This is a 3 star hotel and, frankly, we hadn't expected it to be so good. The service, the cleanliness, the staff, the breakfast - everything was top-class. And it's located quite close to the Gregorio Maranon station, so everything's pretty close. I'd strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants to spend time in a cozy place in Madrid.

When I found the right reception, the check-in was friendly and swift. The hotel is located in 2 buildings, each with its own reception. Interesting concept... I spent 4 nights at this hotel during a business seminar, and the event was held in "our" part of the hotel, but all meals were taken in the other. My room was rather large, OK appointed and clean, and even had a small balcony facing the street. The street was not that noisy, so I could keep an open window during the night instead of usi... The newly renovated Hotel Zurbano is an excellent choice for couples travelling for business or just visiting Madrid. Located very near The Castellana is walking distance t the underground (el Metro) and a number of city buses. The junior suites are spacious and the king size beds really comfortable. The breakfast is first class including both north American type of food and traditional Spanish delicacies. The service is friendly. If you need ironing you need to ask for an iron and because they... Read more

I liked Hotel Zurbano generally. Wonderful lighting and look . But.. may room was so small it was difficult to move. The b athroom was nice and just a bit smaller in space than the living area. My room 702 had a great view of the firescape. But regardless I recommend this hotel . Oh btw , restaurant is closed for dinner on weekends. Excellent breakfast!.

We arrived around 8 am and we got checked in. This was unexpected. We were able to sleep, due to jet-lag. The hotel is very clean, a bit minimalist but everything works. The shower had good hot water. The bed was very comfortable. The staffs were helpful. There is a restaurant for breakfast buffet. Good selection. The neighborhood has few restaurants but a few blocks away, just 15 mins walk, there are more selection of restaurants. The neighborhood is safe. Free wifi too.

We got a lovely room with a little balcony facing the street. They provided a nice, comfortable cot for our little one. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet (included) was superb. Staff at the restaurant were extremely nice. So were most of staff at reception desk. Location is not right at the center, but it is easily accessible via taxi. We walked along Paseo de la Castellana all the way to the Prado on the first day: a lovely walk. There are a few restaurants nearb... Read more

The individual rooms are all low cost, interior with a window to the back stairs and with no sunlight. There was no other alternative and I had no choice but to take this low cost room. Breakfast was ok In general and knowing that the this hotel has recently been upgraded to 4 stars, I don't believe the quality overall is of a 4 star unfortunately.

Hotel was pretty good though a little away from the centre. Staff a little uninterested at times. Room as clean and modern though difficult to get the aircon working. Some nice bars and restaurants in the area to walk out too.

Visited for a 3 day work trip. Even before the check in time, the disappointment began. There are steps before you enter the hotel, and I had to lift all my luggage to get into the hotel. I could not drag my roller bags up as there was no incline ramp to go up. Of course, there was no one to help also. After check-in the lift was another disappointment, as it was tiny, shabby, noisy and suffocating even with just 2 people inside. The room was ok, nothing great or bad about the room. The Room ... Average hotel near metro and bus. The hotel is good for business people and for those not wanting to be absolutely central. Quite near good selection of bars and restaurants in nearby road. I would stay again even if it's not my favourite NH hotel.

This visit was my second this year to Madrid, where I stayed in this hotel both times. My only complaint is that the doors to the rooms slam constantly. Both the other guests and the maids make so much noise with the slamming. The hotel could simply install devices to fix this annoying problem because the people simply are not going to change their ways.

We stayed at the NH Zurbano for one night and really enjoyed it. The hotel itself is brand new. The rooms are spacious and super comfortable. Everything was spotless and the bathroom was really nice. The buffet breakfast was also lovely with great selection of cold and warm items. Location wise, it is a bit further out of the tourist area which makes it quieter. I enjoyed it but see how some travelers might find it a bit far. It is still super easy to walk around and it's the best way of seeing ... Read more

Arrived here on a hot day and were greeted with ice cold drinks and refresher towels, great start. Rooms are basic, but the staff are very friendly, informative and generous with their knowledge of the city. Not so centrally located but public transport is no problem.

Nicely designed, simple room with comfortable bed. Quite basic in terms of services and amenities, but fine for a short stay. A few little annoyances like a badly fitted shower screen meaning water leaked all over the bathroom, balcony doors that didn't close properly or lock, and my request for an iron one day was noted but ignored. Buffet breakfast is adequate and the location is a short metro ride from the centre of the city.

Nice hotel, well located close to the administrative center of Madrid. Nice breakfast with very good local product. The room is nice with good wifi connection. Even if you are street side the room was quiet. Not close to Madridi city center but the Metro is 150m away.

This is a newly constructed hotel located in the main business area of Madrid. For me it was a 5 minute walk from office. The hotel is very close (2 min walk) to a metro station - Gregorio Marañón, so town centre is very easily accessible. The staff was extremely friendly and breakfast was average but good enough. Rooms are nice with modern decor. Overall its slightly expensive, but very good for business stays.

I've been there each weekend during a whole year because of work. Rooms and facilities are renewed and its staff is kind and helpful. It's near from la Castellana, from Santiago Bernabeu and from the city center. It has a subway stop 3 minutes away walking. It's a very quiet and safe area. The hotel has a gym and its buffet is amazing, with fresh fruit, american breakfast and everything you need to start a good day. I'd surely recommend it!

Recent 5 night stay at this hotel. We booked a standard double room, and on arrival felt the room was a bit small for 5 night stay, so for 22 euros extra a night we got a bigger room. Bed comfortable, coffee pod machine, excellent bathroom. But as usual only one place for one suitcase. Double room, two people, two bags! Only ever one suitcase space allocation! Breakfast included in the room cost. Buffet breakfast was varied and nice, but the staff need some training in dealing with guests. Mo... Read more

Excellent hotel. Friendly helpful staff. Rooms were in first class condition. A little out of the centre but taxi was reasonable and public transit was easily accessible. A small bakery next door gave a better option for breakfast as the hotel prices were a little steep. Would consider the NH chain in the future.

Really enjoyed my 3 night stay here. Very comfortable bed and a good sized room for a city centre hotel. All very clean and excellent service. Breakfast was excellent as good as many 5 star hotels I've stayed at. Would be delighted to stay here again.

A simple modern hotel, nothing really special, but ok. One problem, and that is s very bad smell in the bathroom. I arrived very late and when entering my room, the window was wide open and the room a bit smelly. So the cleaning people knew and acted upon. But still No action was taken and guest were just placed there. I complained do lets see what happens..

One of the better hotels i have stayed in Spain. There are no tea/coffee making facility or mini bar but the breakfast is scrumptous. Wifi signal is strong in the room. There are a few steps to carry your luggage up the stair at the front entrance so be prepared. Reception is friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very basic and doesn't go above and beyond servicewise. It serves its purpose and meets your expectations as a not too expensive well located place to sleep. The standard rooms are very small and the hotel in general is normal.

Just off the Paseo La Castellana, within walking distance of the shops of Serrano and on the Metro line to get you anywhere you need. Recently renovated, the Junior Suite room was spacious. I was giv n one with a balcony which was nice, but unfortunately did not have any chairs/table.

The rooms are quite small, but serves its purpose. Beds are great actually, I always sleep very well in them! Bathrooms are made for really short people (I'm 184 cm, not a giant) as the light in the mirror crosses over my face so that I cannot see anything but my body. Hard to style the hair in that condition. For my work the location is perfect and a lot of restaurants are nearby too choose from for your taste. Breakfast is great, a lot of choices, the only thing missing is perhaps some sort of... Read more
