Before we even arrived at this hotel I had a good feeling. I emailed to see if they could recommend a restaurant as it would be our first wedding anniversary the day we arrived and Eva could not do enough to help us and at both her recommendations the food was excellent. The Mexican place Entre Suspiro y Suspiro which is right near the hotel and a traditional Spanish place called El Tenedor a short walk away are both definitely worth a visit if you want a meal that is not your typical tourist sp... We stayed as a couple in Feb. First the excellent part: The location is great, we did not have to take the bus or a taxi after arriving by metro. It ir just 500 m from the Opera Metro exit, and hence very easy to hop by for an hours rest during days activities. Very close to Palacio Real, Sol, Gran Via, and El Rastro (within walking distance). The staff is great. I fell ill and they obliged us with a Paracetamol when we couldn't find it anywhere at midnight. This is a big deal in Madrid The b... Read more

This hostel is a bargain. Equal to at least 3-star hotel. A central & quiet street at a reasonable price with great breakfast. Inside the room there is a safe, minibar and TV. The WI FI works well. Our room had a problem with the shower floor flooded the floor. Another small problem, the design did not consider small lighting to those who got up at night. Besides minor problems, the place is highly recommended.

Stayed in this hotel for two nights at easter. Arrived early evening and was pleasantly surprised, the rooms are clean, modern, not enormous by any standards but for a couple that plan to spend most of the day out they were more than adequate. There are mini bars in the room for those to tired to leave after a days sightseeing. What's best about this hotel i believe is its location! Only 100m to a large square in the centre of Madrid. 5 min to the palace and the famous market. Staff were very... Read more

The location is excellent, right near Opera metro. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Wifi is a bit slow, breakfast was reasonable. Unfortunately it ends there. Our room was the worlds tiniest room, with an even smaller bathroom. When you had a shower the water would spill out onto the floor and the sliding door is rotting from the water problem. The designer put a wide leg based blue chair in this room, I cannot remember the times I stubbed my times on it! The staff put on music in the ... Read more

Quick overview points: Great Location Affordable Price FREE AND FAST WIFI Wonderful service ----------------- The location, service, rooms and PRICE are the best! Really friendly hotel in a great location. A minute's walk from the opera house, five minutes from the Grand Palace and yet really quiet and comfortable. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful and offered a free mobile wifi gadget that allowed high speed wifi all over the city. Fun shampoos etc as well.

Our room was large with a stylish decoration. It was very clean. There were lots of amenities and all you need to prepare coffee or tea. The bathroom is separated from the room only by a smoked glass wall, the shower is large and the sink isn't in the bathroom but in the room. Beds are very very comfortables. The location is great: it's situated in a nice quiet street in the very city centre by the Opera house. The underground is one minute walking.

This was the very first time we went to this hotel and and we couldn't be happier! Don't let the 2 stars fool you - it has got everything that a lot of major hotels have and more. The location is great: it's right in front of a really nice vegetarian restaurant and what might be the coolest bookstore in Madrid! I can't recommend it enough!

The room we got wasnt same as advertised on the website...It didnt have any nice designs on the walls as it was shown. There was no Bath, but tiny shower. Location great , room clean, bed comfy... But really dissapointed not having one of those beautful rooms as they were only available at extra cost.

Two female friends, 24&25. I was very impressed with the location of this hotel. It was a 3min walk to the Royal Palace and that was beautiful in itself and a 1min walk from the metro, Opera. 10min walk to the square where there was a lot to see and do, food or shopping or entertainment. The hotel was spotless, the cleaners do a great job, the rooms were so quirky and very modern, the staff were lovely and able to speak in various languages. The balcony from the room was so gorgeous! The location is amazing! Next to the metro...you don't really need the metro coz you can walk almost everywhere. The stuff was helpful. I need a taxi at 4.45 am. I went and let them know the night before my flight. They called... I was a little nervous coz I was travel alone and had to be in a taxi at 4.45 am. Surprisingly, when I was checking out the taxi driver standing in the lobby. The stuff introduced me to him...basically, to confirm that I will be ok on my way to the airport. I'm very hap... If you come to Madrid then this place needs to be considered to stay at. Having spent a few nights in Madrid (at another hotel), we travelled down to San Sebastián for a few days before heading back to Madrid for one last night. We paid about £74 for an executive double room. The hotel is lovely, with the room overlooking a small leafy street which you can watch over through two sets of patio doors. The location is pretty much as central as you can get and the staff were fantastic. Well worth ... Read more
