If you choose Novotel you know what you are getting, a good deal during the weekend. The hotel had choosen to turn off the airco and swith to heating cos of the cold weather outside but for Northeners is was too warm, so we asked the front desk if the windows could be opened. Friendly staff, clean and spacious room. Two metro stations with a 10 minutes walk, busstop just outside the hotel. Value for money

A hotel which I know very well, since some years, and is well located (on the Madrid highways) for business purposes. Quite a way from the city centre, so not perfct for sightseeing. Hotel feels like it is ready for some refreshing renovation. Mostly speaking, the hotel remains very acceptable but the rooms and bathrooms require some attention.

Fairly easy to find, on-site underground parking - charged for - modern, clean rooms, reasonable space, everything worked, free Wi-Fi, good choice for breakfast and pretty good quality. Evening food was poor - lack of choice and expensive plus very small portions. Outside pool was lovely to have and for us a very good location, walking distance to where I was working. Slightly noisy area due to traffic. We went to a restaurant that was less than 10 minutes by taxi - Lateral - really good pl... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and 2 children. We found the staff to be the best we have ever come across. They really are the most polite, helpful and friendly staff you could meet. We were given a smoking room on the 4th floor when we arrived and we asked to be moved. This was handled efficiently without delay or fuss. I'm so grateful to the reception staff for this. The room was clean and had everything you might need, the only negative for us was the size. It was a superior room b... Read more

Lovely hotel! Quickly settled. modern room! It has everything you need! It's nice that there's a tea-coffee maker in the room! Good location location! Very friendly staff! Breakfast could be more varied, but tasty! Good menu of the day in the hotel bar. Relaxing pool! All very much!

Stayed only 1 night - arrived about 16:00 by car in thursday afternoon and the traffic was huge. Car park of the hotel is spacy. Pool is ok - sun is shining at least in afternoon. Not very meny sunbeds - so it might be there is no seat for everyone. Restaurant was ok and service was fast and good. Room is cozy and easy to find everything (after You have once been in Novotel). also checkout was fast as we vere checkout very early (before 07:00).

I read this is supposedly a 4* hotel. Well, it's hardly that from the room I had.. What I found: -The room is in urgent need of refurbishment, the carpets were old and grubby -The mattress is patheticly light, one end rises from the frame when one sits on the other end of the bed. (And I am hardly a heavy-set person) -The WiFi is unuseable -I did enjoy the good breakfast spread, and the one cheery english-speaking wait staff there

Check in was quick but I was very unhappy with my room which was very old fashioned on the 1st floor so quickly someone arrived and took me to see a room on the 6th floor which was lovely. Room has all the amenities including full length mirror, hairdryer tea and coffee and complimentary mini bar with water etc. downside wifi is terrible (cannot watch Netflix) and no upgrade option and TV channels are awful. Pouring with rain so I made the mistake to order room service, my first 5 choices were n... Read more

The hotel was great, the room looked really nice and felt very comfortable. The breakfast was really nice, a buffet with many different choices and very nice service (in general) from the staff. No complaints about this hotel and I would advise it if you don't mind being outside the center. It's about 20/30 min with the bus (1,5â?¬) and it stops in the main areas of Madrid. The improvements that could be made for this hotel to just be perfect, in my opinion, would be to get better internet wifi... Read more

Loved the pool. Breakfast was great. Room service menu was crap. There wasn't much to eat around the hotel. Staff was very helpful. There was a bus that went into town. The hotel was very near the airport

The hotel was clean and reception staff were brilliant. Our first room stunk of smoke but staff were understanding and quick to give us another room situated on the same floor. Plenty of clean bath towels and they even provide blue towels for when using the pool. The hotel is away from the tourist attractions but the bus stop is just outside and it's a 40 min journey on bus number 53 to the centre puerta del sol, costing about 1.50e. If not the metro stop is a 10 min walk away (line 7, parc de a... Read more

Only stayed for one night, the hotel was nice and modern no complaints. Clean bathroom and comfortable big beds. The buffet breakfast offered great food with cereal, fruits, toast, bacon and eggs and a coffee machine (nice eating area). Located a bit out from city centre.

Good hotel at a good location. Can walk by to several places and can also explore place by public transport. Nearby bus stops for hop on hop off and other transport options. Decent breakfast options but not lavish.

I usually stay in Novotel hotels and in my opinion this one is far bellow company standards. The reception lobby is correct and people at recepcion desk friendly and helpfull. Nevertheless, the room was oldfashioned, with "gotelet" walls, the carpet had stains and was completely worn out. TV was an old (maybe 32" por less) flat screen. The suppletory bed had an extremely thin kind of mat that let you feel the springs and bars underneath. All pillows were square shaped which I don't find partic... Read more

This is a fairly modern hotel with a good reception area that is well staffed. Rooms are adequate and clean and have a minibar/cold-box as well as tea making facilities. Breakfasts are quite good with a decent selection of everything though items that run out (fruit, eggs) were not replaced/replenished with any degree of alacrity. On our trip, the extent of choice on evening meals was quite limited. Free wifi is available as well as two computers for use by residents. TV has a reasonable selec... Read more

My husband and I have just returned from a 4 nights stay in Madrid and we stayed at the Puente de la Paz. What a fantastic Hotel. The staff are so helpful and friendly and pretty much leave you to get on with things yourself. Our room was spacious, up on the 8th floor so we had some great views of Madrid. Everything in our room was spotlessly clean (I'm an ex Executive Housekeeping Manager so I know what I'm looking for). The Bathroom was also lovely. Breakfast has so much choice and everythin... I spent 4 nights in the hotel with my girlfriend in a Standard room. The building itself is pretty old and it could be better maintained. The room looked empty, there is not that much furniture in it and they are a little bit worn as well. The bathroom is ok, but there are some damaged items as well. The staff is kind and helpful but not professional at all. The location is not as good as they describe it on their website, it takes at least 40 minutes to get to the center of Madrid. All toget... The rooms was basic and a bit dated but a good base for football & close airport. Reception area nice & modern. Transport was easy to get around, Uber was great! Basically if you just want somewhere to put your head down & get a decent breakfast then this place is fine, if you want luxury won't be for you x

This relatively modern but characterless 4 star hotel is located in the outskirts of the city centre - it takes 15-20 minutes by taxi (10-12 euros) to get to Puerta del Sol. For tourists, there is nothing interesting within walking distance. Service was within expectations - except during breakfast time, the staffs seemed a bit indifferent and hassled. Looking a bit tired and dated, the room is reasonably sized (by European standards) and reasonably clean. Bottled water is not complimentary ... Read more

If you're in Madrid as a tourist, this isn't the best location. Public transit isn't too far away, but it takes about 30 minutes to get to any of the sites that people want to visit in Madrid. The walk to the train isn't so bad; during the day there are a few decent cafes and a nice park to walk by. At night though, this location is really awful for finding food or anything else really. The rooms are pretty bland. This would be a 2-star hotel in the US. The restaurant was pretty awful (like a D... Read more
