The hotel is in an ideal location, a hundred metres of so along a pleasant downhill mall to the heart of Madrid - Puerta del Sol - one of the city's best known places. You're a few minutes away from Plaza Mayor, the Royal Palace, and plenty of other highlights within walking distance, including numerous bars and restaurants. Our room was on the 9th level, attractive, clean and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the city. Unfortunately scaffolding to repair some of the facade meant that the ... Read more

First visit to Madrid we'd stayed in the Praktik Bakery in Barcelona so we had high hopes for this Metropol. The hotel is positioned next to the Gran Via and shopping area which makes it quite central and handy for bars, restaurants and museums. The hotel itself is in an old building and its entrance is between a McDonalds and a Tapas restaurant. Its currently having work done on the exterior and has a giant advertisement wrapped around the front of the building so don't pay for a room with a vi... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for just one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location was perfect - right next to major shopping and in walking distance to everything else I wanted to see. The rooftop is also stunning. The hotel was quiet and very clean. Only downside - the room we stayed in was a little small - but otherwise the hotel was great and I wish we could have stayed longer than a night.

Extremely central location in the busy commercial district. We stayed in a Superior Room which was large and had good wardrobe space, a desk and an armchair. The bathroom was nice with a good shower and lovely toiletries and a hairdryer provided. However, our room and bathroom had a bit of a funny smell to it (drainage?) The soundproofing in our room was good too seeing as how central the hotel is. We paid for breakfast and thought it would be provided in the hotel's nice reception area, ho... Read more

We spent a week in Madrid and I am VERY happy I chose this hotel. Great Stay - They room were had was inside room. I thought it would at a minimum be a court view. But alas, it was concrete/air conditioner view. The room was also very small. While the maids were cleaning, I happened to see another room and it was super large. So make sure you ask for one of the larger rooms. One of the great perks about this hotel is they gave you a portable wifi gadget. It was absolutely PERFECT!!! The rooftop... Read more

Hotel is located in Gran Via which is a perfect location . In good reach of the city centre, mesmerising streets and parks. Hotel has a very good first impression and rooms are comfortable. Some of them are tiny but most importantly clean. Each room has a safety box and usual hotel amenities, such us shampoos and conditioners. When we arrived we were very suprised. Positively suprised. It's very quiet and safe. Staff working there seem very professional and well trained-cleaners-checkin de... Read more

This was by far my best stay in Spain! The hotel has a prime location on Gran Via. The ladies at the front desk were warm, inviting, and very helpful! The room looked just like the website pictures and were much more spacious than I would have guessed. The place is also very bright and clean. I wish I could have stayed longer but I would definitely come back to this establishment in the future. Highly recommended!!

We stayed at the hotel during our citybreak in Madrid. It was simply wonderful. The location was superb which meant that we were in the liveliest part of the city within the walking distance to almost everywhere. Our room as the rest of the hotel was modern, tastefully furnished, extremely clean and provided all the facilities one would wish for. There was a roof terrace with incredible panaromic views. The staff informed us that we would be welcome to use the terrace and bring in food- drinks if we... Lovely room, really nice helpful staff. Great location very central and easy to find our way around. The hotel is having the facade renovated but we were given a room with a gap in the scaffolding and there was always the rooftop area which was a great place to relax with a beer and wonder what the rest of the world was doing. Definitely a place to return to.

The location of the hotel is really great, near lots of restaurants, stores and a metro station only a few steps away. The rooms are quite minimalist, well decorated and comfortable. The only thing we wish we had been told is the hotel is under some construction work, which blocked our room view (we booked a room with an exterior view). However, when we talked to the receptionist, they solved our problem the next day and we ended up staying in a room next to the rooftop with an amazing view. We ... Read more

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 3 nights. The first thing is the location which is super central. The hotel itself is nice and modern. Rooms are minimalistic, clean and tidy. The building's facade is undergoing renovation - so don't expect views from any room. But at least its not noisy. nothing to be too impressed about the hotel expect for the location. The staff is good and ready to help.

Absolutely fabulous boutique hotel. The staff were excellent especially Raquel on reception, she was very helpful and always smiling. The roof terrace was great, you can take your on food and drink and watch the wonderful sunset. The room we had was very comfortable(303) and faced on to Casa Monteras which was always buzzing day and night, but when you went to bed it was so quiet.Because the do not do breakfast you can get it at Tapa Tapa next door. You can buy a tea bag at reception for 1euro and make... Quirky hotel in the centre of Madrid. It was undergoing some exterior renovations which didn't affect us at all. The room had a double bed and bathroom and a single bed and another bathroom. The best feature of the hotel was its terrace on the roof which gave a great view of the city only spoils slightly by the scaffolding. What a great place to relax after a day in the city - with a long cool drink!!!! Not a fancy hotel but comfortable bed, clean room, central location AND the roof terrace mak... Read more

Good location for shopping or sightseeing. Great hotel very arty decor. Friendly helpful staff. Internet was a pain. The hotel was having exterior work done so there was a little banging going on and No view. But we were warned and given a lovely little gift.

To find this place, head to the doorway between Tapa Tapa (restaurant) and McDonald. Go to the back and take the elevator to the 1st floor where the reception is located. The reception area is a cool spot with comfortable chairs, tables to work on and a coffee machine. The lady at the front desk was friendly when we were checking in. On the 9th floor you have access to the terrace. Nice place to lounge and relax with a good view of the city. Our room was located on the 3rd floor facing the busy... Read more

This hotel shares the building with other hotels and a hostel, don't let that put you off as the rooms are nice, clean and the beds are comfortable with a fantastic roof top terrace. As there is no bar you can take your own drinks up to the terrace. The location of the hotel is great for sightseeing and again don't be put off by the ladies of the night on the street outside as they are there in the day too and it's the equivalent of Buchanan St in Glasgow nobody seems to bother. Hotel is probabl... Read more

Very comfortable bad, great location (closes to everything! Didn't even used the public transportation!), comfortably designed and wonderful staff. Coffee/tea to go 24/7 and the top terrace is an amazing bonus (bring a bottle of wine or beer and enjoy the sunset)

Great value hotel, rooms are more than good, and the rooftop is a huge plus...speacially during summer. It has everything needed for sunbathing and a marvelous 360º view of Madrid. The only cons is the location, the Gran Via, even if is central is kind of dangerous.
