Stayed here with Riviera Travel, found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable. The food was very good and it is very easy to get in to the city centre on the bus 1.50 euros.Only complaint is a kettle with NO cups!!!!

Nice and clean Hotel. Itsn't a luxury hotel but there is everything you need for a fare stay, both good for family or business. Not too far from Madrid downtown, but you need to take taxi (approx 20 minutes, 15â?¬) or metro, but walking

Hotel staff fine but the rooms require refurbishing. Our Room Carpet was really grubby and although tea and coffee making facilities are in the room only plastic glasses supplied. A first for any hotel I've stayed in. The Breakfasts were very good also the Evening Meal but spoilt by not having Tea or Coffee available only water or Beer and Wine if you wish to pay for it. A very Nice Tapas bar is situated across the road much cheaper than the Hotel Bar. The Hotel is way outside Madrid on the oth... Read more

Nice hotel in Madrid near to Bull fighting arena. However needs renovation as it looks old. Good service and staff. As a common comment, all Novotel Hotels needs to improve the Room Service/Restaurant Menus with more vegetarian items.

Attractive reception/bar area and pleasant staff. I didn't understand some reviews that mentioned dated rooms, unless there's a progressive refurb going on? Our room (309) was absolutely fine with a smart bathroom (shower only) and furnishings and a sofa bed as well as double bed. True the paper cups supplied with the kettle are a bit annoying and environmentally unfriendly but if staying more than couple of days buy some cheap mugs (or make a stand and take your breakfast mugs to your room). Stayed here in May 2016 for 4 nights and overall was very happy with the experience! The positives- 1- Nice clean, big room with a double bed and a foldable bed (for 3 people) 2- Very clean bathrooms with good shower space 3- Extremely friendly and helpful staff 4- Great location, not in the city centre but there is a metro station within 10 minutes walking distance, a cab would take 10 minutes to the city centre Airport is about 15 minutes away 5- Very good locality with nice restaurants arou... The reception staff and domestic/cleaner? were extremely helpful and friendly. A credit to the Novotel Group. The same could be said for the lady managing the breakfast area. The reasonable sized room was clean and tidy as was the bathroom. As I tend to eat a continental breakfast, there was plenty of choice as far as I could see, but not overly impressed with the coffee making machine. The evening bar meals did not look particularly exciting, so ate out. Used the number 53 bus which stops out... Read more

Stayed for 4 nights as part of group. Room was clean, tea/coffee making facilities but very few hangers! Reasonable choice at buffet breakfast but food never hot. Fried eggs possible but sometimes you have to ask. Pool at hotel opens at 11.00 not 9.00 as sign at poolside states. Buffet dinner could be much better. Salad is often limp and grated carrots are dreadful. We never saw a manager or chef supervising the food area or restaurant. Very good bus service to city centre on Service 53 for 1.5 ... Read more

Hotel was very nice - breakfast great and also the Swimming Pool outdoor was great. Noise a Little disturbing due to the motorway infront of the hotel. however, this is Madrid and not country-side. All together it was ok.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Room was excellent, staff were friendly and very helpful. Outside swimming pool available (if thats your thing). Breakfast well organised, get seated and help yourself. Bar meals were tasty service very efficient. About 1hr 20 mins walk from city centre but bus stop next to the hotel, 1euro 50 for a single fare anywhere on the route. Tapas bar / restaurant next door to hotel. Booking in and out went very smoothly.

Very conveniently located near a metro station and just a few minutes from the airport. Had a really comfortable stay here before our return to India. The reception staff were really polite & they had a lovely restaurant serving some delectable food. Their airport shuttle was always available whenever we needed it.

We spent two weeks at this hotel .The rooms are quite small , adequate for two , but we had two children one teenager and one eleven year old with us, and felt a bit squashed ! The rooms are basic enough , decor is bland, and they provide no cups to drink tea/coffee from ,just paper cups??? Probably our biggest complaint would be the the lack of sun loungers for guests who want to sit by the pool..there were only nine loungers available that weren't broken, and although reported to front desk, n... Not only is this the least attractive Novotel I have ever been to - the rooms are tiny and reeks of old cigarette smoke What a nightmare, I'm bailing out first thing tomorrow morning The location is OK if you have business in the adjacent business areas, otherwise there's no reason coming here

Stayed at the hotel for just one night on a business trip, because location was good. In general the room and bathroom were clean and tidy, just nothing to elevate it above average and a few little niggles: - Very (and unavoidably) creaky bed - Some marks on bedding (not dirty just tired and a little stained) - No iron/ironing board - Small TV by today's standards - Below average Internet (could not stream video), which whilst free, I've experienced a lot better The staff were friendly, the br... We had a group of 50 children and 53 adults for Football/soccer tournament in Spain. I don't think this hotel could cope with such a large number. We stayed for 6 nights and on our last night we were told they had no food left for us so we had to go to a local restaurant. Food was average, rooms were clean. The safe wasn't working and the wifi kept dropping out. The staff couldn't speak a word of English and would only speak to us in Spanish which made it very difficult ordering food or drinks. ... Reception staff very friendly. The lady helped with good information and explained everything really good. The room was very clean, air conditioning at a perfect temperature and the decoration was also very good. The room equipment was new. The restroom was very nice too, well equiped with modern furniture.

