The hotel is very close to the centre. The main problem is that the hotel has a restaurant under the rooms with live music which makes it impossible to sleep before 2am. When we stayed there the hotel started with the refurbishment at 7am on a Sunday so it was a very short sleep for us. When we mentioned this to the reception they apologised and told us that the management would get it touch for a compensation, but we never hear from them. So for us never again this hotel !

The hotel is located in the very heart of the "Salamanca" district, which means, the Golden Mile as well as the Retiro Park are in short walking distance. Also, some of the most popular restaurants in Madrid are nearby - which is a great advantage, but also the main handicap of the hotel. Fancy "Quintin"-Restaurant is located in the basement of the hotel (breakfast is served in the restaurant's premises). However, the crowds of people coming and going, as well and especially their cars, make a l... Read more

I visited with my 10 year old son to watch Real Madrid play. This hotel is in a great position, is fashionably styled and very comfy beds. The only downside was the noise from the bar on the ground floor. We were on the first floor and were overlooking the Lamborghini valet parking, great for car spotting, not so great for sleep at 2am. Hotel staff were excellent, dealt with hotel transfers and locked away our luggage for the day until our flight.

The room where I stayed was quite big and clean. The bathroom was very big with bath tub and shower. What I didn't like is that they put me just next to the lift and I felt I was sharing the room with the people outside waiting for the lift. Not sure if the hotel was fully booked, but I think they should give those rooms when they don't have any other room available. I was too tired when I got back to the room to ask to change. Also, I don't know also if they consider themselves as a boutique h... Read more

Comfortable big room, with great shower, very nice breakfast buffet and service was friendly, helpful and 24/7. Good wifi and a cheap option for "wifi to go" and free bicycle to rent. You can arrive at any moment even at midnight, to check in. Location is excellent for exploring Madrid and there are many good restaurants in the neighborhood.

The hotel was clean and the service was great. It was our honeymoon and they sent a bottle of champagne to the room, which was nice. Rooms are small, and bathrooms are not very private (glass walls all around), so you better feel comfortable with whom you're staying with.

Best location in town between high fashion boutiques and excellent restaurants. Madrid is a great city for food, shopping and art. The Prado Museum is one of the leading musea in the world with a beautiful collection of the Habsburg dynasty, and the collection Thyssen Bornemitza has a great variety on different periods in painting.

The hotel was ideally situated for museums, Buen Retiro park, restaurants, and metro stops. We would give the hotel a 5+ rating for the location and if visiting museums and enjoying great restaurants is a priority, then this is the perfect Madrid hotel. Also, the breakfast buffet was quite good and a nice start to the day. The wifi was also quite good. We had a 3rd floor room above the Quintin restaurant (on first floor) and with the fan on for "white noise" felt that the room was quiet. Ho... Read more

I arrived unexpectedly in Madrid (passport issues)...and I walked into PP EMBASSY off the street. They were fully booked but Christina called their sister hotels -- unfortunately no luck. But she allowed me to use their computer...and while I was booking another hotel, the PP ART GALLERY called to tell her they had a cancellation. A short walk led me to another fashionably designed and decorated hotel with an amazing staff. The room was spacious, well appointed, with a very comfortable bed...... Read more

We booked through booking.com and had received a confirmation for early check in at midnight. After arriving exhausted and ready to crash the hotel lobby would not allow us to check in claiming we were incorrect. This resulted in 3-4 hours of back and forth on the phone with an end result of our confirmation being correct and the hotel being incorrect. Thankfully our booking agent got us a great deal and a credit because the hotel wanted to charge us more. AVOID the room for 4 adults as it is ... Read more

We really enjoyed our stay at the Petit Palace Art Gallery. The building itself is tastefully designed and sympathetically too as it is a lovely old and elegant building. The welcome from the personnel was warm and friendly. The bedroom was very well appointed with all the amenities you would expect of a hotel of this class in a very chic quarter and street in Madrid. A comfortable bed, a well stocked mini-bar, easy to operate safe, AC, large screen TV with many channels and film options. Again... Read more

Everything is OK, very nice, very quiet... the dinning room is made with taste and my whole experience was really wonderful. The only minor suggestion from my side is to fix the beds, they are moving too much on the floor, as if they are positioned on ice :). But it is no big deal, overall impression is excellent!

We recently spent a long weeked at the Petit Palace Art Gallery. The hotel is very elegant and intimate, not too big but in an up-market Boutique style though reasonably priced. Stylish 4 star hotel in the heart of Madrid in Salamanca neigbourhood - one of the best areas to live in Madrid. With superb breakfast and with a good location - in my humble opinion the best if you want to stay "a bit" away from the historic city centre mess, yet close to it (about a 10 min. walk) and to Retiro park (5 mins), not forgetting the all the high street fashion brands stores and good quality restaurants. Interesting prices. A good surprise for me. Very balanced room size. Bathroom i... Read more

The location is very good, in Barrio de Salamanca, within walking distance to central Madrid. The hotel is modern, clean and attractive. Breakfast is a real feast. On top of it all, the staff is friendly, effective and very nice. WIFI signal in the room was also unusually good for a hotel. Two drawbacks: the double bed was rather small.
