if it was not spacious, it was always clean and cosy. Breakfast was delicious, the lady there was extra friendly every morning! We really enjoyed our stay!