We stayed here at the end of June on a kid-free city break. It is easy to get to by the metro, albeit about a 10 minute walk from the metro station. Do not be put off by the slightly dated looking grey exterior, it is lovely inside. We stayed in a superior room (to be honest, I think that that is what they call their basic room) and it was lovely. Very comfortable and everything you would expect, and thankfully air conditioned as it was very hot outside. Our board was B&B but we treated oursel... Read more

Stayed here once before and was not convinced, but had a course schedule in the hotel and (given July temp in Madrid) thought the sensible option was to stay. Good: 1. Staff all very friendly 2. Reasonable room size Bad: 1. Only on working lift/elevator for 8 (I think) floors 2. Food - some VERY strange lunchtime menus 3. Worst air-con ever 4. Repeat 1. especially between 7:30 and 9:00 in the morning On balance - not awful, but not recommend and I won't be staying again.

Chaos at breakfast , Raised issue with staff and they say the Hotel Manager is in dispute with the Elevator company and they allowed me to use the service lift. We stayed here a for a couple nights in July. The staff were friendly, the location was good for our needs (tourist visit to Madrid centre). We parked on the street just outside the hotel, but the hotel also offered plenty of parking at a reasonable rate. Breakfast was reasonable but nothing special. One of the hotel lifts was broken, which meant we spent most of the time using the stairs as the queues were too long. The room was of a good standard but dated. We visited during August and the hotel was fine for a few days, but wouldn't recommend staying any longer. The rooms are fairly small, and the air con is pretty weak, however they're clean and fairly modern. It's a little outside town, but we found it really easy to order taxis to wear we want to go - the staff are reception were really helpful and quick in organising this for us. It is off the beaten track, but it's not really an issue. There is a bus and metro really close to the hotel that takes you into town. We took a taxi every day for ease and it costs between 8 and 16 euros depending of course where you wish to go. We had three nights and the rooms were ok. As we were in a family room, there is only a double bed and a sofa, but once these are out, there is little room for manoeuvre. For the second and third nights we upgraded to the executive rooms. Everything you need from a city hotel. Pool. WiFi. Bus stop by front door. Restaurant and bar. Xbox area. Kids indoor play area. Clean tidy rooms. Staff are brilliant and helpful. Fairly quiet. Pokestop on front door step! Only thing I would say is they need more sunbeds. Counted 22 and they are always taken. Would definately recommended for a stay in Madrid.

We are just back (2 adults & 2 Kids under 13) from a week here. It was a last minute booking to Madrid and there was a decent offer on for this hotel. Ideally we wanted something as close to the centre (SOL) of the city as possible but this was our best option with limited availability on our dates of travel. Its 10 minutes from the Madrid airport. Taxis are expensive here. There are no 7 seater taxis available in Madrid and the fare from the airport starts at 20 euro!! There is a ... Read more

First off: I genuinely didn't know this hotel had a pool or XBox area - it's a shame the receptionists didn't tell me this as my boy would have loved these. For the price we paid (161 Euros for room only Friday, Saturday & Sunday night just past) this was a really nice hotel. For some reason, I couldn't check in at my booked hotel in the city center. Instead, they proposed me this hotel and I booked at it. The staff are dealing professionally with a good manner. The room we stayed at is very old and the toilet needs immediate attention. Didn't like the breakfast much. Anyways, for the circumstances I was at, it is a fair value.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst attending a course with work. Can't fault the service on arrival, the receptionist who checked me in was very welcoming. Went there for 3 nights with a family member at the end of September and literal nothing went the way it should. 4 stars must be pretty relative (and I usually live in mediocre hotels/hostels) but Novotel takes the cake for disappointment. THE ROOMS: Dreadful, they're old and smelly with dirty rugs and holes in the walls. The TV has giant scratch marks on it and the only thing that seems new is the bathroom. This relatively modern but characterless 4 star hotel is located in the outskirts of the city centre - it takes 15-20 minutes by taxi (10-12 euros) to get to Puerta del Sol. If you're in Madrid as a tourist, this isn't the best location. Public transit isn't too far away, but it takes about 30 minutes to get to any of the sites that people want to visit in Madrid. The walk to the train isn't so bad; during the day there are a few decent cafes and a nice park to walk by. At night though, this location is really awful for finding food or anything else really.
