Stayed here for five night in May. The room was fantastic with its two floors, two small balconies and a neat and fun layout of the room. The house keeping kept it really nice, tidy and clean. All the staff spoke English well, close to perfect! This is something you can't take for granted when traveling around. The breakfast was more then nice enough, and recommendations from the receptionists for places to eat later on was very good! Location of the hotel was perfect for someone who likes to ... Read more

Loved staying here and loved our loft room! They let us leave our bags to go sightseeing when we arrived early. Breakfast was good and their coffee machine was awesome! Great location for the main sights of Madrid!

Wק can define our holiday fantastic vacation thanks to the hotel and the family atmosphere. The hotel located in the heart of Madrid between Plaza Major and Sol Square. The service was great, kind and family when the team tried to respond to every question and request for help. The mobile WiFi We received by the hotel allowed us mobile web communication in all parts of Madrid and Toledo. Breakfasts were delicious, served tasteful and varied. Will definitely come back and visit when will be ... Read more

I stayed at this hotel one week ago with my friend and cousin. It is a very trendy boutique hotel in a great location. It is close to the Palacio Real and the Gran Via. We had room #206. It was a loft room perfect for 3 people. It had a small kitchen, 2 bathrooms ( 1 shower) Double bed in loft area with single bed downstairs. Decorated so cute!. 2 balconies. Their breakfast buffet is very good, plenty to chose from and delicious! They also have portable wi-fi which came in handy as we... Read more

we stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. we took the duplex - great room, great value for money - you get a little cool apartment in a very good price. The hotel is modern and newly renoveted. Location is really perfect - in the heart of the city, but in a nice and quite street (literally one minute walk from callao) The team is so nice and helpful (thanks Barbara) - helped us with everything, remembered our private names and purpose of the visit, made us feel at home. We will come back. NIr

5 American women stayed at Rooommate Laura in Madrid for 3 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful while we were there. (one staff member was a bit rude, but the others made up for it) Our rooms were wonderful and filled with all the amenities. The proximity to Plaza Major, the Prado and San Miguel Market, was easy to walk. The rooms had a small kitchenette, sitting area and plenty of room to congregate.

We stayed 5 nights in a family room and had a fantastic stay. The hotel is very, very central (between Gran Via and Sol) and while there is a bit of noise, if you're tired after a day out it doesn't matter! The room was huge - a big downstairs with living space and twin beds, big shower room, kitchenette (at an extra charge which we didn't take, though the full size fridge is handy for bottles of water etc) and then an upstairs loft area with double bed and an extra loo. The room had two huge do... Read more

MY wife and I stayed at Room Mate Laura for a night on a layover. First, the location is superb, easy walking distance to restaurants and bars. When we arrived, the staff was very helpful and showed us a map of where we were and made some really nice recommendations. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and plenty of hot water. Thank you Room Mate Laura!

Just back from a five day stay. The location is excellent and the room I had was nice. You can have breakfast up to 12 noon and this is excellent too: great coffee, tomatoes and oranges that actually have some taste, and very goo cooked food. But the best thing about this place is the people that work there: such nice helpful capable people with nice attitudes. Two things that needed fixing in my room were attended to within minutes, and on my last day, just as I was going, I had a problem sendi... Read more

Staff amazing & genuine, we wanted a balcony, purchased a duplex ste to insure, what we got was a window that opened to a 4" platform this is hardly a balcony. Crazy and dangerous staircase up to loft, beds very uncomfortable, great location, make sure you get the Wimate free wifi around the city

Excellent location. 90% of the tourist attractions we wanted to vibist were within walking distance of the hotel. It was one of the few very central hotels that offered breakfast until 12 and in a city like Madrid with children this makes a real difference. We had a lovely room with a kitchen perfect for a family of four. The staff was really friendly and very helpful. They went the extra mile helping us to book a "tablao" that was early, short and nearby so we could all go ( Cardamomo). They ex... Read more

Excellent and knowlegeable staff who go out of their way to be helpful. Modern decor, but rooms are quite large with a decent sized bathroom. Breakfast buffet is varied and well worth the 9.95 euros (not 6 euros as many reviewers have stated). Central location makes everything close and walkable. The hotel is in a quiet and safe area.

This is a great hotel in good location. Modern and funky. Bed is comfortable, good air conditioning. Breakfast is offered at a reasonable rate and was enjoyable. Only feedback is that I wasn't keen on sushi only room service and found it hard to open the shampoo and body wash. Look trendy but not easy to get open. Staff are friendly and helpful. Can recommend it.

This is a very modern establishment in a great location near the Opera metro station and close to Plaza del Sol which is a good reference point for the city sights. We got a taxi from the airport at 30 euro fixed price which was well worth it for the time saving and convenience for a couple. We had a loft room which had a groovy glass-walled ensuite bathroom in the loft. The staff were really attentive and helpful. This is the second time we have stayed in a Room Mates Hotel, and will continue to look for this chain, of hotels as they are very hard to beat for quality and value for money. We chose the Laura Hotel of the 4 in Madrid, as they had the largest rooms. We ended up on the top floor, with the bonus of looking over the roof tops. Big comfortable bed, couch, mini bar and bathroom. The safe was also free and very easy to use. Excellent breakfasts serving from 7.00am to 11.00am. When we leaving ... Read more

They were expecting us and had our rooms ready. We had 3 Duplex rooms for 4 nights. They were modern, very clean, and soooo roomy! First off, the folks working there are very nice and very helpful; problem is we had to find that out due to problems with our room, which was 201. Be forewarned and try not to get that room. The problem was that the ac in the room was not blowing cold and was very noisy-it was making an incessant rattling sound. We expressed our concern to the front desk and asked to change rooms, but they had supposedly had no other rooms for that night. They sent a repairman up and he tried to fix it with no ... Read more

The beds are extremely comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Europe. The wifi worked great and the portable wifi they provide guests to take around Madrid was very helpful. Stayed here with the family in July 2016. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, hence the price I guess, and we could literally easily walk to all destinations that are of interest to visitors of fantastic Madrid. Our visit coincided with the gay-pride weekend, which is not necessarily my crowd but it certainly made for a very colourful, lively and entertaining weekend with lots of festivities, music and so on. Good times. Room Mate Laura's rooms are spacious and adequate but can be a... Read more

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and had a nice stay. At first we were a little unsure about the hotel when we arrived. There was a very strong smell when you entered the lobby. It was so strong I thought we might need to find a different hotel because I was getting a headache. Once we arrived in our room, we no longer smelled the strong air freshener/perfume smell from the lobby, but our room had a strong cleaning product smell. Luckily this dissipated over time and we opted to not hav... Read more

We booked this hotel for my a trip with my wife and two daughters because of the excellent reviews and the ability for all four of us to stay in a single room for a very affordable price. The overall space was about the size of a normal American hotel room but it was achieved with a double pullout bed in a narrow first floor with a double bed in the loft above. We have visited Madrid over ten years and this time we choose Room Mate Laura Hotel. We had a very spacious Duplex deluxe room with two floors and kitchen. Staff was always friendly and smiling and breakfast was great. Well maintained hotel and much more better than three stars.

Room Mate Laura was lovely and the staff were friendly. There is a bright, modern reception area. We had booked a duplex room; it was massive with a really high ceiling.
