Great location, bang in the centre of Madrid. Good rooms. It kind of feels there are some structural issues and damp. Really liked breakfast. Some great pastries really fresh. Can't fault it for a mini break at this price.

A great hotel, centrally located so you can walk to all the major attractions. Really tasty and generous buffet breakfast, quiet rooms with powerful showers. Friendly and helpful staff...it was my girlfriends birthday when we stayed and the front desk staff spotted this from her passport and left her a lovely message and wine! Much appreciated. Decent value for money, too.

The hotel is centrally located and therefore most sights are close. Altough rooms and king size beds are very small and the rooms have a strange smell; if you have no special requirements then the hotel is OK; breakfast ist great, staff is very friendly and helpful; there are quiet rooms available, that means you don't hear any noise from the streets, but you have absolutely no view and hear everything from the neighbours, especially when they close their door, which makes a terrible noise, so t... Central location, easy to walk to all the main sites. Good breakfast, including some hot choices. Glass door to bathroom doesn't offer much privacy! View from window was a wall but black out curtains were good.

Excellent location!!. The hotel is very clean. Even though is located in a pedestrian street (Calle del Arenal), the hotel is quite. The rooms are comfortable, and bathroom is very nice, with a modern shower. Sheets and towels fresh every day. The staff is amiable and very helpful.

Small but comfortable. It is a remodeled old building. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom complete with amenities. The only thing is that the room we stayed in hte bathroom wall is a glass door and wall. The door was unhinged and you can hear and see the shadow of the person in the bathroom. I loved the dining hall. It is in a bóveda, it is beautifully lighted and the food selection is fresh and perfect for all breakfast lovers like myself. A great added bonus is that they lend y... Extremely helpful staff in a very central and clean hotel. A pedestrianized street outside so no traffic but this is Madrid so still noisy! The city doesn't sleep! Excellent mattresses in a decent sized room. reasonable rates, didn't opt for breakfast. couldn't recommend it enough for location, just off Puerta del Sol. Staff were very friendly and always ready to provide recommendations for tourists

Nice attendants, nice rooms, clean, cozy but it's in the middle of EVERYTHING, if that's your thing. The noise doesn't enter the room cuz they have super anti noise windows and trust me, you'll need them to recover properly after a wonderful day of partying in Madrid. I recommend it forlocalization VERY MUCH.

I visited this hotel for 3 nights from June 31st 2016 for pride. The location was fantastic and could not be faulted. Very central 50yards from sol metro. The staff were very friendly, room was v clean and spacious and the breakfast was also a pretty good buffet style breakfast. However, we chose this hotel because it said it had air conditioning. It was 95-99 degrees outside during our stay. The room was equipped with what looked like an a/c unit but in no way did the job. Our room was never l... Read more

Petite Palace Hotel in Arenal, by "La Puerta del Sol", a wonderful 3-stars hotel that certainly deserves a higher ranking, closed to all local business, entertainment, great restaurant's and within walking distance of "El Sol" Metro and train station, what else can you ask for ? We stayed at this charming little hotel for 2 nights on our last recent visit to beautiful Madrid and cannot complain, the staff was amazing, always willing to assist with any discrepancies we may have, the rooms are nea... We had a wonderful time at the petit palace. Location is very central. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Since we have one child gluten free diet we appreciated the stay extra for the good care during breakfast (special thanks to Lucena!). When we return to Madrid petit palace will be the place to be.

We stayed in the Petit Palace Arenal hotel for two nights. We are a family of 2 + 4 kids and booked one room for 6 which was great. Two bunk beds and one double bed, two bath rooms and plenty enough space. Friendly staff, A/C, wifi, all you need. Most of all the hotel is located really in the middle of everything - you can't get more central than this location. Last - we highly recommend the sushi place that the hotel had a flyer of standing out in the room.

