If you're in Madrid as a tourist, this isn't the best location. Public transit isn't too far away, but it takes about 30 minutes to get to any of the sites that people want to visit in Madrid. The walk to the train isn't so bad; during the day there are a few decent cafes and a nice park to walk by. At night though, this location is really awful for finding food or anything else really. The rooms are pretty bland. This would be a 2-star hotel in the US. The restaurant was pretty awful (like a D... Read more

This relatively modern but characterless 4 star hotel is located in the outskirts of the city centre - it takes 15-20 minutes by taxi (10-12 euros) to get to Puerta del Sol. For tourists, there is nothing interesting within walking distance. Service was within expectations - except during breakfast time, the staffs seemed a bit indifferent and hassled. Looking a bit tired and dated, the room is reasonably sized (by European standards) and reasonably clean. Bottled water is not complimentary ... Read more

The rooms was basic and a bit dated but a good base for football & close airport. Reception area nice & modern. Transport was easy to get around, Uber was great! Basically if you just want somewhere to put your head down & get a decent breakfast then this place is fine, if you want luxury won't be for you x

I spent 4 nights in the hotel with my girlfriend in a Standard room. The building itself is pretty old and it could be better maintained. The room looked empty, there is not that much furniture in it and they are a little bit worn as well. The bathroom is ok, but there are some damaged items as well. The staff is kind and helpful but not professional at all. The location is not as good as they describe it on their website, it takes at least 40 minutes to get to the center of Madrid. All toget... My husband and I have just returned from a 4 nights stay in Madrid and we stayed at the Puente de la Paz. What a fantastic Hotel. The staff are so helpful and friendly and pretty much leave you to get on with things yourself. Our room was spacious, up on the 8th floor so we had some great views of Madrid. Everything in our room was spotlessly clean (I'm an ex Executive Housekeeping Manager so I know what I'm looking for). The Bathroom was also lovely. Breakfast has so much choice and everythin... This is a fairly modern hotel with a good reception area that is well staffed. Rooms are adequate and clean and have a minibar/cold-box as well as tea making facilities. Breakfasts are quite good with a decent selection of everything though items that run out (fruit, eggs) were not replaced/replenished with any degree of alacrity. On our trip, the extent of choice on evening meals was quite limited. Free wifi is available as well as two computers for use by residents. TV has a reasonable selec... Read more

I usually stay in Novotel hotels and in my opinion this one is far bellow company standards. The reception lobby is correct and people at recepcion desk friendly and helpfull. Nevertheless, the room was oldfashioned, with "gotelet" walls, the carpet had stains and was completely worn out. TV was an old (maybe 32" por less) flat screen. The suppletory bed had an extremely thin kind of mat that let you feel the springs and bars underneath. All pillows were square shaped which I don't find partic... Read more

Good hotel at a good location. Can walk by to several places and can also explore place by public transport. Nearby bus stops for hop on hop off and other transport options. Decent breakfast options but not lavish.
