This hotel was amazing . From getting stranded in madrid with our other hotel being a dump. The receptionist was amazing in helping so find a room .which was amazing . And given us advice in finding our way around madtid and a map in all attractions .This hotel is a hidden gem.

Noisy at night, as are many hotels in Madrid. Lots of shower nozzles, but not all of them worked. A few ants in the room. Nice breakfast, but a little pricey. I did like the balcony on our room. Also, only one plug close to the bed. Had to charge my phone across the room. That's weird when you use it for an alarm clock.

The A/C is my only complaint . As soon as we arrive we found out they had the heater on even when the weather was around 60 degrees . We couldn't control our room's temperature. The room had only one window and even when outside was nice the room was hot. We went immediately to El Corte Ingles to buy a fan and that helped a lot. The Manager explained to me that was " the normal " in Madrid at this season . He gave us a complementary breakfast for the rest of the week and he reimburse to us the ... Read more

Hotel is in a fantastic location. Lobby is beautifully decorated. Our room was small I believe it was 507 not 100% sure. Decoration was a little dated to be honest. Beds were not overly comfortable. Air conditioning in the room was completely broken and room was very hot at night which made sleeping uncomfortable. It probably wasn't that bad in late March but in July, August ETC it is going to be a real issue for guests if not addressed. In its current state probably would try somewhere e... Read more

I can only say that this is a great hotel. I booked a last minute, the morning of my arrival, and the price was 84 Europe for a 4 star hotel!!!!! Very clean, luxurious and the staff is very friendly. Definitely recommend this hotel, located near Plaza Major and Plaza del Sol.

The place is good, centrally located, good eateries around. The hotel rooms are good and sleep was comfortable. The breakfast spread is excellent. Excellent WiFi. The number of TV channels was however limited.

I stayed at this place while in Madrid for a conference, and it was ok. Nice breakfast, and convenient location, 5 minutes from Sol. However, It was a bit complicated the booking process, and the room was dirty (!), and rather humid and dark. At the end, I think it is a bit overpriced and not really a 4 stars. Overall, it was ok. But in case I will go back to Madrid, I don't think I would like to go back to this hotel..

I must preface my comments by saying we are not overly experienced travellers and tend to not spend a lot of money on hotels but value for money wise Maria Elena Palace was top notch! I am in a wheelchair and the disabled room we had was excellent! Location was very handy for us for my wife pushing me to see many of the main tourist attractions in the area. We didn't use public transport but stations are not a long walk. The hotel impressed with an air of class as soon as we checked in and ... Read more

Hotel was being renovated during our visit, but caused no inconvenience. Great location, right in the centre of the city and very close to Sol station (metro and train). Good clean room with air conditioning and free wifi, comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great value for money, we would highly recommend.

This hotel is currently under refurbishment but looks promising to be something special once finished. In the meantime the building work causes no disruption to guests. Room was large, modern and comfy. Good wifi and delicious breakfast. No complaints and would like to come back once its complete. Great location for exploring Madrid.

We stayed here for four nights and loved it! Great hotel. Rooms aren't too big but they are comfortable and clean. The location is great - very central! It would take us barely 4 minutes to walk to Puerto de sol - a very central station and square. Barely 10 minutes to gran via - another very central location. Everything was walking distance and we barely had to take the metro or cab during our stay. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to be in the city centre. The breakfast was gr...