The hotel is very well located just few meter from Puerta del Sol, which is very practical for a few day visit in Madrid : plenty of bars, restaurants, shopping and monuments to visit can be reached by foot. Rooms are nicely decorated and bathroom is really handy. It was nice to have the spa shower for that category hotel. Staff is kind but not do not take time to explain anything, you need to ask even for basic stuff like 'what time is the breakfast'. On the other hand, it makes the checkin s... Read more

Having booked the Petit Palace Arenal late just before our travel to Madrid, we were pleasantly surprised. OK it's a 3 star hotel, if you want more go for a 4 star, but it was clean, central location just off Puerta del Sol main square, surrounded by shops ad restaurants, and the hop on hop off tourist bus stops nearby on the main road. Breakfast was adequate with a good variety of tasty items. The only down side was a club situated just opposite, so if you are a light sleeper, ask for a quie... Read more

The hotel is very centrally located. Breakfasts were really excellent, thanks to Ruth. The receptionists were all very helpful. Always forget that you don't get a kettle in the room and there's no room service for tea and coffee, which is a shame. All the basics are catered for though and would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is at a very good location. You have the Plaza del Sol 5 minute walk or less to one side and the Royal Palace 10 min walk the other way. Many store and restaurants in the area. We only stayed one night and were able to walk around to the tourist attractions. The hop on hop off bus stop is also close by if you choose to go that route. Saves you time and the walking. We choose the free tour that is available all over the Plaza del Sol and it was great. Overall I loved the hotel and loca... Read more

Geez, I know it's Europe but the room was the smallest I've ever stayed in and I've traveled long and extensively. Literally had to walk/edge sideways along the wall and end of bed to go one side of room to the other. 3/4 height etched Glass door to bathroom with toilet right there when you walk in. Don't trust their pictures. Yes, very good location. Staff helpful but not engaging. "Just the facts mam". Maybe you'll get a better room but it will be a roll of the dice.

Great staff and place is decent. When you compare how much you pay to the service you get its really good! The place is very central and walking distance from most places. I would recommend it for anyone doing a short stay

We moved from another hotel to be closer to the city center, and this place was perfect! Perfect location, clean rooms, and friendly staff. They even had MiFi available for rent so that we could have WiFi everywhere we went.

The room given to us was terrible. When we went in, the room was dusty. One of the lower part of the wall was like ripped off. The upper part of the main door had a small hole when you close it. The safe was also locked when we tried to use it. The toilet had stains on the wall. The password for the wifi did not work on our first try. We were very disappointed considering we were there on honeymoon. We called the front desk and informed about the safe deposit. However, she was not able to reso... Read more

Receptions seems a worse hotel than it really is. room was recently reformed and despite some details in the furniture which a 4 star wouldn't have I'd say it was a comfortable staying. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Too tiny walls though, I could hear noise form neighboring rooms. Location is very convenient for sightseeing. Room size not too much to enjoy staying. just good for business. Receptionists were very friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Petit Palace. Location was great. Keep in mind you are close to everything, so you will hear people walking around and the noise from people coming out of the bar across the street at 3am.. however this is small price to pay for location. You are close to metro, shops, food etc.. The hotel is clean, friendly service. Small but this is to be expected in Spain They have a couple of free bicycles to use so I highly recommend borrowing them to use to see the Retiro ... Read more

We stayed 10 nights at this hotel recently. I picked it because I has such a great experience at the neighbouring Petit Palace Puerto de Sol 3 years ago and that hotel was booked for the room type we needed this time. I am pleased to say the experience this time was just as great. I recommend both hotels. They are clean, safe, and the staff are extremely friendly. Note that they offer portable WiFi rentals (?5/day) and free bicycle rentals, also they helped us with airport transfers. We ... Read more

Rooms are extreeeemly small (they look a lot bigger on the pictures). We booked a room for 3 persons and got an doble bed and a foldaway bed. Door of bathroom can't be closed so your partner can see you on the toilet. Computer for visitors downstairs is not working (if you want to check-in online your flight). Vis-a-vis of the hotel there is a famous nightclub, so during the night you hear people screaming and fighting on the streets. And you hear and feel the metro driving probably underneath t... After my booking error with the hotel, the staff at the Petit went above and beyond to fix and accommodate us even though we did not expect it. The hotel is perfectly situated for walking around Madrid but you may get some loud late night/early morning street noise if you get a suite facing the street. So keep that in mind if a light sleeper. The hotel was simple, clean and functional. No real flash but all the basics done well.

Located in the perfect spot to visit almost every touristic attraction and Madrid. The price is just right, didn't expect to get such a good quality service. The personal and facilities were at their best from start to finish. It's my third time reserving with them, and the only thing I have to complain is the automated air conditioning that is pre-set to the season. Totally recommend it if you are visiting Madrid and want a good, secure, economic and centric place to stay at.
