Right in the middle of the famous Gran Via st. a few minutes walking from all attractions. Room OK, very hot in it and there is no way to change the temperature, a little breathless ... crew ok, usual very busy. It is hard to this place "Home".

Excellent hotel right in the middle of Madrid on Gran Via perfect for family holidays or business. You can walk to all the major tourist destinations, making it perfect to go back and relax in the afternoon after walking the city, before going out for dinner. Very stylish lobby and lobby bar and friendly staff. Rooms are nice and clean.

Having previously visited Madrid and having previously stayed at The Emperador, on my return to Madrid with my Son, I decided to stay at The Emperador again as the last time I visited with my Wife the Hotel was excellent. This time it was better, from the welcome one receives upon arrival, the excellent accommodation the fantastic friendlieness of all who work here, is simply second to none. When I return to Madrid, I will stay at The Emperador, and before finalise my travel dates, I will ensur... Read more

Rooftop have a good area with swimming pool, great for refreshments on the summer time. The location is also great. The breakfast is good but quite expensive for Spain. The room was old and small. I'd come back just to use the pool area, as it isn't just for guests, but I wouldn't book a room again for this price.

Disappointed with the Welcoming and Check In experience. No one to welcome us at the entrance, we had to look for the bell boy to help with luggage. Check in not smiling and bored with their job. Rooms are small and old. Staff is not very welcoming and friendly so far. The only good thing is the location.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 days and was definitely impressed with the way the hotel looked, service and the location. Rooms were big and spacious enough for me and my wife and because it was centrally located in Madrid city centre it was easy to get around to places on foot. if ever I come back to Madrid I would definitely book this hotel up again

Located in a very interesting part of Madrid, prepare for a lot of walking, all the main tourist sights are within range and the hotel is a comfortable place to return to. The room decor and carpet were past their sell by date but the cost was reasonable and would remind you that Spain is also coming out of a deep recession like many countries. The staff were friendly and the food was fine

Read some great review about this hotel and the price was manageable. The hotel was close to lots of different metro station. When I stepped into the lobby, I was amazing with how grand it looks and the location was perfect. We got upgraded to a superior room which I was really happy about. Once I stepped into our room I was really disappointed. The room was really OLD. I understand that it is an old hotel, but the room looked very worn down and old. The furniture's were really old as well. I ... Read more

This hotel has a perfect location on the Gran Via. From here we walked and walked as we got to see Madrid at its best. So many great must-see locations are accessible from the hotel. It is an older more formal building but they have worked on modernizing the interior. I though the rooms were comfortable and well taken care of. Staying here gave me a feel for the historical Madrid I truly was looking for. The breakfast was good with plenty to choose from although at times the food was cold, the... Read more

The hotel is in an excellent location. The room was modern and comfortable. Breakfast offered everything you would want. There was not a good lounge or restaurant. The Club room was a big disappointment as it had very few chairs and did not offer wine. Would stay there again because of location and the quality of the room.
